Cincy hosts Baltimore (Ravens need a win to secure the #2 seed and a bye) Tennessee visits Houston (Houston is locked into the #3 seed, no matter what, meaning they'll likely rest their starters) Oakland hosts San Diego (Chargers are out of the playoff race and have nothing left to play for, although this is a historically bitter rivalry) Denver hosts KC (Chiefs will be bringing Kyle Orton back into Denver as their qb... that will be rich) Or our Dolphins could just beat you and put you out of your misery... And then there's this additional Christmas nugget: http://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com/2011/12/25/jets-have-a-decision-to-make-on-sanchez/ Merry Christmas Jets Fans!
I agree. And while were on the subject, how long before Jets fans realize Rex Ryan is nothing more then a loud mouthed gasbag who`s act is getting old and worthless???
Actually P13, that is not such a far fetched scenario: -Cinci usually plays the Ravens tough, but Baltimore needs the win...Cinci/L -TN v Texans..Texans are struggling lately with Yates at Qb, they aren't going to rest anyone, if anything they will give Yates chances to drive the offense -SD v Oakland is always a toss up gm, SD can beat Oakland -Denver v KC..which Tebow shows up? This is the one gm that may not go their way BUT, if the above happens, they can make the dance Assuming, they beat us...and to the team's credit they have not mailed in a single gm this yr, with the Nacho struggling, it will be interesting to see if we beat them if we really did keep them out of the playoffs. That would cause a meltdown in Jetsland.
Funny though most Jet fans believe that their Offense is mostly the cause of this years problems... and they are not really looking at the whole picture for the last 3 years... The reason the team made the Post Season in 2009-2010 was the result of the Defenses. If it was not for their D they would have never made it past game 16 in both seasons... Their Defense in 2009 gave up an average of 15 points per game while scoring 22 ppg... In 2010 their D gave up an average of 19 points per game while scoring about 23 ppg... This year the D has given up and average of 24 points per game while scoring 24 ppg... So the Offense has been consistant in scoring the same amount of points for the past 3 years, but their Defense has been allowing about 10 more points per game over the last 2 years... even a blind man can see that... Sanchez issues have been consistant since his first year, but they have not run the ball well. This as we all know has forced Sanchez to throw more. Sure he has scored a few more TD's through the air, but his mistakes are more noticeable since the games are closer becasue opponents are scoring more on their D.... In playing english now, we do have a really good chance of beating them... if we play mistake free football... and add to the their fans frustrations...
If the jests get in they deserve it-the way it's set up with best records no team really backs into the playoffs although at times it may look that way.Yes at this time of year good teams at times rest players and a team gets a break not haveing to face their starters. If Miami wins they knock them out so for that alone it makes the game worth a look.
You know whats funny, people say that we get the breaks this time of year and that we back into the playoffs, at least we put ourselves in the position to back into the playoffs, unlike some other teams
2004 4-12 2006 6-10 2007 1-15 2009 7-9 2010 7-9 I could see maybe 2009 and 2010, but the other seasons you were out before Dec.
I thought we were talking about just the last two seasons, when the Rex Ryan era started. My mistake.
Gotcha, we made the playoffs, nothing more can be said. Backed in or not, the team still managed to out themselves in the position to back in.
I kinda miss the days the Pets fans called him "sanchise" I'm sure they say it with a little different meaning now haha.
Link? I will not be worried about next season unless Shotty is still the OC, but i have high hopes, he may be the Miami Head coach!
Cant really fault you for thinking that the Jets will finish last in the division next season, our play has been bad. But dont get ahead of yourself, Moore is not the answer to your teams issues.
Im talking about the link of the thread that you predicted it, not some website. You know there are always prediction threads on here before the season.
He's not? 5-3 the last 8 games, 11th best qb rating in the NFL, at a hair under 90. Fitzpatty is 18th at 80. Sanchise is 22nd with 79. I'm not saying Moore is our final answer. But he is clearly the 2nd best qb in the AFC East by a far margin. Again, I'm not saying he is our answer, but if Sanchez played merely like Matt Moore, Jet forums would be littered with "Sanchize...see?? i told you so!!!" threads. The Jets game will be telling. We played in Dallas on Thanksgiving, where Romo is 5-0, and caught Romo and that defense at their absolute best, and almost beat them. We gave the Iggles way too many gifts to overcome, and we never could play Vick well. And we took it to the Pats in foxboro until the bitter end. The Jet game will be telling, records aside about who has the better team heading into next year. You know whats funny? Disnardo put it together. Sanchize and Schotty just put together their best offensive performance of the past 3 seasons. Its the aged, over rated D that fell off, nearly 10 points a game from 2 seasons ago. Don't get me wrong, its ludacris to think the Jets will finish last so long as the bills are in the division. Then again, the Jets have become the slap-dick team Rex Ryan feared and loathed so much in Hard Knocks.
I hope you guys go with Moore next season, i have always been high on him, i just dont think he is what you guys need. Going to be a dogfight next season.
Hahahahahahahahaahahahahahaaha.... Sanchez is the worst QB in the AFC East even with Moore as our QB!!!!!!!!
Did Santonio Holmes really walk off the podium after being asked if he would play for the Jets next season?
