wasnt it ZAch who said something to the effect of... "I spend all my career hating those guys why would I go play for them?"

    Zach is that man!:theman:

JT going to the Jets was just icing on a **** cake.

He was and always will be a prima donna, who *****ed about everything. He disrespects the new regime by avoiding offseason workouts to go play ballerina on TV, then gets all manner of sand in his vagina when he's offered an informal contract by the same regime after a mediocre season for him. He was the leader of a defense that led us to more heartbreak than important wins and his only real accomplishment was leading the league in sacks in a year we missed the playoffs. Whoppee.

It personally disgusts me that he has a shot at the HOF and Zach Thomas does not.

Probably the best defensive player to put on a Dolphin uniform. HOF awaits.

Taylor was kicked out by that d-bag Bill Parcells, who ultimately did nothing for this last place franchise currently on their longest streak of losing seasons since the 1960s, twice and he came back both times. (Actually you wouldn't even know Parcells was here, since he and ESPN conveniently forget to mention it ever.)

I could care less if he went to the Jets, I would've done it too with Parcells here.

    One! More! Year!

I wish I lived in Miami so I could start the chant. IMO he hasn't been bad this year and would love him to give it one more shot because I think Miami might actually be pretty decent next year.

Eh, Parcells got a 2nd round pick for him towards the end of his career. Then brought him back......granted that pick got us Pat White but still.

JT busted his butt ON the field for us for many years. His off field choices I really couldnt care less about. Are you saying you really didnt appreciate what he brought to the table defensively? I dont see how any Dolphins fan can say that, but to each his own I guess.

Thing about White, though, is that he was extremely out of shape. I met him on several occasions (he did a camp with a team I coached in NC). One of those occasions was when he first came to the Panthers. When I talked to him, he actually admitted that he was not in great shape and was beginning to lose passion for the game. That wasn't his words verbatim, but it was pretty much along those lines. Taylor, however, is still in very good shape and has never had any significant injuries that has tore into his abilities (other than back issues). I feel he would still be good for another 5-8 sacks if he were to give it one more season as a pass rush specialist.

Well make up your own definition of traitor i guess.lol. They left a superbowl contending team for more money because they didnt like what they were getting offered. Dosent matter for who. People wanna throw names around then understand the meaning and how it applies.

Miami could have won a couple of more superbowls if they stayed and been the real team of the decade. To me, if you or anyone else is gonna throw the word traitor around then it has to apply to something that was more hurtful to the franchise than JT going the the Jets. Just because JT's was more resent dosent make it worse. Perspective is a forgotten form of thought, we all do it. Just helps to be reminded now and then.

Odd thing to think is, this will be the Dolphins last Hall of Fame player for quite sometime, I suspect Zach Thomas will make it in by the Vets Cmte.

Did not realize he is second all time in games played as a Dolphin.

    He wasn't catching Marino's 242 though.

That was a joke. What I am suggesting is that he did that so he could continue working in his profession. Don't be naive. If you were him and you wanted to play you'd go wherever they would pay you. Miami didn't want him that season, more specifically rotten Tuna didn't want him. There was no offer other than the shady mid season napkin offer that had to be done immediately on the spot with no agent involved. No a deal like that definitely doesn't smell fishy... nothing to see here... just sign on the dotted line. You JT haters never cease to amaze me sometimes. It's hilarious these days watching people either invent new reasons to hate or desperately latch onto old obselete ones.

Too bad he couldn't play all positions on D. All he did was make plays. Does it bother you more that he was a better player than Zach or that he'll make the HOF?

If he gets 2 more sacks against the Jets he's tied for 5th all time with Strahan in sacks. He is another Dolphin HOFer and was a key part of our defense in the 2000's.

I will definitely be wearing my JT jersey on sunday and can't wait for a win!

Changes will be made. This team needs a pass rushing threat still.

If you cant appreciate one of our greatest players ever why on earth would you even follow this team? Some very irrational and silly fin fans out there.

One of our all time greats and a certain hall of famer congratulations on a great career I'm very happy it ended in aqua and orange like it should.

I understand I'm in the minority. But I'm not sure what part about not liking a certain player means my fandom should come into question.

Again, I'm in the minority, but I blame 1-15 on JT (75%). Its how see it, right, wrong or indifferent.

Any team can be derailed by a single player. Its why we label these players as cancerous. JT was a cancer that offseason and season. Everyone blames Cam, but he never had a chance to take control of that team, because it already belonged to JT. JT openly lobbied for Capers in the locker room and media. Cam was selected and rightfully so, (hell if Cam had never been HC here his name would be a candidate for the coaching job right now). After Cam was selected, instead of accepting it, JT continued to openly criticize the decision without ever meeting with Cam or knowing anything about him. If you guys think that had no bearing on the other players on the team you simply aren't being honest. It was already a divided team, players on one side new coach on the other before a single practice or snap or meeting, and JT was the players' leader. Cameron tried to win over these dissenting vets with easier offeseason practices. The result? The first 4 games of that year, the offense wasn't horrible, but the defense was the worst I had ever seen in Miami. They were gassed and played with all the fire of an igloo. The same guys that said we couldn't win, literally kept us from winning the first 4 games and the cycle perpetuated itself. Now JT could justify his gripes (not saying he sucked on purpose) by pointing to 0-4 and whatever hope we had, was gone. All the blame is put on Cam, but there's a handful of coaches in the history of the NFL that could have overcome a roadblock like the icon of the team already rallying the rest of the team against you when you haven't met a single player on the team yet and that same icon and his side of the ball costing you the first four games of your inaugural season. JT's actions sabotaged the team that year and opened the door for Parcells era. During which, we saw JT play for the Jets, of all teams.

Excellent fiction here. I've also heard that JT bullied Cam into drafting Ted Ginn and his family and that he also convinced Cam that fail forward fast was a great training strategy.

Sounds like our D in 2011. Who was the cancer this year? Dansby? And you can't blame it on the lockout, cause other teams' defense didn't turn to vomit.

Not a bit of it is fiction. That all actually happened. Your memory is shot.

First of all, Ted Ginn may have been a mistake, but it wasn't a 1-15 mistake. "Fail forward fast" was nothing but a few words and didn't actually affect anything. The only damage those two things did, was feed into the **** ball that JT had already formed.

I think it's telling that Cam Cameron hasn't even sniffed another head coaching job since that time. I think if the idea that JT sabotaged Cam carried any weight with anyone in the league then somebody would at least be considering giving him another chance under more ideal conditions. Has anybody even had a passing interesting in Cam Cameron as head coach in the past four years?

I know JT was a fan of Capers. The fiction is when we go from JT lobbying for Dom Capers to him being so upset at not getting his way that he decided to sabotage Cam Cameron and in effect the team he had busted his *** for for many years already. JT wanted Dom Capers to be coach. That did not happen. Ergo, JT must have hated Cam Cameron so much that he used his weight with the team and community to ruin Cam's coaching career. Wow, what a jump. I suppose Joey Porter's outburst was also staged by the evil puppet master himself. You're just making way too many assumptions here with no real evidence. That's why you're in the minority.

You said that only 'a handful of coaches in the history of the NFL' could have overcome JT's sabotage. Cam was a highly regarded HC prospect. If he was truly in a situation that almost nobody 'in the history of the NFL' could have succeeded in then why isn't somebody giving him a second look to see how he could do in more ordinary circumstances? It's not like he's the only guy to have a really bad season as a head coach.
