You very well could be right, I just don't understand why he would joke around about something like this.

I just don't understand how he can get riled up about a WR dropping a pass or a ball being overthrown after he blew his coverage.

I think he's just kidding with JT and expressing his desire for him to come back.... maybe?

Benign twitter posts become referendums on a man's character.

    The internets are serious business.

I don't think you have to look at Sean Smith's twitter to see why people question his character.

And yet it comes up in a thread about a light-hearted twitter post.

This one qualifies for a "Don't hit send" award..

The rest of the defense had been pranking SS on twitter saying he would have a trivia contest on twitter and the winner would receive a meal for 2 at Prime 112(?), I suspect he was trying to hit back..in a rather ill conceived manner...Sean..buddy..Don't Hit Send.

I don't think Smith is all that bad, from what I've seen from him he's been just fine (talking about his personality). Just needs to learn how to tackle.

Reggie Howard was a bad corner.....
Sean Smith is miles above that guy.

Edit: I forgot to call you Daddy...... Welcome

I agree, still annoying that Reggie Howard doesn't even play in the nfl anymore but still has 3 more interceptions than Sean Smith, but he has played longer but in reserved role.

I think Sean is a promising corner and he guards the long passes and the slant routes pretty well but the guy has to learn how to stop a damn comeback route and swing his hips or he's going to keep getting killed on his side of the ball.

Honestly I think he would be better at safety than at corner.

Smith has length so of course he does those things. His hips have been discussed ad nauseam.
Even Madison thinks he should get some cheddar.LOL

lol, but i think if Sean Smith can get those things corrected or at least adjust to them, he could be a lock down corner. Nnamdi Asomugha makes me think of what an adjusted Sean Smith could look like, Aso made the adjustment from safety and used his height and strength to his advantage and is a top corner in the NFL. Don't think I'm expecting Smith to become Asomugha but I think Smith has the potential to be that kind of player.

I agree, SS would probably make a better Free Safety hen Corner, and it would give us an answer to Te's.

Bring on the new Staff already.

Wow, just went back and read an old thread on a Jason Cole article about SS, everyone absolutely bashed him for what he said but he was kind of spot on about SS in hindsight.

I think the worst thing of it is all of his tackles are after is receiver makes a 10 yard catch. SS needs to show more aggressiveness against his receiver and also against the run, I hardly ever see him near the running back to make a tackle.

He is the type of player that makes you want to pull your balls off. If the HB is free he runs after him real slow, as if he doesn't want to tackle him. Then as soon as someone else is there he runs hard to get his hands on the HB to get some statistical credit for a tackle that he didn't deserve.

I really hope the Dolphins consider him to be moved to FS, even if he doesn't pan out I would like for them to atleast give it a chance.

I don't see us just parting ways with him at all. This third year will really be his make or break year in my opinion. He will either take a giant leap forward or stay the same. I think they are going to try to keep him at CB, but they could try him at FS. FS is more about making the right reads, being in the right area at the right time, speed, and tackling. He always seems to be in the right area at the right time, but he doesn't have the short area speed in my opinion and we know tackling is his weak point. I think he matches us well against taller receivers and we drafted him originally for those monsters at WR. I guess it will be good to see how he does against Burress this week.

I really hope SS can turn the corner next year, if he doesn't I think we would need to consider drafting a new one in next years draft, after a QB(if we don't get one this year). He has the size to shutdown receivers and he has the strength to stop the receivers but he just can't coover any short routes besides a slant route, if he can just be consistent and learn to tackle he can be a great corner.

It's funny to see posts *****ing about Smith not being a good tackler, then those same posters wanting him to be a FS, which is the last line of defense, which is where you'd really like to have a good tackler.

Smith is a perfectly good corner. Are there flaws? Sure...but name corners outside of Revis and Nmandi that don't have flaws....I think it's just become very cool to hate on just about anyone on the roster these days. I guess 7-9, 7-9, and whatever we finish this season will do that to people...

that being said, he blocked me on Twitter so I no longer see his tweets.

Guess me posting this pic of him getting his hair did pissed him off. :)
