My League does a two week championship. I am currently up 5 points (so I basically need to win again this week). Can you all help me out on who to start or sit? Thanks in advance!!

It is a Points per Reception League and Points per Tackle League.

Here are the positions we can start:
    1.) QB -
    2.) RB -
    3.) RB -
    4.) RB/WR -
    5.) WR -
    6.) WR -
    7.) TE -
8.) OP - (Can be ANY offensive player; including QBs.... Normally I use another QB here)
    9.) LB -
    10.) DL -
    11.) CB -
    12.) S -
    13.) D/ST -
    14.) K -

Here are all my Players listed in their Positions:
    Quarterbacks
1.) Drew Brees - I'd like to start him, I am just scared they might sit him down and rest him.
2.) Ben Roethlisburger - Reportedly is only playing half of the game. Probably won't play him.
3.) Matt Moore - Picked him up last week with juicy match-up with Pats... doubt I start against Jets.
---Notable Free Agents - Christian Ponder (vs Chicago), John Skelton (vs. Seattle), Rex Grossman (vs. Philadelphia), Tavarius Jackson (vs. Arizona), Matt Flynn (vs. Detroit)

    Halfbacks
1.) Michael Turner - Numbers have been getting worse and worse. Good match up with Tampa Bay.
2.) Reggie Bush - Has been carrying my team. Scared with him playing the Jets (in a must win situation), plus he had that minor injury last week (and missed practice today)
3.) Jonathan Stewart - Its so frustrating with him because he could be great if he wasn't splitting carries. Plays New Orleans.
4.) Kahlil Bell - Just picked him up. Played well the last two weeks and faces a woeful Vikings defense.

    Wide Receivers
1.) Wes Welker - Has carried my team, especially with his receptions. Will he play the whole game?
2.) D'Wayne Bowe - Go to Guy on a team that is often behind. Plays a tough Denver D.
3.) Demaryrius Thomas - Tebows go to receiver. But they don't throw often and KC's defense has been stingy.
4.) Denarius Moore - Typical rookie stud WR. Dominates one game and then completely disappears the next game.
5.) Malcolm Floyd - Has been incredible the last two weeks, faces Oakland.
----- Notable Free Agents - James Jones (vs. Detroit), Doug Baldwin (vs. Arizona), Nate Burleson (vs. Green Bay), Torrey Smith (vs. Cincinnati)

    Tight End
1.) Jason Witten - Hasn't played well last couple of weeks. Will Tony's injury help or hurt his numbers?
----- Notable Free Agents - Brandon Pettigrew (vs. Green Bay), Brent Celek (vs. Washington), Jared Cook (vs. Houston)

    Offensive Player
1.) Can start any one additional player listed above.

    Linebacker
1.) James Anderson - Plays the Saints, if the Saints get up early he could get a ton of tackles. Has been playing well recently.
2.) Jerod Mayo - Plays Buffalo. Has been on fire recently. If Pats get up big early Buffalo could start passing the ball more taking him out of the equation.
3.) DeMarcus Ware - I am scared to start him vs the Giants because if he doesn't get a sack or two his numbers look bad because he doesn't get a lot of tackles. He does have 18 sacks so far though. I guess I am just scared that he will crap out and get 0 points :(
---- Notable Free Agents - Brian Cushing (vs. Tennessee), Chad Greenway (vs. Chicago), Lawrence Timmons (vs. Cleveland), Pat Angerer (vs. Jacksonville)

    Defensive Line
1.) Trent Cole - Pretty Consistent, but has been blanked a few times... Plays Washington
2.) Jason Babin - I can only start one of these guys and always pick the wrong one. Verse a crappy Washington line I don't know who to start.
---- Notable Free Agents - Chris Clemons (vs. Arizona), Connor Barwin (vs. Tennessee)

    Cornerback
1.) DeAngelo Hall - He normally gets a lot of tackles. Playing the Eagles, so he should get his fair share of tackles and INT opportunities.
---- Notable Free Agents - Jason McCourty (vs. Houston), Eric Wright (vs. Green Bay), Brandon Browner (vs. Arizona), Devin McCourty (vs. Buffalo), Tramon Williams (vs. Detroit)

    Safety
1.) Roman Harper - Solid starter, should get a lot of opportunities for plays against Carolina.
---- Antoine Bethea (vs. Jacksonville), Tyvon Branch (vs. Oakland), Charlie Peprah (vs. Detroit)

    Defense/Special Teams
1.) New York Jets - Have been up and down. I can either see them shutting us out or us putting like 30 on them.
---- Notable Fee Agents - Lions (vs. Green Bay), Jaguars (vs. Colts), Colts (vs. Jaguars), Broncos (vs. Chiefs), Giants (vs. Dallas)

Thanks for your input guys!!! I can't wait to see who you would start if you were in my shoes!!! Hopefully I bring this trophy back for all of Dolphins nation

QB - Drew Brees - Just hope that St. Louis can make it a game through the first half.
RB - Michael Turner - Always start someone who gets a fair share of touches against Tampa Bay... always.
RB - Reggie Bush - Jets rush defense is not that great, I think he gets his numbers.
RB/WR - Kahlil Bell - Big part of the Bears offense, gotta roll with him.
WR - Wes Welker - You'll want to make sure Welker is active, but I'd go with him if he plays.
WR - Dwayne Bowe - He'll surely get his fair share of targets with Orton.
OP - Matt Flynn - Go Matt Moore if he won't play, monitor Rodger's status.
TE - Jared Cook - May as well go with the hot hand, Witten has been quiet in the 2nd half of the season and was smothered last time he faced the Giants. Cook has been hot the past two weeks.
LB - Pat Angerer - All the Jags have is MJD, Angerer is always around the ball carrier.
DL - Jason Babin - Go with the guy who has more sacks.
    CB - DeAngelo Hall - Fair match-up.
    S - Roman Harper - Solid match-up.
DEF - New York Jets - You could go Denver, but it's a tough call.

    Hope this helps.

    Thanks!!!

I love your insight! There are only a few things I am concerned with.
-Reggie Bush sat out practice today, so I am definitely going to monitor his status for the Jets game. If he looks doubtful, I will probably move Bell up to HB and then put Malcolm Floyd in at the HB/WR role.
-Matt Flynn from all reports will play this coming game, I just don't know how much. I have heard rumors it will be half of the game, but I don't know. I am going to monitor the game and see what they say. If he is playing the whole game I will start him in a heartbeat; on the same token I don't know if Matt Flynn for half a game is better than Matt Moore or someone else for a whole game... tough call, especially since all the FA QB's have hard match-ups.

I love everything else you pointed out though! Thanks again :)

QB: Drew Brees, but tentatively. Matt Moore may wind up as your best option. Wait and see what the Saints' say about resting starters.
RB: Reggie Bush, no reason not to.
RB: Kahlil Bell, he's costing Matt Forte big bucks.
WR: Wes Welker, he has a 1600 yard/10 TD season within grasp, and I think Belichick lets him go for it.
WR: Malcolm Floyd, since this is the part of the year when the Chargers remember that they're the Chargers.
RB/WR: Dwayne Bowe, I agree with GIK on this one.
TE: Brent Celek or Jared Cook. Cook is hotter, Celek has been great when targeted. Cook is probably better.
LB: Jerod Mayo seems the safest bet.
DL: Jason Babin, agree with GIK.
    CB: DeAngelo Hall, ditto.
    S: Roman Harper, ditto x2.
DEF: Broncos have the best matchup here.

Brees it is at QB. Matt Moore or Matt Flynn (if Rodgers sits) at Offensive flex

Coach Sean Payton insisted Wednesday that the Saints' starters will all play as usual in Week 17 against the Panthers.
Several Saints were injured when Payton played his starters in a similar Week 17 position last year, but they're apparently planning the same approach. "We're going into it full speed ahead," said Payton, adding that he will not monitor the 49ers-Rams game in order to decide playing time. San Francisco can clinch the NFC's No. 2 seed with a win, leaving New Orleans as No. 3. Payton cited late-season momentum as a reason for Drew Brees et al to play fully.

Thanks for all of your insight guys! I still am up in the air about what I am going to do. I guess I really just want to win, so I am being overly cautious.

This is my current line up if the game was today (Bold players are players I am going to start, italics mean I still don't know):
1.) QB - Drew Brees - Locked in. I am going to start him.
2.) RB - Michael Turner - limited participant in Thursday's practice. Not sure if Atlanta rests its starters if Detroit beats Green Bay earlier on in the day.
3.) RB - Reggie Bush - Missed Thursdays practice. Even if he practices Friday he has a tough match up with the Jets.
4.) RB/WR - Kahlil Bell - I am starting him one way or the other. Currently I have him here, if another HB can't go I'll slide him into one of their roles and add another WR.
5.) WR - Wes Welker - Has been a hell of a player this year. Limited in practice Thursday, but he should play.
6.) WR - D'Wayne Bowe - Champ Bailey has shut him down the last couple of matches, but Orton loves his #1 WR and will try to force feed Bowe.
7.) TE - Jared Cook - He has the hot hand and the Titans have been throwing the ball a lot more in the last two games.
8.) OP - Ben Roethlisburger or Malcom Floyd - Hardest decision yet. Roethlisburger will play Sunday, but no one knows how long. Floyd should have another solid game with V-Jax out of the game. Really tough call here.
9.) LB - James Anderson or Jarod Mayo- Another tough call... I could see Anderson not getting a lot of stats if the Saints air it out, where as if the Patriots get up by a lot early (as expected) the Bills will resort to throwing the ball and will limit Mayo's numbers. Overall Anderson has been more consistent and has more tackles. Really tough call.
10.) DL - Trent Cole - Everyone and their mother said Babin, but Babin either has a monster game or is non-existent (last week he didn't even record a single tackle). Cole seems to be much more consistent and normally gets at least 4 to 5 tackles. Still a tough call. I think Cole will be matched up against an Undrafted Free Agent at LT Willie Smith, so that match up has to favor him. Not sure who the RT is though.
11.) CB - D'Angelo Hall -Eagles pass the ball a lot. He will get a lot of tackles.
12.) S - Roman Harper - Hope he makes Newton look like a rookie.
13.) D/ST - New York Jets - I just think with the playoffs on the line they come down and shut us down. I see a low scoring game that could go either way.
14.) K - Stephen Gostkowski - Wish all the decisions were this easy lol.

    What do you guys think?

And my biggest question is what do you think I should do with my Offensive Player position? I am weary of picking up Flynn in case he doesn't put up good numbers or doesn't play that long, etc. I think ultimately I might scratch Bush or Turner and put Bell at HB, move Malcom Floyd to HB/WB and put Roethlisburger at OP and then just let it ride. Sure is tricky lol.

My biggest question is at qb for my championship. I have Aaron Rodgers and Matt Stafford. I was pretty set on pulling Rodgers for Stafford but I really don't know..

Play Stafford without a doubt. Rodgers isn't playing the whole game because they clinched home field advantage, the Lions could still gain something by winning (I believe).

rotoworld says aaron rodgers may not even start that game making Matt Flynn a possibility at Offensive Player Flex.

Also Vincent Jackson looks like a go so you may not want to go Malcolm Flloyd.

Dang losing Bush hurts... I can't pick up Daniel Thomas, because someone else has him buried on their bench.

I just picked up Matt Flynn, but its annoying because Green Bay hasn't made their plans public. Some reports are Flynn may start the game, and I have also read other reports saying their Third String QB will see time too. Just really confusing. I could see them trying to elevate Flynn's trade value by playing him a lot, but that remains to be seen.

Oh also I decided to take your guys opinion and am probably going to put Jason Babin in at DL instead of Trent Cole.

Here is what I am going to go with as of right now:

1.) QB - Drew Brees - Locked in. I am going to start him.
2.) RB - Michael Turner - limited participant in Thursday's practice. Not sure if Atlanta rests its starters if Detroit beats Green Bay earlier on in the day.
3.) RB - Kahlil Bell - Locked in.
4.) RB/WR - Malcom Floyd- I still am not sold on him, especially with Vincent Jackson coming back. My other options here are Evan Royster, Jonathan Stewart, Denarius Moore, Demaryius Thomas, James Jones, and Torrey Smith. Really don't know what to do here.
8.) OP - Ben Roethlisburger or Matt Flynn - Hardest decision yet. Roethlisburger will play Sunday, but no one knows how long. Matt Flynn also should play Sunday, but no one knows how long. I am now contemplating starting one of the players I mentioned in the HB/WR role here instead of these QBs that no one knows how long they will play.

My biggest question is between the two starting roles of HB/WR and OP which of the following players should I start:

Malcom Floyd - Has gotten 16 points the last 2 weeks and is really clicking with Rivers. Vincent Jackson could steal some touches now that he is back. Plays Oakland.
Evan Royster - Played really well last week, Helu could steal some carries this weak.. Facing a stingy Eagles run D.
Matt Flynn - Supposedly playing vs weak Lions secondary, but how long?
Ben Roethlisberger - He is playing vs a tough Browns defense, but how long?
Jonathan Stewart - Faces New Orleans. Could lose carries if they go down in the game early. Newton and Williams could steal some of his stats.
Denarius Moore - Rookie, inconsistant. Balled out last week and last time he played the Chargers.
Demaryius Thomas - Plays the Chiefs, he lives and dies off of Tebow.
James Jones - Really inconsistent, playing bad Lions secondary. Has lots of competition for balls, but could see the field for a long time due to the Packers resting some players.
Torrey Smith - Anquan Boldin is out will be Ravens number 1 WR versus Cincinnati.

Id say Torrey smith is your safest play but anyone who has ever had a raven wr on their fantasy squad knows safe and raven never go together. That said I think hes the safest play available. Option two for me would be Stewart.

The darkhorse option would be Lesean McCoys replacement since hes questionable sunday

So you think I should just put Torrey Smith in at the HB/WR role and then put Jonathan Stewart in at the OP role? I really might consider that... It might be better than messing with all this QB bs.
