Love me some JT! One of the best players to wear our uniform and I hope him the best in the future. That was an awesome moment for him and the team
Thats my favorite defensive player for the Dolphins from this era. Hurt me when he went to the Jets even if it was his only choice aside from retiring.
Love it! Couldn't ask for a better ending today, especially against that team. Thank you JT, it was a pleasure!
Yeah it sucked when he went to the Jets but at least he got to go out the right way and where his heart was all along. I'm going to miss seeing him make a rag-doll of Brady.
My favorite play was when he took the ball right off of the Bengals' qb's hands and ran it in for a touchdown.
If it was not for the new stupid rule that every scoring play is reviewed JT would of had a special moment. Even though it was called back, im glad he had that moment with his team
I don't know why he's retiring, he played well this year in spurts, pretty average in others, but for a flexible backup, I'd take him in a reserved role in a heartbeat, he got like 8 sacks?, play til they have to cut ya JT. anyways..Good luck in the life man.. I just want him to continue to associate himself with Miami, stay involved with our franchise, and start recruiting..
He rather leave on his own then be forced out I would assume, and leave while you are still healthy and spend more time with his family.
I just love this picture. What other defensive player do you ever remember seeing being carried off the field by his fellow teammates. Just awesome!
I wonder if he'll ever get interested in coaching? It would be cool if he could pass along some of his knowledge to younger players.
I was at that game. Was great. We were getting our butts kicked. M Lewis deciding to not run out the clock at the half led to that play, we scored like 28 or 35 straight points because of JT changing the momentum on that one play.
Zach was still my favorite of the two, and of that era as I felt he did more with less physical attributes, and was feircy loyal to the franchise. Having said that, you can't deny the impact Taylor had in his prime. He was definitely a dominant player on the defensive side of the ball for years. On aside, I thought it was very cool that he was allowed to line up in the backfield for the final play.
I really loathe Bill Parcells for picking the fight with Jason Taylor that led to him not being a career Dolphin. I'm so glad he got to finish out his career with this team, and I hope his hoped for acting career or whatever else pans out.
