Apparently, this comes from Redskins territory where they're so surprised to not be in the hunt for a coach yet again that they have turned their attention to the rest of the league.
Remains to be seen, I'd think over the last 3 seasons we'd rank behind KC in W/L's, and they are getting a ton of talent back on line with Berry and Moaeki.
The Rams and Chiefs are also both in WAY softer divisions. Competing with the Pats every year is quite a daunting task.
Not really. The Patriots are a juggarnaut now.....but for how long? Brady is heading towards the twilight of his career, the Jets are in salary cap, and personell hell, the bills suck......the AFC East soon enough won't be the "big dog" it has been due to the patriots. Brady is in his mid 30s. The drop off will happen fast. Also, if a coach doesnt want to come here because "the wittle division has him scared out of his tiny wittle cowboy boots" then he isnt wanted here anyways. Because that would mean he's a coward.
''Terrible sports town''.. That will not change as long as we are in that stadium.. From a football perspective we are absolutely the bast oppurtunity.
Not so sure Brady will give it up in 3 yrs unless his OL somehow quits playing for him. He seems to hardly ever get hit and is one of the most accurate passers ever. I could see him playing till, at least, 40 if he wanted to. He still seems to have that fire in him to win. I hate it, but why WOULD he give it up?
No, it'll change once the team starts winning. EVERY town (with the exception of St. Louis) is a terrible sports town when the teams aren't doing well, including New York, Boston, LA; everywhere. It always pisses me off when I hear someone say that. Would a "Good Sports Town" be one that supports a ****ty team? Yeah, let's sell out every single game with a horrible team. We can be just like the Cubs! /hangs self
