If accurate, another kick in the teeth.

No clue where we go now

'The belief, according to NFP sources, is that Fisher will take the Rams job, in part because he would be able to have a say in the hiring of a general manager and a potential franchise quarterback is already in place with Sam Bradford.

The Dolphins and owner Stephen Ross might offer more money, but there is also a hierarchy with GM Jeff Ireland and potentially the influence and/or hiring of Carl Peterson in place in Miami. The Dolphins also have a bigger question mark at quarterback with Matt Moore still somewhat unproven after taking over in midseason this year.'

    http://www.nationalfootballpost.com/Fisher-decision-expected-next-week.html

    NFP basically reporting the same.

I was thinking a kick a little further down. Fvck it. Let them hire Philbin and we can have more of the greatness of the past 5 seasons. Oh but he'll be able to get the next All Pro QB, Matt Flynn, to sign with Miami, for the same great deal that Kolb got from Arizona.

Honestly, I would immediately fire Ireland, call Cowher and offer him $12 mill a year. He can hire the GM and structure the organization however he wants

I hope this is not true.

    But if it is....

Remember when we could get any coach we wanted? Remember when we weren't losing the coach of our choosing to St. ****ing Louis? A team completely devoid of talent in a ****hole of a city. Just great.

LOL! We have fallen so far. Man, this franchise was a jewel in the NFL. Now we lose coaching candidates to....St. Louis?

I can understand ..Coughlin getting canned..or Norv Turner getting canned and Fisher saying .."Hey..I can win a super bowl right away..."

    But...St. Louis?

Why is this any more credible than ESPN in Miami reporting (Sid) that Fisher will sign with the Fins?

You know, I sort of expected this to happen, and I have a feeling it's because guys like Fisher, and Cowher or Gruden for that matter, don't like the front office structure in place in Miami i.e. having Jeff Ireland as GM.

I could have seen losing out to the Chargers or the Colts but the Rams?! This is pretty embarrassing. He would rather stake the rest of his career to Sam Bradford and a franchise with all of ten ****ing wins in the past three seasons rather than come to Miami?

Is this really surprising though? Maybe our second choice will turn us down to go coach the Jags now.

Yep, now who will it be?

Objectively, and this may be painful, but we are not a highliy viewed franchise, we are swimming in the Buffalo/Cinci/JVile end of the pool.

Not due to talent mind you.

Do people really hate Jeff Ireland that much? I'm having a hard time wrapping my head around this one. We are a team that could be competitive soon, an attractive destination, a generous owner.. I just don't get this.

Maybe its time to just let Bowles have his shot, or get Brian Billick on the phone. This needs to end within the next two weeks honestly or it just becomes a ****ing nightmare from a PR standpoint.

    worth repeating:

I hope Fisher is going to St. Louis. **** him. He's going to wait several days to make up his mind? **** him and the horse he rode in on. Who made him coaching royalty? I want a coach that WANTS to COACH OUR TEAM and not go somewhere else to be interviewed and then take another 4 days to think about it! Hey Jeff, we wanted Cowher first! Then Gruden. YOUR THIRD ON OUR ****ING LIST! NOT FIRST!

I can't believe this is all because of Jeff Ireland. If Ireland is preventing top coaches and first choices from coming here he would be fired immediately. Ross isn't dumb.

Maybe the guy has bad breath, or scratches his a$s right in front of people or something - but whatever it is, something is going on within the organization the people do not seem to like.

That's actually a tough choice. I'd be pretty damn interested in coaching one of those teams. We may not win many games though, I'll mostly be focused on some 'other' asspects of the game.

Just sayin'.......start rolling the barrel and see what goes to the top. It may not be pretty, but what you got?

Hell call Greg Williams and say here, have at it for all I care. Just go get someone you think is competent and be done with it.

I'm trying to nail down the exact moment we became a punchline. Those Rams, they win two games every season, now that's an attractive destination. Maybe Jeff Fisher loves country music and wants easy trips to Branson.

+1000 Finally, someone with their sanity intact. If Fisher doesn't want this gig than he can go play with himself!! I can't wait to play the Rams and shove it up his butt! The Fins have wayyyy more history than the Rams. I really hope this team comes together next yr and is motivated to kick some butt!!!
