So unless Fisher leaves money on the table, this leads me to believe he'll be heading to Miami.
Some are gonna love it, some are gonna hate.
    Should be fun.

Unless they mean his visit tomorrow. Have heard he was going to visit STL facility tomorrow. At this point who really knows.

Just wait til florio says this is part of the leverage game that only he thought of. Because no one in the history of man has leveraged anything. Not like there's a prime time network show with that title

Just outta curiosity, who do you prefer between Fisher, Philbin and Mularkey and Toub. (I think these are the only 4 who have either been interviewed or a scheduled to be, unless I'm forgeting someone.)

I do in the sense that he is the biggest fish in the small pond atm, it would be nice to see our front office pull it off.

However, as coach, I'd be fine with Dave Toub or Todd Bowles.

The first meeting was before the Rams Rooney Ruled. Technically, they could not negotiate.

"If" he was duck hunting this weekend "in the midwest" and he tours the rams facilities tomorrow, it would make it hard to show up at a presser on mon-tues signed sealed and ready to go.

Have to wonder if duck hunting is a euphemism.

Do not think so. Remember, Fisher coached the Titans and they are in the Nashville area which is not too too far from Missouri. Great duck hunting down in S Missouri where it goes in between Ark and Tenn. Been there many times. For that fact, St.Louis is not even that far from Nashville. About 45 min flight.

As much as it pains me to say... if Jeff Fisher announces he has picked Miami, I will be shocked. The Rams are going to get one of the top 5 coaches in the league. Well, congrats to them. I suppose the Phins will just wind up hiring yet another unproven coordinator. Maybe we get lucky this time and he turns out average.

No coach. No QB. I have no faith in this owner or this GM. Fisher will very likely take (much?) less money to coach in the armpit of a city that is St Louis for, possibly, the worst team of the last 5 years. I am dumbfounded, disappointed, and losing my patience with this sad-sack laughingstock of a football team.

Howard Balzer is the Rams official sideline reporter. Tony Softli was fired as the VP of their player personal a few years ago and got a gig with ESPN in St. Louis. The team does not associate with him at all and the fans think he is a joke. He cannot find work back in the NFL anywhere. St. Louis is a piss poor town for football media and Sofli is considered and " insider " because he was with the Rams FO once. Problem is, he is not nor ever was, permitted in Rams Park since he was fired and certainly is not permitted on the sideline. As I said, you are thinking of Howard Balzer.

Kroenke, owner of the Rams has a plan. He is a sports nut. He owns the Rams, the Denver Nuggets, the Denver Avalanche, the Pepsi center in DENVER. He owns one of the Premier soccer league teams in England. His family , sons, are all involved in the above teams. He owned 40% of the Rams since they moved to St. Louis, he just took full ownership this year. He could care less about nightclubs in his stadiium. He did not interview Fisher with a clown GM and another guy that is not even part of the team, Peterson and who claims he is not part of the team. Ross better get his head out of his asssss and realize this is not the regular real estate or development business he is used to. In those areas bullshiiit is the norm.

Ross most certainly is a Billionaire and yes he does own the Dolphins but in no way shape or form is the guys a sports magnate nor does ne understand and apparently care, how it all works. Kroenke stayed quiet and when the time was right, fired his coach and looked for another one.

On the other end of the Spectrum, Ross turned his coaching search into a traveling Ringling bros show and then tried to deny it. Retread coaches and retread Assistants, thats all Ross will get as long as he keeps the clown nose on. The team, area or fans have no control over that. Not one respectable coach or sought after assistant has any respect for this teams owner. Can't say I blame them either.

It is unbelievable that some individuals on here actually want Bowles as the Dolphins next head coach. The secondary, which is the unit he has coached for the last four years has been one of the most inconsistent units on the entire team during this period.

To me Bowles was never a serious candidate for the job. He was merely interviewed to comply with the leagues, Rooney Rule. It is time the Dolphins clean out the entire coaching staff that led this team to a 6-10 record this past season. Bowles may be a nice guy, but I have absolutely no interest in seeing him as the next HC of the Dolphins.

If Ross doesn't hire Fisher, I would prefer that he hire Jay Gruden or Rob Chudzinski as the next HC of the Dolphins. None of the coaches he has interviewed so far, except for Fisher, makes me want to go out and buy season tickets again next year. I think Gruden or Chudzinski would make better head coaches than any of the other coaches Ross has interviewed or is said to be interested in interviewing.

We have a Qb, young one at that, for me I'll stay optimsitic simply because it costs me nothing and to say the reports are mulded is an understatement, Softi may or may not be a putz but Mike Silver for whatever reason is dialed in on this and says it is 50-50.

This Head Coach search is becoming stressful to me, to many different reports and opinions, the only thing that I really want is having the ability to get in the first round Justin Blackmon and Weeden in the second.

What he said (with the exception of Fisher). Having watched Jay grow from qb to arena OC to head coach here in Orlando, I can tell you this guy can flat out coach. He knows how to surround himself with the right people to win, and how to handle players. The guy is gonna be a Damn good NFL head coach somewhere and I hopes its in Miami.

Of course he will, and Bradford will be al yes Sir no Sir stuff and tell him how excited he'd be to play for him blah blah blah.

Which does tell me Fisher really has to be convinced to sign with the Rams.

Maybe the convo went something like this:

Fisher: I like it here. Will I have the ability to hire the GM and have some personnel say?
Ross: No we already have Jeff Ireland.
Fisher: OK. Thanks for the stone crabs. Gotta head to St. Louis.

I can certainly understand why Fisher would prefer the Rams over the Dolphins. First of all he won't have to deal with Ireland. Next, Bradford is a far superior QB going forward, compared to Moore. The Rams had a lot of injuries this season, but were nearly a playoff team in 2010. With the second pick in the draft, they will be able to pick up a lot of additional draft picks if they decide to trade this pick to a team who wants to select RG3.

It would not surprise me in the least to see the Rams in the playoffs next season, if Fisher takes the job.
