The Jimmy Johnson defensive foundation went out the door with Dave Wannstedt. Nick Saban overturned everything. Meanwhile, Johnson came nowhere close to establishing an offensive foundation.

Eh. I don't think it's a terrible hire nor do I think it's an inspired one. I'd call it a time will tell hire if true.

I doubt it. Johnson was done by the time he got to Miami. He already won his Super Bowls and was ready to live the good life.
I don't get the sense Jeff Fisher is done.

If you think about it, Wanny won more games with JJ's players then JJ did with them, with Johnson we were a .500 team, sometimes 10-6, with Wanny 11 wins was more the norm.

You know Wanny couldn't draft for crap, we had RW for 2 yrs, that was JJ's talent that won those games.

Isn't this the same site that announced Pujols to the Marlins was a done deal ? I know Armando Salguero posts there.

That is definitely one of the things that makes this less believable: Is Fisher willing to except a job where he doesn't have "absolute" power over one where he'd be completely in control. Pretty difficult to believe, but there is that allure of the sunshine in Miami (not to mention no state taxes. HA HA) But whatever. I'll have to see it to believe it. And though I may be in the minority on this board, color me uninspired.

I believe it....mostly because I think he is on his way anyways.

Maybe he doesn't care that much about absolute power, only about a GM who he can work with.

    I don't think that's really Armando.

It looks like an RSS bot that they've named Armando Salguero.

    Clever.

I have serious doubts as to whether this is true. However, if this is true, Ross will have re-earned my respect, and we will likely be set at head coach for the next 15-20 years. Bold prediction? Yep... and I'll stick to it.

Schefter has made a 180 as well. Believes Fisher is leaning toward Phins.

No link, he said it on NFL Live.

So what? That doesn't mean he's worth paying attention to. What insight does he offer? Which stories has he broken? How many internal team sources does he have?

I think it's pretty telling that Jeff Darlington now has a national gig while Omar Kelly is still whining about quarterbacks on Twitter.

Honestly the main reason I want it to be true (besides having a coach finally) is all the reports saying "He's going to St. Louis!" Which were based off of assumptions originally. Would certainly make me laugh. I just hope Ross didn't beg him or something.
