I'm all for Toub, do something different for a change. Either that or this guy Moss that seems to have gotten a good PR man with Salguero

Hey if we hire Dave Toub at least we'll have the best special teams unit in the league! O wait maybe not because we don't have Devin Hester. shoot!

Comments like this and finding the next Don Shula don't help Ross's cause any.

As a wildly successful billionaire, Ross should know better than to speak publicly regarding things he knows nothing about.
    Like anything related to football.

Perhaps you forgot who the Dolphins have selecting players in the draft and in free agency. Ireland has been far from stellar in his first four years as the Dolphins GM. So I have no idea why you would expect him to be anymore then the below average GM he has been during this period. Ireland wouldn't know stellar if it hit him in the face.

At this point maybe we'll get one of Venus or Serena's tennis coaches if we're lucky.

I don't understand what is wrong with those comments. He said he wants a Hall of Fame coach, what is so wrong with saying that?

Absolutely nothing is wrong with Ross making this statement. Unfortunately I have no faith in his ability to hire such a candidate. I think that it is much more likely that he will hire a coach who will be a Hall of Shame coach, and not even close to a Hall of Fame coach. The fact that he actually thinks Ireland is qualified to be an NFL GM shows how inept he is in determining the best candidates to run or coach the team he owns.

I have been saying all along that the problem with the Dolphins is Ireland. I now realize that I have been wrong. The problem with the Dolphins is most definitely the owner of Dolphins. I hope I wake up in the morning to find that Ross has put the team up for sale. That is the only chance this organization has of success in the foreseeable future.
