Hello, JMo but I have none confidence in Ross, our owner is a liar, he tell us He want an hot named coach and now, he want a younger coach without HC experience..........in reality all target tell no to him one after one after one and we will pick his latest choice only by defaut. I 'am very afraid on the direction our beloved dolphins are taking now ! Opinions ?
Fisher is not available anymore, that is the only "hot" named coach that was out here. I don't know how he is a liar since he actually went after the biggest named coach out there and has asked Cowher and Gruden multiple times to coach his football team which they have declined. Also, keep up your work on learning English, I can't imagine how hard it is for you to learn it but It'll get easier as it goes so keep it up!
sorry for my english guy but I'am a french dolfan, and for Ross, Ok with you on fisher not available now and before to tested cowher or gruden water but before he hire a young coach if he want realy experienced coach, he could call cowher again and if he understand nobody want Ireland give all power to cowher, if he isn't agree (I mean cowher) Ok move on and call brian billick, steve Marriucci........they have all experience. If by default he go with a young coach.............so my choice is big risk big reward........;;;why not Mike Shula with the better young coordinator possible on Offense and Defense and take the risk to built a dynatie.........what we have to loose with this solution ?
hire Billick He's the best coach out there and better then Fisher or call cowher or gruden with a boat full of money. lol the ram's we can't beat the ram's out were is my bag for my head next year
I don't believe that money is the issue with any of these coaches. The one thing that would prevent these coaches coming to Miami is the same thing which prevented Fisher from taking the job. Ross is not willing to get rid of Ireland or reduce Ireland's role as the teams GM. Fisher was not willing to accept that he would have no say so over player personnel decisions and there is no way Cowher or Gruden would come here with Ireland as their boss. Billick might accept the job only because he is desperate to become a HC again and it appears no team in the NFL has any interest in hiring him for a head coaching position. Of course so far Ross has shown no real interest in Billick either. My prediction is that Ross and Ireland will hire an assistant coach who has no head coaching experience in the NFL and this new HC will turn out to be another Sparano or Cam Cameron, and the Dolphins will be conducting another search for a new HC within three years. Ross and Ireland are the real problems with this team and since one is the owner and the other one is the favorite of the owner, I don't see things getting any better for this organization until they both are gone. I see the next decade being a repeat of the past decade for Dolphin fans.
Yup, it's a sad state of affairs in Phinsland but here's my prediction. We won't have to worry about suffering another decade b/c IMO once ross goes through this season with the biggest fan revolt in franchise history, the wheels will be set in motion to sell the team.
what good is open dialogue if you choose to play the naivety card? ross is synonymous with flash. He reached out to cowher & gruden even before courting fisher. oh, but you want proof of that as well right?
and he did the right thing by doing so, those inquiries do not deserve negative perceptions attached to them.
The only thing that I am aware of him saying is that he would like to hire a young Don Shula type. Being from France you might not know how the media works here. A lot of what gets reported as fact is just speculation. If the article uses the term "sources say" or any other reference to unnamed “sources” you should view whatever the article says with suspicion. It’s a cheap way to publish pure speculation or out right lies.
No offense to the original poster. I wish we could restrict who starts threads. the melodrama is getting crazy
try to read past the words. If you're going to start a thread, try to be on the reasonable side. Chicken little threads are getting extremely tiresome.
This is an interesting article from Jason Cole as to why the real reason for Fisher signing with the Rams and not the Dolphins was because of Jeff Ireland. http://sports.yahoo.com/nfl/news?slug=jc-cole_dolphins_stephen_ross_jeff_fisher_01312 This is the reason the Dolphins will have to sign a young coach who will not miss having any say over player acquisition's or personnel.
