Just heard on the Finsiders radio show. finsjesse Jesse Agler https://twitter.com/#!/finsjesse/status/159401370833784832
I would definitely be a happy camper with that...Does anyone else think Philbin looks kind of like a dinosaur?
I kind of think he resembles Larry Coker. I just hope he ends up being a better long term coach than Coker was at UM.
He kind of looks like Al Bundy, who I would LOVE to coach the Dolphins. He scored 5 touchdowns in one game.
I am in the minority but I am glad he is out of the running .I think we are looking for an offensive minded HC .I prefer Philbin ,Carmichael or Clements to Mc Coy.
Philbin is just wreaking of the limp CamRam disaster. offensive/defensive minded head coaches dont always equate to the teams production regarding those units. Plus this offensive guru lost our stud D coordinator. I gotta be honest, I'd settle for some Marty ball and let's call it a day.
I'll be happy when half the thread isn't about what someone looks like. I guess I'd prefer McCoy to Philbin but can't pretend to know as much about either as I'd like. Interesting that Zimmer Goes from perceived front runner to dismissed.
You should only be worried if someone doesn't want Philbin to be head coach only because he's ugly, it's all just playful banter. Nothing to get serious about.
ZIMMER TOO BLUNT? The Dolphins liked Zimmer’s résumé, and he and general manager Jeff Ireland have a good relationship. But one source said he might have been too blunt and honest for the Dolphins’ liking. Zimmer can be outspoken at times, including calling former Falcons coach Bobby Petrino a “gutless b--tard” for leaving the job without telling any of his assistants. I know what you mean. A few days ago I read that Brian Schottenheimar was hired as the Rams OC and today I read Hue Jackson is being interviewed tomorrow. Apparently web hits are much more valuable than integrity for journalists these days. The most amusing part of it all for me is how many posters use these erroneous posts to prove a point.
"Too blunt and honest." I also wonder if he was also "too hip hop" or maybe "punk rock" this time. We do things behind people's backs in Dolphin land!
Harbaugh was never seriously considering us in the first place, he wanted to stay in California with his family and definitely made the right choice on which team to choose(for him anyways)
We back to the point of experimentation once again, hoping for the best with some "prospect" coach. I smell failure smacking us from all four corners again. I hope not, but I got a bad feeling.
Same rough age bracket, same demeanor, given more credit for the teams offense then deserved. None of the final 3 impress me in the slightest. Just another set of guys ready to be fired in under 3 years.
I could care less what the coach looks like also, but the Fins must look pretty ugly to some of the top prospective coaches!Does anyone want to coach this team?
??? Aw hell, we might as well say that Ross and Ireland have failed to land Knoll, Landry, Lombardi and Walsh since they aren't on the team. They also haven't been able to lure Billcheck, Payton, Reid or Tomlin away from those teams. And for that matter they haven't signed Shula, Gibbs or Madden. These bastards have ruined the Dolphins and are failures. I'm sure they want any of these coaches and have failed to land them. Losers.
