Yeah Shefter just tweeted it... hopefully this goes better than the last WCO guy that was a OC in a succesful offense where he didnt call the plays (Brad Childress)
Hope he can make or offense look half as good as Green Bay...with our defense and a better offense we could contend.
His facial expressions remind me of Cam Cameron.. I hope this deal included Flynn if we can't trade up for RG3
CamCameron 2.0 In other great team news, Snooki and The Situation have been named as minority owners and the team is moving to Dubai.
Funny thing, apparently Ross wanted Philbin and Ireland wanted McCoy...so Ross won out. Not a very exciting coaching search, and I know McCarthy and Rodgers called the plays in Green Bay...but I'll reserve judgment and hope this isn't another Cam Cameron.
While none of the three choices set my toes tingling, I would have to agree that Philbin was certainly my selection over the other two candidates. Hopefully he will bring the Green Bay offense, along with Flynn to the Dolphins.
I wonder if the team made more enemies today if they backtracked on McCoy after leading him on that he had the job.. Let's pray this doesn't turn in to another media circus...
I was more excited to get McCoy but glad this circus is over. Sure hope this isn't another bad decision by Ross and hope we can get rolling next season
Anybody else think it's time for Jeff Ireland to go???? The man is like that turd that won't go down the commode no matter how many times you flush.
Bowles for DC, hopefully a lil continuity would help. Time for Daboll to start packing his bags even though I thought he did a really good job this year.
Ross is learning about the NFL and how to build a successful offense.. When he meant a young Shula, he was talking about himself and will now appoint himself OC.
Well hope Clements is coming with him... and I really dont know what to hope with the D, except not excited if any of Dom Capers' minions end up running it.
Great Choice, now we start a new era for dolphin football. Only hope that Ross and "Ireland" allow him to pick his own staff. Then let the changes begin........
Yeah, if Philbin wants to stake his coaching job on Flynn, or is comfortable doing so I should say, then I feel better about the odds of it working out for us. Othewise we get Moore learning a new offense (along with the rest of the offense) and lack the advantage of having Flynn in here to help teach it. Cautiously optimistic, and if Philbin is the second coming of Cam Cameron? Well, we get the first pick in the 2013 draft, right?
In this is true..... Then we are finally seeing that our owner is showing that he IS in control and maybe, just maybe, this is a sign that he is done with Irelands games.
