I don't want to be KC with Montana. We just got over the last vestiges of the JJ era. Seeing Peyton would make me flashback to when he was in the AFC East.

I don't think the Jest have the cap space. The amount of salary they would have to purge would no longer make them a contender. And that's IF you buy that they are a real contender as the stand now.

Let the talk begin...considering we're just a month and a half away from him being owed a $28 million bonus or being cut or agreeing to push it back a bit, I assume it will get louder after the super bowl.

Chris Mortenson @mortreport Matt Flynn to #Dolphins? Sources say Dolphins will monitor health & availability of Peyton Manning above any other QB, #staytuned

Adam Schefter @AdamSchefter Add the Arizona Cardinals to mix of teams that includes Dolphins, Jets and Redskins expected to be interested in Colts QB Peyton Manning.

Ross wants a star, and if he's healthy, they will try to get him, and maybe draft someone like Tannehill.

As much as I would like a Manning/Tannehill or Osweiler combo, I still say Manning wearing a Dolphins jersey is a pipe dream.

Imo the obvious spot for Peyton Manning is retirement.

You LOST me at Peyton Manning.

Apparently, some did not learn anything from Chad Pennington.

For a year yes, didn't really do much in the long run though.

One solid year was pretty good for somebody that didn't really cost us anything.

Except draft position I guess. Meh, it was kind of fun when it happened, but really 10 years from now who will remember that season?

Draft position? We won the damn division. That means nothing? If it wasn't for us New England would have eight in a row over the AFC East.

    Um..... Hell no.
There is no future with a washed up injury prone QB.

For the future of the team? Not really. Like I said, I enjoyed it while it happened, I cheered the wins, rode the wave - coming off a 1-15 season it was fun, but ultimately we couldn't sustain it and have little to show for it. A moral victory in a year Brady was hurt.

On-topic though, my desire for Peyton would depend on the price. I wouldn't pay much for a QB with that kind of neck issue. No matter what is said publicly, he will not be the same guy. One awkward hit and he is done. We saw it with Penny, I wouldn't be shocked if it happened with Manning.

That assumes he comes back and is available, and as noted I see a good chance he hangs em up. I would much rather get Flynn, or trade for RG3.

If Peyton comes back healthy, you take him and be thankful. With a healthy Peyton a 2 win team can compete for a SB, imagine what he could do with us.

I'm still pissed they're not investigating Irsay. They won the division last year, and went to the Super Bowl 2 years ago. No way they were truly this bad. They tanked it man. Pluck that #1.

Not only do we get his skills, but his intelligence and intangibles. We would have a leader we haven't had since 1999-2000.

Seriously, with a HEALTHY Manning, we're competing for the Superbowl next year, and the year after that, and the year after that.

As no brain as any no brainer there ever was!

Damn right you get Manning if he's healthy!! We would be a SB contender for the next 3 yrs. You hedge your bets and draft a QB during his tenure.

He was solid until he was hurt AGAIN. He played ONE GAME and was gone............that is a REAL possibility to be repeated with Manning. THEN.......where would we be? In CAP H E double hockey sticks, THATS where.

    the poor house
so lets just bring back Randy McMichael , Wes Welker and grab Peyton Manning then add Levy Adecock ot and Markell Brown then add another runningback.

Remember what Billy Rosewood once said " you can never have too much firepower"

think about how cool it would be to have Welker , RMAC, Peyton , Marshall , Bush , Fasano and Clay that group alone could get us to the big dance.
