Welkers catch was game over, but not an easy catch, but should have been. Hernandez was not as big but he gets that there is a small chance he gets free but also Brady is in descent position. A lot better then he was

Who cares? I mean I'm as happy as anyone that the Patriots lost, but this is ridiculous.. And Welker is a stand up guy that gives 200% all the time.. I don't understand the hatred towards him.. Being excited to join a winning organization with one of the greatest QB's of all time after his stint in Miami was not the cardinal offense many of you hold against him

XX Sports Radio in San Diego just said that Patriots players were refusing to shake hands with the Giants after the loss.

Poor sportmanship, considering their coach who refused to come out for an interview right after the game as they are supposed to and made them wait till tv national tv coverage was over boo fliping burgers hooo... im not surprised.

The Patriots are not a CLASS team, there arrogant and lucky to have been in that position given their defensive woes throughout the year. Brady is a great QB and Bellichip on his sohoulder is a great coach last night they just got out matched. How about saying congrats to their new masters :)

I have seen him referred to lately as an ungrateful midget. He may be taller than your average little person, but ungrateful to the team that gave him his opportunity to break into the NFL he definitely is.

How exactly do you come to this conclusion? A wife is merely expressing her thoughts in defense of her husband. While I am sure Brady would rather his wife had said nothing. This comment by his wife certainly doesn't mean things are coming unglued in Foxboro. All it means is that Brady's wife doesn't do a very good job of handling a Patriots loss in the Super Bowl.

I think that Brady defending Welker after the game, says a lot more about the state of the Patriots football team than the meaningless comments of his wife.

She's right. Welker catches that pass with 4 minutes to go, Pats win. Not to mention, the Giants fumbled 3 different times and were able to recover all of them. Honestly, the Giants were very fortunate to win this game.

At the same time, Evans makes ab easier catch then welker, Patriots are not even in that position.

Brady was off his game too as several of his passes were behind his receivers or off the mark.
Also that he should be caught for a safety in a SB is inexcusable .That record will outlast all of his other SB records :pointlol:

As has been mentioned the Giants brought their lucky stars with them.

Patriots got lucky too. There was two huge PIs against them that was never called which could have changed the whole game, both on 3rd down. Also the td woodhead scored there was holding that never was called

I actually liked the non calls on the PI's. I thought they were good defensive plays by the Pats and would stand by that if they had won.

I also thought the safety call was iffy. By the letter of the law it was the correct one, but I was really surprised they called in since the ball went down the field, in bounds. Usually that is only called if they throw it into the ground or way out of bounds.

All in all, I think this game came down to the execution of the players (or lack thereof) which is what you want, imo. No controversy like the Steelers-Seahawks game, for example.

brady threw a horrible pass to welker a horrible pass to branch which was almost picked off. even if welker catches that ball who is to say it ends the game? giants could have got the ball back down 5 with 2:00 minutes left and who is to say eli couldnt drive for a td against that ****ty defense?

Well him missing that ball made me happy too, but I wouldn't classify it as a drop, although we've seen Welker make tougher catches...it was more of a miss by Brady than a drop...

CAN WE PLEASE STOP TALKING ABOUT Tom Brady being in the top 5 qb's of all time ? ( i mean the media not you guys. ) TOM BRADY IS NOT BETTER Then Dan Marino. i am so sick of the media down playing Marino's success just to put Brady up on a pedestal.

I am so sick of the Patriots, and I love what James Harrison said about them.

there is no way that tom brady is better then Bob Griese let alone Dan Marino . ok rant over

    Heard today that:

    Brady 20 for 24 2 Td's

    After shoulder ding

    7 for 17 1 int

As for Giselle, eh I don't mind a wife being invested in the outcome, do think it was low brow to blame his teammates, ditto the Belicheck stuff, and DMike talking about not shaking hands is about what I've come to expect from that bunch, I also notice the Patsies Defenders were trying to start fights with the Giants offensive players by thugging them up a bit on borderline stuff.

Brady should just pull a Pedro Martinez and say "The Giants are my daddy" and save all of this stuff.

This is awesome! What a ****ty year for her. Rangers blow a 2 run lead with 2 outs in the 9th with two strikes only to come back and score two more runs the next inning to only blow the same lead in the same situation and lose the world series, and now her patriots lost to Elite Manning! Funny thing is, she probably never even seen her team win a super bowl because she most likely be came a pats fan in 07

Not I anyway, it looked like Welker had to to do this sort of spin around and then jump in the air then catch the ball that was that not targeted particularly well, would've been a heck of a catch but to me Brady has to help out a bit there.

Brady made 2 high school rookie mistakes. He committed intentional grounding in the endzone and he threw a incomprehensible floater which was begging to get picked. IMO, the loss rests on his shoulders. Anyone noticed every time the camera was on him on the sidelines, he was hanging his head? You never saw him studying the defense like a Peyton Manning would. I stand by what I said that Manning is in a class of his own and don't give me the "Brady has more rings" bs because then that would mean Brad Johnson is a better QB than Marino because Johnson has a ring.

Some over-analysis and aqua colored glasses here IMHO.

Brady is two drives away from 5 rings. And now he's somehow overrated? Chi pleea....

Brady is still above Peyton on my list. Still the better big game QB. Made his hay with lesser supporting casts. And played his entire career in Foxboro as opposed to a 72 degree dome.

Peyton's still an all-time great. I just put Brady above him.

As for Gisele, Latin women tend to say things when they're emotional and/or defensive. It happens. Much ado about nothing. This ain't the Jets locker room.

I expect Belichick to arm Brady with Desean Jackson this offseason.

You can't do that. Brady is also 5 drives away from zero rings.

I still have Peyton above Brady, but I do have Brady have pretty high.

Difference being Bro, Welker had this massively tough catch to make outside of the endzone, Welker had a first down picking up play that still had the rest of the team to help pick him up on, BM dropped Scores, Welker dropped a single pass.
