And? The kid is balling....we are Knicks fans, beating bad teams is far far from a given, so the level of competition is moot to us. We know we're not winning anything significant..but we WILL bask in the glory of Lin. He's the lone bright spot no matter how much the "haters" try to cloud it.

    Go Knicks baby

So serious question here....At what point is it not a fluke? I mean as a Knick fan I too keep thinking its going to end but it doesnt and hopefully wont. But at what point do you guys stop and say hes really a find?

Like I said, I see Speedy Claxton all the time. He works in Golden States front office now. At what point can I ask him, what the heck were you guys thinking releasing Jeremy Lin?

Also does anyone else think he was a type cast? Seriously there are not many Asian players in the NBA and the ones that have come in to the NBA have pretty much all been forwards and centers. I really wonder if he was overlooked because of that though i would hate to think so.

I don't know, but it has to be longer than 4 games. The sample size is too small.

I agree with that. But is it 15 games? 20? The rest of the season? I mean keep in mind hes playing a ton of minutes, on a tight schedule on a team without Anthony and STAT so basically limited scoring options around him. Its pretty much he and Chandler carrying the load

It will cease to be a fluke when he does it consistently against all competition. After 20 games or so, we will know what you have with him. SO far so good. When Melo and Amare return is when the carriage will likely turn into a pumpkin. Those two guys will bite into his freedom offensively, and he will have to play without the ball. I think he is a terrible spot up shooter, but a very good rhythm jump shooter (for what I have seen of him so far) No team has set out to trap him on his side pick and roll, and I would like to see how he responds to that.

Can you imagine the uproar in this forum once Lin has a 10 point game? Im sure it will be comical.

Of course I can imagine it. ESPN lost their **** the other day when Lebron had a 17/10/8 game and questioned his "effort".

    Lin will be fine.

There is alot to like. At least, this will give Knick fans some perspective and realize that Baron Davis is just there for a paycheck and now you will actually have a guy that cares running the point for you.

I question Lebrons character and mental toughness not his talent, if he goes out and has a 6 point game do you really think i would come in here and talk bad about his play? No, sh-t like that happens. But if/when he comes up short again in a closing moment I will puff my chest out.

These are the facts of how I feel, if he was a Knick then Im sure I would apologize for him in this areas aswell..so i dont blame you.

Character flaws. What kind of assclown rides his bike to work?

Mental toughness. What kind of mental deficient fails to win at least three championships with such talents as Anthony Parker and Donyell Marshall?

If he was mentally tough he would have asked for a trade from Cleveland. That is what having a killer instinct is all about.

Oh, didn't realize Ric Bucher and Skip Bayless earned their doctorate in psychology.

They are not paid to make psychiatric evaluations, they're paid to drive ratings any way possible. That's the only explanation for why a "paid evaluator" can say they'd rather have Tim Tebow or Mark Sanchez over Aaron Rodgers and not lose their job.

Many people thought Cam Newton was a blithering idiot too.

Bayless is really just heightening his career by riding a trend. Every time he's mentioned, referred to, or cited, he considers that a job well done.

You spent two years telling anyone who would listen that he would go to your Knicks. Lock, done deal, etc.

We know exactly where your opinion comes from.

Im BEGGING you to prove this. I make many comments in passing to amuse myself but never did I assume it was a "lock". And I would LOVE to have had him join my team but I have to wonder how we wouldve handled the NY media with his inability to close. Maybe he wouldve shocked the world and thrived, who knows.

I've proven it so many times it's silly. Each time you just ignore whatever link I give. That one's a particular favorite, BTW.

You hate LeBron because a. he left Ohio b. for a Knicks rival c. rather than the Knicks. You then retroactively invented reasons for this. You weren't wrong about him being destined to go to New York; he just got scared at the last second! Yeah, that's the ticket.

Like I said, you're the last person on this forum who should complain about bias against a player. This goes double given how basically everyone, Knicks fan or not, likes Lin and is interested in seeing him succeed.

Ugh, no Irving again (hopefully back for the Pacers game), but now Varajeo is out indefinitely with a fractured wrist.

Time for the losses to pile up some. Hopefully this means more Tristan Thompson at least. His offensive game definitely needs some work.

If Jameson gets moved, we'll really be in the tank, even though I would be happy to get something for him.

I feel as if I should give a class on how to watch basketball.

The Sports Media has people convinced that certain players are stars, and that others are role players, when it is ***-backwards.

As a rule of thumb, when reading a boxscore..completely ignore how many points a guy scores.

Are you referring to my comment about Jameson? I've watched him plenty, and know he's not good, but the Cavs simply don't have enough scorers. Despite being a pretty mediocre overall most nights, that is one role Jameson can fill from time to time.

The sports media are clueless. All I can do is shake my head everytime they talk about how great a player is because they score points. "Monster game by Monta Ellis scoring 48 points. Who cares that his defensive assignment scored as much as he did? Or that his team lost. Shame on the coaches for not voting this beast of all beasts into the All-Star game."

Name the guy that Anderson Varejao was almost TWICE as productive than last year:

    A) Ray Felton
    B) Josh Smith
    C) Carmelo Anthony
