http://www.tsn.ca/cfl/story/?id=387834 Well, there it is. Looking forward to seeing what he can do talent wise. I hope he comes in rocked up and ready to go.
Maybe KM has a mid term involving making la pron? Think I'll have a Messam/Thigpen sigpic for this offseason.
This guy is (from what I've been able to dig up), kinda slow but kinda shifty. I think with him being as tall as he is, he seems a bit easy to bring down. But we are not talking elite guards opening holes for him either. He might do pretty good in a well structured offense. I think he will need a bruiser full back. Bush might just be enough to draw attention away from him. He needs about 10 more pounds of muscle. And a better attitude. I don't think locker room wise it was a good move. We already have Marshall. We could have a 3 headed beast on the run game. Seems like that's a trend now on some of the most elite teams out there.

Not to get off topic, but figured you'd know better than anyone else, but how did Thigpen do in the CFL? I remember him from his days at IU - certainly one of if not the most talented player on those teams. Is Patrick Cobbs a fair comparison?
Gotcha. I remember him being pretty athletic and playing QB, RB, and WR while with the Hoosiers. Who would you compare him to?
Returns will determine if he makes the team , he has to be the primary returner if has any chance to roster. He is very quick , assertive and has very good return instincts. Not at all like Cobbs , if he plays on offense , he will be utilized in space.
From what little I've been able to learn about Messam, he seems like a solid addition and should alleviate any need for us to take a RB in this draft or even FA. now let's hope he turns out to be a good a pickup as Cameron Wake. My biggest worry about Messam is his off-field issues, but it seems he has turned that around, let's hope so.
To early to tell tbh PR, taller Rb coming from a league not known for running the rock, I think he can do some things but he has to show the staff that he is a running back with agility and power and not a lumbering one who lacks quicks for his size.
