It's not that the Knicks lost, it's that even with 2 max contract players and The Great Sportscenter Hype, they couldn't even really be competitive with the best team in the NBA. The game wasn't nearly as close as the first half score would suggest.

But yet the Knicks fan suddenly thinks his team is good despite three weeks ago finally beginning to realize that it's not, and the Knicks fan is still talking a. playoffs and b. Eastern Conference Finals despite being a .500 or sub-.500 team.

Lastly: the Knicks are the last fanbase in the world that should ever complain about hate. The media absolutely loves the Knicks and refuses to say anything bad about them.

Have you ever been in that arena?

But it is like I said. Everybody that disparages Heat fans, really wants to BE ONE.

No, I figured with a healthy STAT and Melo it would be a bit closer then last time. Im not buying anything as long as this moron is coaching cluelessly and throwing lineups out there that make no sense.

"STAT" had to play versus his owner THE WARDEN. Why you even mention him in the context of a Heat/Knicks matchup boggles my mind.

D'Antoni used his minutes perfectly if you rank MPG per eff. production.

The simple fact of the matter is that JR Smith should never be included in a closing lineup. He should be a second team gunner and nothing else.

The only thing I was pleased with was that Bosh after having an uneven series vs. Chandler in the Finals, straight up took it to him tonight.

As for Lin, it wasn't even fair. RIO and Cole played angry versus him, and played as perfect High P&R defense as they could. The Heat threw traps, and flashed at him all night. Derrick Rose has bad nights versus that defense, why wouldn't Jeremy Lin?

    Just a Tip.

Not that I want to help the Knicks out...but....

Can Baron Davis. MORE Landry Fields. Less Chandler with Amare. Play JR Smith as a focused scorer on a second unit.

Cole gets a ten for the dunk but a zero for the landing lol. Also Id wager that was the first game Cole and Chalmers had dunks in the same game. Knicks pg's were very Lin-mited.

I know Lin was struggling, but Baron Davis is just flat out hard to watch. Agree as well on Fields. Also Boik is right, Antoni had some ridiculous lineups in, and sat a guy who was 4-4 from 3 point range in the first half basically the entire 3rd quarter. Stupid, as Novak was getting wide open looks all game.

    A) Nobody in the past couple weeks have proven to be able to keep it close against the Heat. They've destroyed everyone in their last 8 games. Could it be that the Heat are just firing on all cylinders? and we all knew that when they did they'd be hard to compete with by anyone.

    B) And yes, the Knicks ARE a good team as evidenced by the fact that they are 3-1 against >.500 teams once Lin stepped on the court. Not Great....but definitely Good.

    C) Are we not allowed to talk about the playoffs? Being that if the season ended today they'd be in it? ECF, agreed, may be pushing it. But aside from a post or two it hasn't been brought up that much in this thread

Landry Fields stunk...dude was nowhere to be found. I have no problem with JR...he's playing d and scoring. He's a second unit player but I have no problem with him being on the floor closing a game or half.

Eh I'm cutting baron a little slack. He hasn't played much at all the last nine months. Otherwise yes, not putting on Novak who was not only red hot but you were hurting for scoring was flat out dumb! You stay with the hot hand.

I thought the Miami/NY game went as expected. Lin has obviously been great, but has struggled with TOs and was facing a team that does a good job of creating TOs. NY is a good shooting team and their best chance was to have one of those lights out from 3pt range nights. The Knicks shot well from 3 pt range overall, but more so in the first half. The Heat has a tendency to go cold shooting from outside at times and did early tonight. Those two factors kept the first half close. In the second half Miami pulled away and won by about what they were favored to win by. I thought Miami was dominant in the paint. In a 7 game series I could see NY stealing a game on a night when their shots fell and Miami's didn't, but I don't see anyway NY is a threat to win the series.

I agree. The Heat defense takes away the oppositions PG very well. I feel like NY can make it as far as their draw allows in the playoffs. Obviously the minute they run into Miami in the playoffs its a matter of time until they are ousted. But the 76ers and Bulls are not teams NY matches up badly against or has less talent than. The Knicks are not ready to compete with Miami no one denies that. But playing competitive basketball in the playoffs is enough to consider this season a success imo.

And the way a competent coach counteracts a team like Miami is what Rick Carlisle did and get a second ball handler on the floor. Lin as a SG in college so you slide him to the 2. Get two guys out there that can create for others with melo amare and Novak out there. Creates spacing even if it's weak defensively.

A ton of Knick fans in Standing Room Only, and in the 400 level (third level/corners).

Average ticket price of those seats for the Heat season ticket holders that resold those seats? SRO = $22 400 Level= $32

    The average price those Knick fans paid? SRO= $185 400 Level= $225

I get a perverse pleasure from this.....
