As a die hard gamecock, I would love to see Melvin in Miami. Relentless rusher, speed of a linebacker, and can play multiple positions without be considered a "tweener". (Still DE is his natural fit) I know many mock drafts have him going #7, but some have him in the #10-#12 range. This is my first post on the site so Im not familiar with you guys yet and your prefences. But what would do you think about Melvin? If he's there, should we nab him?

Even as a fellow Gamecock alumni I think 8 is early for Ingram. His arm length, hand use worry me a bit too much to take him at 8. Drop in the 13-17 range and we can talk. Or just fast forward me to the day Jadaveon Clowney comes out and wants to wear aqua and orange! :hi5:

  3. Is he related to Mark Ingram?

No relation. Arm length issue was settle in the combine according to Kipler. I believe he would be a perfect fit into our situation. But Im with you on Clowney! Hell he could step in and play right now

Clowney is a FREAK!! man that would be nice lol but I do love the relentlessness and high motor of Ingram.

Ingram is a good player, but it is unlikely he will fit in Miami. Jeff Ireland is a stickler for size prototypes, and Melvin Ingram is both too short and has too short of arms to fit into that prototype. Same goes for Courtney Upshaw. Miami is far more likely to go for Nick Perry than they are Ingram or Upshaw.

If you could put Ingram in Coples body that would be a sick D-End. I'm in agreement on Clowney....he could play in the NFL right now.

As far as I can tell, it really boils down to whether or not Philbin is sold on Flynn as a franchise QB. If so then all pressure players are in play and Ingram is definitely one of those guys along with Coples, Cox and Upshaw. If not, I’m guessing it's Tannehill.
