well not a bad thought hahaha. No not going to do last min bids. If I make my bids I do it hours in advance. But **** I did need a Longsnapper.
I defend my rules and it means I am defending schisno's strategy? Sheesh... I recommend a strategy of making your minimum bids of players of importance to you at $500K to deflect schisno's "strategy" is and suddenly I am supporting it? Whatever, I guess... I won't be able to change your mind here.
I'll just sign Big E to be my long snapper. He's good at bending over. Hopefully he still lets me crash at his place for the Indy game now....
Seriously you didn't honestly think screwing over teams at the last min and then cutting said player was really going to go over well. Bro some people actually want to have fun with this go take your pro game elsewhere.
Hey I just wanted to improve a slightly flawed system. I offered suggestions which were shot down. Its all about having fun right? Just looking out for other people that share a similar interest. Hell maybe the vote stands in the favor of how it currently is. At least the issue is being talked about. Any ways going to watch some PandR Night all.
I want everyone to consider this, the fact that Boik and Buckeye voted No so far is because they are a bit mad, I can see that. However if you vote for 300K, that means if you just want to take a flier on a guy then you can because only you have the right to cut him but if some jerk comes along and bids 350K then they are stuck with him taking up one of their 53 player roster spot. If you are against my strategy then basically this nulls it because I would never up a guy that I didn't want. Just saying everyone deserves the right to take a flier on the guy until rosters are frozen. Now just be aware, this doesn't prevent me from bidding at the last minute for guys that I am really after or want to extend so it's not going away. Most of the whining is coming from 500K guys that doesn't matter. I think my winning bid on Trent Williams just left some sour grapes for Boik so he had to make some whine. I'm just saying for the min guys 300K prevents anything I would do at a salary of 500K. However my last minute strategy will still occur. That's just a reality.
I don't know what's fully going on, but I do know----[speaking generally] in a "game" that's supposed to be fun and even stress relieving, if any efforts are made to intentionally undermine or negatively affect another person's team or financial state, I'm not for it. That wouldn't be considered strategy by me; I'd consider it bush league TBH. That's crap that people pull on Ebay with alt accounts to help bid up their items.
Schisno frankly I don't care anymore with your last min bids in the past yes it was annoying as **** but now its like whatever because typically your LEGITIMATELY INTERESTED in the player. Sorry I had to bring it up after tonight when you just outright CUT a player you had no interest in but to out bid a GM oh I'm sorry I mean smoke screen IM CREATING A SMOKE SCREEN.
Well however it rolls, I have amnesty on the remaining bids I got. So I will adapt to which way the rules go for when the real FA starts.
All due respect to everyone here, the rules were clear before free agency started, if there was a gripe, it should have been addressed then. As bidding has gone on for days now, I think that is a sign that everyone understood and accepted the rules, until it didn't go their way. If that is the case, then you can't change the rules as you go. If I am way off base here, please tell me, we are all adults here.... Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Well I only ever bid once on an item in ebay, the last bid when it counts. When you I use to collect vintage jerseys from ebay anyways, it's pretty helpful and helped me land 99 cent jerseys. My real beef with ebay are the sellers who give you .99 cent items but then have $30-$40 shipping prices, absurd!
Yeah, I don't ebay no more because of the whole shipping issue. Especially if you win more than one of their auctions then they still want to charge you $30 per jersey instead of combining it and sending it cheap. I've been a shipper so I know what shipping should be, usually they cave in or there's just no deal
Didn't think someone would use this as a means to win a bid only to cut after winning them. Its Bush league. He has no intentions to keep those players. In the past it wasn't an issue because hell if he bids on a guy that had a bid it means he was legitimately interested in that player.
V.O is right....this was one of the signs from the Mayans. Enjoy our final GM league season ever fellas.
Shill bidding is against eBay rules. Really the only way for me to draw the line between whats strategy or not - is whether its within the rules.
it's all good....I deserve crap for letting my bias cloud my on picking up Suh..... Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Anyone bidding on Steve Johnson, if I choose not to match it, the compensation is: -- a 1st if it's #20 and under. -- 1st & 5th if the 1st rounder is between 21-26 -- 1st & 4th if 1st is between 27-32. -- 2nd & 3rd if both picks are in the top 5 of both rounds. -- 2nd & 2nd if the initial 2nd is 38-45.
As for the gripes And for everything else I don't even know what the facts are, I'm just here to hate on crap when these fights break out.
Do we get one chance? Like if I decide to transition Manny Lawson, can someone keep bidding on him if I keep matching? Or is it one and done?
I'm pretty sure they make an offer you either match it or you don't. If you match it the player is yours.
If the team matches it, is the player theirs at the matched price or the dollar amount of the transition tag?
