Sorry... figured we give the teams a day to decided whether they will match any offers that came their way.

Nope. I didn't even want to spend 10+ mil on a player, no matter how good he is. And Webb, I was never even considering when the tender was increased to a first. So, I'm still happy with my 2 draft picks I saved plus my $13mil I save. $57mil to spend in FA. I'm fine.

Hell, the real Raiders spend that much on bad players, there's not much difference for me.

I wanted Webb from the start, I asked Silver like the first day of GML what he planned for him.

So Jets get Foster? Did he offer better compensation or does it go based of salary offered? I'm curious because I never saw this before

Damn and I was looking forward to draft picks Schisno!

I offered better compensation but the real NFL goes by money. Silly aint it? The team would want the better pick. Not Schisno's fault just silly way of doing things

But the player would want the most money when signing said offer sheet. It's a logical process.

    Ah did not know this.
That's why I was confused. I thought it went by compensation. Needed some clarification.

But the team has the right of refusal. So its not really about what the player would want since the player is still technically under the team control. The team may be willing to match salary because they feel pick 32 is not worth it but pick 20 is. The player may not want the lower salary but if its still more then what he was getting then it might be good enough to sway the player. Its not logical at all.

Wait, what? In the real NFL as a RFA, the player chooses what offer sheet to sign. Of course he signs the one that gives him the most money. The team then can choose to match or not. The player isn't going to sign a worse deal just so his team has better comp.

I mean, if 2 teams offer a player a contract, he goes with the higher, and if the team matches it, it's not like he's sad, he's getting that contract, just from his original team? The player who is looking to maximize his earnings will sign the highest value contract because even if it's matched, *he still gets that money*.
