He still needs to take that shot, make or miss.

I would take a wide open Udonis Haslem from the FT line over a pull up jumper from anyone with 2 defenders in their face.

The last thing I want, is to have a star laden team and have one dude try to play hero ball. Kinda defeats the purpose of having three all-stars.

How bout this..like I wrote in my recap....don't get beat up on the boards and give up 23 offensive rebounds? Sometimes you almost WANT to lose a game like that.

(BTW, check the heatfreak.com front page every morning after a Heat game for a game recap)

No, you don't force a shot over a double just to hush some critics. He made the correct basketball play.

    Live from the Internet.
Couldn't watch it. But from everything Ive read, we got destroyed on the glass, spotted them 20 points and then tried making a game out of it. Doesn't work that way, especially not when you get out rebounded like that.
We need Bosh back from the Lakers game.

Yea, he made the correct play. Only the Skip Bayless's of the world wiill criticize him for passing it to an open teammate rather than taking a jump shot while double teamed.

He was pulling up and draining shots in people's face the whole quarter....

He doesn't WANT to take those shots, that's the issue.

Lakers were smart they'd trade picks to Minny for Beasley and Ridnour. Both rotting on the bench and can be had cheap. Minny so deep at point Ridnour is playing SG because Rubio and Barrea.

Not really. He's taken the shot plenty of times. He was double teamed. Haslem was wide open. Blame Haslem, NOT Lebron.

Quite simply, Bosh grandma hadn't died, he'd be in the lineup and hits that wide open shot from the free throw line and nobody is killing LeBron.

Im not blaming him at all. He may have missed that shot. IMO he just needs to take it when he is in that kind of zone.

If he takes the shot all we hear is how he made a bad decision and should have passed it off. He made the right play, it doesn't matter how hot you are that is NOT a good shot to take at the end of a game.

Rondo almost dropped 20/20/20 on the Knicks. Has that ever been done before? Maybe Jason Kidd?

Edit - Wilt it the only one to ever do it.

The Lakers played winning basketball today. They deserve to win for sure. But the Refs are clearly picking on Wade...

Which of those last 4 was a bad call? The kick, the charge, the bump on the out-of-bounds and the block attempt on the wrist of Bynum were all pretty obvious calls (maybe not the kick)

Wade contesting a Bynum alley-oop with 5 fouls was a pretty stupid play to make. As was bumping Kobe with 4 fouls. The two offensive plays were understandable.

They were all fouls clearly....but their also fouls that are normally not called.

They clearly had their eye on Wade.

Lakers are playing well and if healthy with their veterans shouldn't surprise anyone if they win the West.

I fully expected every reply to miss my point.

Wade was clearly fouled three times in a row. Not just fouls but fouls as bad or worse than three of the last five Wade took and the refs turned their heads not wanting to hear it.

Absolutely! That goes for the Utah game as well. Bosh can bring one of their bigs out from under the basket and he is also a solid defender.

Not to mention that LeBron is spending half the game playing post defense instead of free safety.

The refs clearly picked on Wade. There were at least 2 fouls that were not legitimate. Nowhere in this league, is an all-star, let alone a superstar handed a 5th foul on a slight bump, that doesn't even alter a dribble. That's BS, and Wade decided to attack the basket on 4 consecutive trips and got zero calls on obvious fouls. Two of which seemed intentional to stop a score.

Heat can't beat the lakers without Bosh. Bosh owns them and completely nullifies their bigs. It leaves Wade and Bron to play 2 on 1 on Kobe.

Yep Bosh's grandmother's death probably cost the Heat 2 games.

Now back on topic. Jeremy Lin is a very good player..but if he plays against any stiff competition, he seems to get worked pretty good. Rondo was sensational. That was just insane.

  40. Samphin

Good games yesterday. Obviously as a Lakers fan, I was interested to see how the newly involved Lakers team stacks up against the Heat. Kobe came out looking for the kill, which is no surprise. Heat adjusted pretty well after the first quarter, but between Wade falling apart in the fourth quarter (physically and foul trouble) and the Lakers bigs down low, along with Bosh being out, it made for a recipe for the Lakers to win.

World Peace had his best game of the season on both sides of the ball. For the praise LeBron got for his work on Gasol, same should be said for Artest's work on LeBron. Held Lebron to 4-13 shooting with a few turnovers. LeBron went 8-13 against the rest of the Lakers.

Metta needs to continue that sort of play in order for L.A. to do anything in the playoffs. I also think you have to now start to talk about Kobe in the MVP race along with LeBron, and the odds on favorite, Kevin Durant.

Rondo had an insane day, and Deron Williams dropping 56 is quite impressive, even if it IS against the Bobcats. Just a good day of basketball all around, imo.
