How the **** is Kevin Durant the "odds on favorite" to win MVP? It's not like Lebron James is having the best season statistically of all-time or anything....

and how did Wade fall apart "physically"?

I blame Bosh's grandmother for this uppity Laker fan crap.

as time goes on..I am beginning to lose tolerance for any argument that doesn't hand the MVP trophy to LBJ. There comes a time for the least bit of honesty.

I don't consider myself uppity. Uppity would be acting like your team is legendary to the NBA when in reality, they have won a single championship.

My loyalty to the Lakers is well known and documented. I have been pretty fair in my assessment of them and other teams, but whatever. The Heat fans on here are such babies if anyone dares to say anything even remotely negative or that can be construed as such on here. The insecurity just blows my mind. The Heat are good. The odds on favorite to win the entire thing.

Yet mention that Durant is most likely the odds on favorite to win the MVP and the fearful leader on here damn near has a hernia for the "blasphemous" comment. Since it appears to be overlooked, LBJ was mentioned in the very same sentence as being discussed for MVP, but why bother acknowledging that when a good old fashioned bickering can be had, right? Right.

And Wade threw a ****ing hissy fit. Like it or not, but Wade has earned himself (and rightfully so) the reputation of crying like a baby when the refs don't give him everything he demands. He took himself mentally and physically out of the game on Sunday. Cry all you want about him not getting calls and being shafted by the refs, it falls on deaf ears with me. As per my usual line, usually only the losing side complains about the officiating. I have only ever been appalled by officials a handful of times. Inconsistent calls or perceived slights are a dime a dozen amongst fans and even players.

Dwayne Wade commiting about 35 fouls in 30 seconds of the fourth quarter of a game against the marquee franchise in the NBA qualifies for a mental and physical breakdown. Hiding under the towel because the bright lights hurt his eyes after he apparently injured his dome qualifies as such too.

The game meant more to the Lakers than the Heat. The Heat have more talent than the Lakers right now and were without a huge piece of their success in Bosh. I don't put too much into the win, especially considering that Kobe had to make some impossible shots down the stretch in order to keep the Heat at bay. If I'm the Heat, I let Kobe take those fourth quarter shots every single time. They were low percentage (for the most part) and he somehow made them.

On a sidenote, for all of the hype that the Clippers have garnered throughout the league this year, its the Lakers that are in first place in the Pacific and only two games out from taking over the #2 seed. All of this with nary a PG and perhaps half of a SF throughout this season to contribute ) I also found it somewhat ironic that on a night where PGs went off in Williams, Rondo and others, that the marquee matchup between the Lakers and Heat had about the most insignificant PGs play in the league). It seems as if the Clips are severely missing Chauncey. If L.A. is able to pull in someone like Sessions, and Artest can do...anything, the Lakers will be contenders once more.

As for me, my season long boycott of the NBA lasted until after the All-Star break. These asswipes suckered me in again. At least until the trade deadline, then I am back into hiding until next year.

Here's your problem. You've boycotted the NBA for half the season, then walk in and say "Durant for MVP".

Not to take anything away from what Durant is doing this year, but LeBron is having the single greatest individual season in the history of advanced NBA statistics.

The guy who is easily the best player in the league is not the most valuable. Gotcha.

Just shows how they should abolish the MVP award and give it to the most outstanding player.

First of all, I thought you were a sarcasm and comedic specialist. Instead, I guess you are just another "uppity" Laker fan that only popped in here after beating a Handicapped Heat team. Then to top it off you say you haven't seen the NBA this year till after the all-star break but you call Kevin Durant the "Odds on favorite" to win the MVP. Or maybe you don't know what "odds on favorite" means?

Maybe you don't understand it in terms of basketball, but what Lebron James is doing this year is the equivalent of setting the Yards, completion %, Touchdown, QB Rating, and TD to Interception ratio record all in one year, while playing free safety and intercepting 8 passes.

There is NO ARGUMENT for anybody else for MVP. period.

As for DWYANE Wade..(not Dwayne), they didn't let him play. He is not only an equal to Kobe Bryant, but he has been better than Kobe Bryant for almost 5 seasons now, yet the refs treated him like some scrub in comparison to Kobe no nose. All over a All-star game foul. That is ridiculous and destroyed that game. But they deemed that they needed to handicap the Heat further, so no matter.

My objection was and is legitimate. You would object too if the shoe was on the other foot, and the refs erased Kobe Bryant. He didn't take "himself" out of anything, he wasn't an official for that game.

The "uppity" comment was for fun, but now that I think of it, laker fans are actually "uppity" if they think they have a chance in hell at making the WCF's.

"Odds on Favorite" - having a better than even chance of success; "the odds-on favorite"

so 4-5 that Durant wins MVP? you are either smoking crack or Lebron slept with your mother.

He should have won that one last year. This year he has had a lighter load since Battier has taken some of his covers, so he won't get it.

I'm not sure. Off the ball he's been amazing. Not to mention what he showed against Gasol. Normally I'd pencil in Howard for it, but he's having a down year. I think LeBron has a chance at it.

Anyway on a more serious note, Section (or any other Heat fans) what type of player do you see Cole developing into? I really LOVE his game, and think he can be a very very good PG when he develops a little more consistancy with his jumper.

His ceiling is Ty Lawson (which is damn good). But I think he will get better with time. Truth be told, he is lightning fast, and he can flat out defend, but he has been very uneven. His decision making is real shaky and he shoots to much. What we are getting is consistent "inconsistency". Which is what rookies do. But we got something. His future is bright.

But don't look now..there is another point guard on the Heat that is playing himself into BIG FOUR talk.

BTW, the Heat tonight at one point had 2 free throws, and zero fast break points, but had a 25 point lead. The Heat was held to zero transition points through three quarters, but were ahead by 40 at one time. The real funny moment came when Avery Johnson called 11 consecutive zone defenses in the 2nd quarter. The Heat then scored on 10 of the 11 possessions.

The worst thing the New York Media ever did was hype him up so much. it started with Deron lighting him up, then Miami embarrassing him, and now every team is focusing in on attacking him, and he's struggling.
