I respect your opinion, I just don't agree. I think the Cardinals have every bit as much talent as the Dolphins, if not more. The Redskins beat the Giants TWICE last season and their main weakness was at the QB position. Manning would certainly solve that problem for them. Houston and the 49ers are far superior in talent, compared to the Dolphins, and while neither of them are presently listed as possible suitors for Manning, a complete list of all the teams who actually have contacted Manning has not been reported.

I want Manning as much as any other Dolphin fan. I just also understand that for Manning, he must realize that he only has a few years left to win another Super Bowl. I think that when he considers all the teams interested in him, he will eventually end up selecting the team which he thinks can win a championship in the next year or two. This does not put the Dolphins at the top of the list, as far as I am concerned. I think Manning makes the Dolphins a serious playoff contender but Manning on some of the other teams I mentioned, makes these teams serious Super Bowl contenders.

Radio said today in So Cal that Manning has come out and said the Redskins will not be considered. He has no interest in them.

yeah and I love how this dome conversation keeps coming up... I see it as pointless....... Yeah domes are nice.....but

Guess what... Manning won his ONLY superbowl where? Oh... Miami? I think he's aware of that.......take it for what its worth.

The starting QB for the Titans is Matt Hasselbeck, who is older than Manning. Manning was a star at the University of Tennessee and he is loved by all the football fans in the state of Tennessee. I could certainly see the Titans having an interest in signing Manning and for Manning having an interest in returning to the state of Tennessee to finish out his playing days.

As far as the Cardinals are concerned, they came on strong at the end of last season, just as the Dolphins did. I see the Cardinals about on par with the Dolphins, as far as talent goes. I think their advantage is the fact that they play their home games in a dome and Manning has always loved playing games in a dome. As far as Fitzgerald vs Marshall. I would trade Marshall for Fitzgerald without even thinking about it twice. I would not trade Fitzgerald for Marshall. So when it comes right down to it, I believe Fitzgerald is the superior WR. As far as where Wayne ends up signing, I think he will go wherever Manning ends up if the team signing Manning has an interest in signing Wayne also.

Manning's only Super Bowl LOSS was also in Miami. Both the win and loss being in Miami is meaningless.

    Arizona vs Miami

Miami clearly has a better offensive line and defense. Arizona clearly has better WRs. The RBs are similar with a slight edge to Miami.

Not true at all. I think there are plenty of teams who are real competetion to land Manning over us and I wouldn't be surprised if it happened. The Broncos, not so much. It's more about Peyton Manning, not Broncos fans. He's not going to want to be part of that 3 ring circus that is Tim Tebow in any way shape or form.

I mentioned the Cardinals only because they seem to be the one team that seems the most likely place for Manning to sign if he doesn't pick the Dolphins. I think neither team has a great deal of talent and that is proved by their records over the last few years.

I still think that Manning would be best suited for the 49er's first, and the Texans second. I just don't know if either of these teams have any real interest in signing Manning. I think the dark horse is in this whole thing is the Titans. I would love to see Manning sign with the Dolphins, I am just realistic enough to understand that there are teams in the NFL who are more talented than the Dolphins and if Manning's desire is to win a SB in the few years he has left in the NFL, the Dolphins might just not be his best option.

Sometimes fans of a team only see what they want to see and don't even consider that their team isn't always the best option for a player. Manning only has a couple of good years left to get that second SB win. Hopefully he will look at the Dolphins and make a decision to try and win that SB with them . I just see better options available to him and as much as I would love to see him playing in a Dolphin uniform next year, I certainly won't hold it against him if he decides to sign with a team with more talent than the Dolphins.

I'd call them the dark horse too. They didn't resign Alex Smith yet, and did not franchise him.

I think the 49ers would be crazy not to go after Manning. He is the only thing they need to win the SB next year and possibly in 2014. In fact I could see them winning the SB the next three years with Manning as their QB.

I heard a discussion yesterday that the one thing which might prevent the 49ers from going after Manning is Harbaugh. Manning replaced Harbaugh as the QB of the Colts and there is a feeling that Harbaugh and Manning are not on the best of terms because of that. Also Harbaugh just might think that he can win a championship with Smith as the teams QB, and he wouldn't want to alter his offense just to suit Manning.

I have no idea if any of these things are true, but if they are, it is just blame stupid on the part of Harbaugh. Does it really matter who replaced him at QB with the Colts? He was merely a mediocre NFL QB, and by being forced out of the NFL, he was able to start his coaching career. He should be thanking Manning for ending his NFL career, because he is a far better HC than he ever was an NFL QB. As far as changing the offense to suit Manning. Who cares if it means you have a much better chance of winning a SB?
I think that the ownership of the 49ers are going to bring Harbaugh in and talk to him about Manning and after this talk, I will not be the least bit surprised if Manning is not in a 49er's uniform next season.

Exactly how do you come to the conclusion that the Dolphins defense can handle the offenses of the Patriots or Texans? The last I checked, the Dolphins have NEVER beaten the Texans. Last season the Dolphins defense gave up 65 points to the Patriots in two games. Manning plays offense, so I am not sure how he is going to be able to stop the Patriots or Texans from scoring.

As far as the Steelers go, I think the Ravens are better than the Steelers and the Dolphins have not had any success against the Ravens since they beat them to go 1-15 in 2007.

Personally I don't see the Dolphins defense being as effective next year as they have been the past two seasons. I think if they lose both Langford and Soliai, and with the retirement of Jason Taylor, the front seven is going to take a big step backwards. I also think that the loss of Nolan as the DC coordinator is going to have a negative effect on the defense.

Changing to a 4-3 from a 3-4 is not a great idea to me either. The Dolphins have been a top ten defense playing a 3-4 the last two years because of the play of players like Soliai and Langford. The Packers were a 4-3 defense last year and they were mediocre at best. If Nolan was still the DC and the Dolphins resigned both Langford and Soliai, I would agree with you. Since Nolan is no longer the DC and it appears both Soliai and Langford may be playing somewhere else next year, I just don't see the Dolphins being a top defense again.

With Manning as the teams QB, the Dolphins should certainly score more points. I just see the Dolphins defense also giving up more points next year.

I certainly hope you are right. I still think Nolan was a huge loss and I am not nearly as positive about the secondary. Especially if the Dolphins don't find another pass rusher to complement Wake. If the Dolphins can resign Soliai and upgrade their safeties, and find another pass rusher, I can see the defense being good again next year. If they don't add another pass rusher and they lose both Soliai and Langford, I see their secondary getting burned a lot next year. As far as Odrick goes, I have never been that high on him, but I hope he proves me wrong with his play next year.

When did we actually sign Wayne?

The general assumption, based on his comments, is Wayne will sign wherever Manning signs.
