So it's us, Cleveland, and Seattle all going hard after Flynn.

Jw you are clueless Weeden has a cannon of a arm he can win ball games and several coaches have said so . so just because he had a bad game here and there doesnt mean he will be a bust . some of you are not willing to look at what he can do but look at only his age. just because he thirty doesnt mean he will only play for three years Look at Kurt Warner he was up there age wise and he is a hall of famer. Weeden is bright and he bouncesback. several dolphin qbs when they hit a wall they didnt bounce back and that is why I love Brandon Weeden . even I can win a superbowl with Weeden all he needs is acouple more wr's a right tackle and a right guard and he is way better then Sanchez , better then the Buffalo qb so why should it matter how old he is if anyone can play for more the 3 or 4 years then there isno reason for why Weeden cant do it.

I never said Weeden doesn't have a good arm. I merely don't think he will be a very productive QB in the NFL. If you can actually win a SB with Weeden as your QB, you should have interviewed for the position of HC and explained to Ross and Ireland how you could turn the Dolphins into a Super bowl winning team by drafting Weeden. Perhaps you could have convinced them to hire you and draft Weeden.

I see Weeden as the next Chris Weinke of the NFL. If that makes be clueless, so be it. I don't think Matt Moore is anything but a quality backup in the NFL but I would rather see the Dolphins stay with him as the starting QB next season, instead of drafting Weeden in the early rounds of this years draft. If he is still available in the fourth round, I would have no problem with the Dolphins taking a chance on him with that pick.

    Cleveland will not draft Tannehill.
4 is way too high for him.

All I can say is, if we don't get Manning, we sure as HECK better get Flynn. If not, Ross needs to realize he needs to sell the team. I mean, if he can't get Flynn to come here, w/ his former OC as our HC, who can he get???

Is it, though? Worse QBs have gone as high, or near (Sanchez). Heck, I'm starting to think I'd be happy w/ him at 8 if we somehow don't get Flynn, which would fry my grits.

If we don't even pursue Matt Flynn...you MIGHT want to take into consideration Joe Philbin didn't push the issue.

I said this before about Flynn. If Philbin wants him, then we should do everything we can to sign him. If he doesn't, then that ought to tell you how much confidence the man who's been working with Flynn for the last few years has in him and just let it go!

Nothing has happened yet (unless you count RG3, but that was unlikely to happen in the first place). Be patient.

It could be a perfect storm situation. They are going to have to outbid Cleveland and Seattle for the services of Flynn meaning he may get top 5 money, that's if they have a shot becaus the may be flirting with Manning still when FA starts. If they want Tannehill they may have to trade up to 3 ahead of Cleveland to get him. If they want Weeden they may have to select him at 8 or else risk losing him in hope he falls to the second.

In conclusion, they need to find out quick if Manning is interested or just using them and quickly move on to Flynn.

I agree that if Philbin wants Flynn that he should be the top choice, but if they don't pursue him it could also mean that they see him as good but Tannehill or Weedon as better. They have quite a bit of information about Tannehill and I imagine that Philbin and Sherman have discussed him. Also Sherman did coach against Weedon so he's probably seen quite a bit of him as well. He's probably seen more film on him than our scouts have. Other than Luck, those three have been my top three choices since the beginning so if we end up with any of those three I'll be happy.

Yep. Cleveland and Seattle will drive up his already inflated price. He will get more guaranteed money than Kolb because the market is so much more fierce. It's just bad value.

I disagree, I expect it will be Kolb's contract or less.

I could be wrong, but after being a back up to Rodgers.. I know I might not be in favor with anyone else, but RIGHT KNOW, I don't see anything else other than Fiedler and AJ Feely, in Flynn...

Time WILL prove otherwise and if the Fins land him , I hope I am wrong...

Why? You don't think there will be a bidding war between us, Seattle, and Cleveland? He takes less to play with his old coach?

    Henne... :shifty:

But for real, go all in for Flynn and if the Browns get him, the Seahawks would have to trade up in front of us to get Tannehill. If they do... there is always Barkley next year and Moore has a year to prove himself...

I think that the combination of Flynn's limited resume and Tannehill and Weedon in the draft will keep the price down. Also the fact that Kolb hasnt been that good will hurt Flynn. Also, I'd heard a rumor that Seattle was really high on Cousins so you could add another QB option in.

Seattle and Cleveland can have Flynn. I feel better with pursuing Manning at the moment or Moores Light.

Like your quote. Just wanted to add my 2 cents.....this front office has screwed the pooch on this team since Jimmy. Why do you think he abruptly left. Then they bring in Marino as the "Head of Football Operations" and he quits 10 days later. This front office needs to get their head out of their a$$ and let the coach be the coach and stop interferring!!

Now it's Irish's fault that the QB class in the draft shriveled up and the FA market is Flynn or a potentially broken Manning.

If we don't get one of these guys, it's all Ireland's fault ?? I don't know...a bit harsh if you ask me...the man can only do what he can do...

Cin won't trade up with us because Carolina and the bills don't need a RB and would cost less.

last time I looked, no decision had been made as to where Manning would play in 2012
    having said that
    Moore/Tannehill would be the ticket.

hopefully, Manning will decide on Miami very soon

If we draft Weeden at 8 I will officially resign as a dolphin fan. As hard that is to say I think I really mean that after 27 years of loyal fanhood. I would be fine if we got him in second round but WTF if they take him at 8. I even think Tanny is a stretch at 8. If we could trade down to 15 or 20 and get him that would be awesome. Remember tanny was not even a thought untill sherman came on board. I think the rest of the league is the same.
