The only thing I have seen is he will continue to meet with the Cards today. Which is not surprising since he didn't get to Arizona till late afternoon\early evening yesterday.

If we meet with him chances are it will be Monday and hopefully through Tuesday too.

I think one reason it is so hard to follow Manning is there is no literary for his tour, he has been making this up as he goes so no one knows what his next step except Manning and from the sounds of it maybe he don't even know minute to minute.

The Jets have become a joke, they don't scare anybody. With the emergence of the 49ers the NFC West is not going to be a pushover anymore.

I wonder if its even true that its down to 3 teams. I know more teams are interested.

I say we go ahead and sign Reggie Wayne to show how serious we are about getting Peyton.

This is what happens when fans get way too caught up in a big name. You start to get way ahead of yourself. No offense G but you can't just go out and grab all the Colts castaways and expect the same chemistry and result.
There is a damn good reason why the Colts purged. Personally I don't want that in Miami. Why get old everywhere? Makes no sense at all.

To each his own KP. To me, there's something to be said for experience. And winning. Balance is the key of course. Bit, to rule out any potential upgrade simply because they're on the other side of 30, or because they were a Colt could be foolish IMHO.

I think not even trying to get Peyton Manning is worse than trying to and not getting him.
When Matt Moore sits atop of you QB depth chart and you don't try to get Peyton Manning when he becomes an FA, something is very wrong.

  22. And u think that reason is because all of a sudden all these players, coaches, ans his GM are all suddenly washed up? It seems to me Irsay had a really poor reaction to a terrible season and fired everyone. He has decided to start over from scratch.

Agreed, provided it is not overpriced experience and there is still enough gas in a players tank to compete every Sunday. I like bringing in Marvin Harris at a reasonable price and a short term contract. I am also intrigued at the idea of bringing in Saturday and shifting Pouncey on the line. Sign those 3 in FA and focus on Defense in the draft and then the Dolphins have enough pieces to see the post season for a change. Even without Peyton I think those two guys would dramaticaly improve our offense.

If Manning doesn't schedule a meeting with us we will know that either he was never interested, we were never interested, or that the whole helicopter debacle scared him away.

If that is the case I believe the best thing we can do is stick with Moore. I believe if we upgrade that #2 receiver slot and add just one more offensive lineman we can compete on offense. Then we need to address the rest of the defense. If Denver can make the playoffs with Tebow I'm not worried about us doing it with Moore. It's more that I don't think Moore is a guy that gets you over the hump. I do think he can get you there however.

Of course he starts over from scratch and I understand they know they have to rebuild.
Doesn't mean you can transplant that team chemistry that was once there to a new location. Rarely works if ever.
Dolphins need there own plan. Not washed up retreads.

I think the chemistry between a Center, Quarterback and WR stays the same no matter where they play. Now it doesn't mean the chemistry of the team becomes similar to theirs, but there is absolutely no reason to think that their individual chemistry would change. Their positions and habits are all integral to one another and they have been doing it together for probably millions of reps.

For some reason Dolphin fans want to make this team instantly old. Once again it makes no sense at all.

No they want this team instantly good. They are salivating over two or three years of consistently good (great if he recovers) quarterback play and a chance for a run at the whole enchilada.

My personal belief on the Manning situation has been that if he is healthy (or projected to continue regaining his health) you sign him. Because at the end of the day he is the only choice we have for an upgrade at the QB position this season. Unless you believe in Flynn or Tannenhill (and I believe in neither, especially Tannenhill) it comes down to Manning or Moore.

Reggie Wayne is still a very viable WR regardless of age and certainly better than anyone we have now at the #2, for me it depends on his price tag. Then you have Saturday who can't be commanding a lot of money and for a one/two year contract is really no risk. Most people want to see Pouncey at G rather than C anyway.

I don't see how three guys make the team instantly old.

For the love of god, if Manning does sign somewhere else, PLEASE don't call one of those media roundtable discussions!! We need to stop doing that every time we lose out on signing a big name player/coach. It's an amateur move. I don't see other teams doing it. But no, we're rebels!!

If we don't sign manning my hope for excitement this year might come in the form of saving the 300$ on Sunday ticket...

My opinion of Schefter has really plummeted through this thing. He will sling any hunch at the wall without a care of hoping it sticks. Mort snd Schefter work close together at Espn sometimes so its no surprise they are slinging the same slop.

NFL network made my heart stop beating for a couple of seconds. It said BREAKING NEWS across the screen, then went on to say that Peyton manning is in Tempe, Arizona meeting with Ken whisenhunt with the Arizona cardinals. That's not breaking news. I feel like NFL network has the cell phone provider that gets news later than everyone else. From those stupid commercials.

I did this for this season and boy was I glad I live in Ocala so I mostly get the Tampa/Jacksonville game over Miami but It was still worth it and will be until they put a enjoyable team to watch on the field.

Funny thing is I'd want Manning to end Tebow's era in Denver. If it wasn't for this I don't care who gets Manning.
