I have a feeling we will get Peyton, for better or worse. ESPN is never right, especially about the Phins. Please no *****ing until we find out, it's out of our control. By the way, Matt Moore>Matt Flynn aka AJ Feely part 2. Stay classy Dolfans!

I'd rather beat the living snot out of ESPN if they have got it wrong. If they have got it wrong then the blatant direspect for the Dolphins will bear my wrath. Just saying.

I'm frustrated too. I learned a long time ago not to get pissed about stuff out of my control. I personally think that the Manning camp are playing their cards. Example, the decision went from before free agency to sometime this week.

Is Manning even going to meet with the Dolphins, I hear he plans to make an announcement tomorrow of where he plans to play. does anyone have any info he will still meet with the Dolphin organization?

To be fair if you were to judge Matt Moore on just when he made his first starts in 2009 it isn't a bad comparison. Moore threw 8 TD's to 2 INT's while completing 61.6% of his passes that season. Two of his starts were games in which he had 3 TD to 0 INT and he actually threw only one INT in five starts.

There was a reason fans in Carolina thought he might be a legitimate option at QB. I'm just as comfortable with Moore as I am with Flynn.

I'm well read when it comes to the Dolphins. I'm not a Matt Moore fan but he has done a lot more than Flynn. Listen up guys, "FLYNN IS AJ FEELY."
I hit 2 homeruns in a high school game once. THE MARLINS BETTER GIVE ME SOME $. I'm just saying.

I'm actually very comfortable with Moore. I think he can lead a team to the playoffs with the right cast around him. Not to mention a much better offensive philosophy. I guarantee if you can improve the offensive line to the point Moore isn't spending all of his time on his back against every decent defense, add a solid weapon at the #2 receiver spot and utilize Reggie Bush in the passing game, you can win 10- 11 games with Matt Moore. Assuming the defense stays consistent.

I have nothing against Flynn, I just think experts are reaching. I may be wrong, Detroit's secondary is the best ever. You guys need to smoke, or drink, or just chill out.

One issue I have with Flynn is that in that Detroit game I don't see pressure throws. Rather I see WIDE OPEN receivers and defensive backs misplaying passes left and right. Not to take anything away from his spectacular game, but I just wonder what happens when those receivers aren't open and he needs to use his anticipation to make a throw rather than just tossing it out there.

You didn't see the defender on the deep pass on the offside play in which Flynn put the ball at a perfect height for his WR to jump over the DB and grab the ball for a TD?

You didn't see the perfect deep pass on the final drive to get the ball within the 5 yard line to bring GB back a second time from behind in the 4th quarter?

And now throwing to open WRs is a bad thing and QBs are to be downgraded for not throwing into coverage?

    Interesting...

It's not that far fetched that Matt Moore ends up being better. What has Matt Flynn accomplished in the NFL?

You are wrong, Detroit's secondary is not the best ever......although there pass defense was not as bad as people make it out to be.

Without Flynn's game Detroit would have had the 7th best defense as far as QB rating against at 75.4...adding in the Flynn game and Detroit had the 12th best defense for QB rating at 82.1.

Yeah why Matt Flynn when we have Matt Moore? I don't think Flynn's gonna be that friggin good. Yet thats probably who we will throw a max contract at him and be stuck with his Kevin Kolb like self for the next two years.

Besides having the best two game start in NFL history at 73 points scored, 731 yards and 9 TDs? Not much, but it's a hell of a start.

More importantly I would say Flynn has already mastered Philbin's system having been tutored by him for 4 years. It sure seemed to take Moore a while to learn Daboll's offensive system. An indication he isn't the sharpest tool in the shed?

Flynn displays leadership skills and the ability to do the little things on the field like a seasoned veteran. Take a look at the screen pass that went for 80 yards. It is easy to say that is just a screen pass. But when looking at Flynn as he drops back, plants and shifts his body as if he is going to throw the ball to the middle-right of the field 10-20 yards. He then dumps the ball to the left and the defense is completely flat footed. I don't know how many times I have seen veteran QBs give away the screen pass as he drops back. That is the type of solid play I think Flynn brings to the table that Moore doesn't.

Moore is a great backup, but I just don't see him succeeding running a WCO type offense. He simply doesn't have the accuracy. If Moore was really solid would our owner, GM, and alpha WR all be throwing him under the bus this off season? They know he isn't the answer, why don't some fans?

The Detroit's awesome secondary was a joke. I might take that bet PSG. My sources tell me Manning is close to signing with the Dolphins. See, I have no sources, I'm as good as ESPN.
Randy Moss will try out for the Dolphins according to sources (sources being my aunt's cats). See how that works?

The corner misplayed that pass terribly. It was underthrown and the corner never even turned around to find the ball. In all honesty it should have been an incompletion or a pick.

As for not throwing into coverage, that is a great way to flip it because duh..throwing into coverage is bad. My point was that on a game to game basis your receivers are not going to be tnat open.

well said. I dont see how anyone can argue with this besides the fact that people choose to be negative no matter what. In my opinion he will be the best available fa QB if we dont get peyton

I'm not negative no matter what. I just see Moore as being just as good as Flynn or if Flynn is better, it is marginal. Why would I want to pay Flynn 8 to 10 million a season as it has been reported when Moore comes much cheaper?
