According to the NY Post Brandon Marshall hit a Woman, I guess that explains why we dumped him for Peanuts. http://www.nypost.com/p/news/local/nfl_receiver_marshall_slugs_woman_Ad0Ydwu0KcuIXf8PiXfiIO
This report says: The New York Post is claiming there was a fight between two football players, one of which the report claims was Marshall, and that he “cold-cocked” Christin Myles, who was celebrating her 24th birthday. http://blogs.sun-sentinel.com/sport...hall-caught-in-new-york-night-club-melee.html Interesting how some fans think Marshall is misunderstood and b/c he has been diagnosed with BPD and openly acknowledges it that he has overcome it. Clearly some people don't quite understand BPD.
In other news... water is wet. Not to make light of the situation but this isn't a surprise to anyone. Guy has a serious problem.
If he were to get suspended lets say for the season more then the 6 game infraction minimum that he is due. That trade would be perfect in my book. I mean it is already well worth it but to get a 3rd rounder this season for nothing ha that is great. And a 3rd rounder next season for a WR would was out a season, icing on the cake IMO.
Was this before or after his wife got cracked upside the head with a bottle? And who was the other football player?
Won't matter. He's ****ed no matter what if he hit a woman. That's the last thing Goodell wants to hear **** about.
Depends on the circumstances, honestly. IF this girl had any type of weapon, you can't hold Marshall accountable for diffusing the situation. But yes, short of that, it won't look good for Brandon, if true.
It just really won't play well either way. We were smart to move him and not wait to see what the punishment might be.
If true, then Ireland is a genius, and yeah we all saw it coming the inevitable emotionally checkered reunion...
whether he was right or wrong, he can't continue to get himself into these kind of trouble esp after earning a payday from us. A pattern is starting to show.......
What were the off field issues he got into here? His wife stabbed him and...? His on field behavior was ****ty at times. From punting balls, to tantrums on the sidelines and in games, but his off the field incidents have been few and far between as far as I can recall. So yes, kill the man for getting stabbed by his psycho wife and for possibly punching a girl during a melee where his family was being attacked. Again, I think we are making too much of this story and looking for any justification to be okay with this crappy trade.
If his wife was struck in the face with a beer bottle then there will be a hospital report as he so claims he was trying to take her to the hospital. Wanna bet there is no report and wanna bet his wife magically recovers without a scratch or bump on her face >
So your contention is what? That Marshall decided, in a very public place, to randomly beat the crap out of a girl? Lawyer says she was treated for multiple injuries so I guess we will find out, won't we?
You mean the woman who stabbed him in self defense? http://blogs.denverpost.com/broncos/2011/04/23/brandon-marshall-file/7276/ Add the current allegations, and one may be inclined to think this guy is a woman beating POS, football talent aside. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Nah, he totally Nicolas Cage'd this chick in the parking lot when she met back up with her friends who were *****ing at both the players. He gets into crazy **** this time of year, I mean the **** is documented, BPD...Either way, that (Richard Pryor) is crazy
Or Sometimes you gotta do the man dance.
And his lawyer is supposed to say what ? Like I said, if as bad as Marshal said, there will be something from a hospital. If his wife suffered injury please tell me why there was no police report on that incident. In the real world, I hope everyone is OK. In the Marshal world, I have no dougt he cold cocked the woman for any reason you can imagine.
Marshall has a history of hitting women. I think it was Outside the Lines that did the report in it. If i remember correctly (its been awhile) there were like half a dozen women who accused him
While he was here????? Seriously? Check the link I posted, it chronicles his long list of issues with the law. This isn't the first time he lashed out at a woman. Oh, yeah his wife was charged and they were dropped..... http://www.thegrio.com/sports/charges-dropped-against-brandon-marshalls-wife.php I guess psychos love company. Marshal has a problem with most anyone on the planet earth. He truly believes he is above everyone because he is Brandon Marshal. I did not like the signing from day one. We over paid immensely for this clown.
His wife being a crazy ***** is well documented. I wouldn't even be surprised if she started it or got physical first. Even so, most husbands are going to go into protection mode if their wife gets a bottle thrown in her face. Throw in the fact that Marshall is a celebrity, which heightens the tension in public places (since you don't know what normal, everyday people will do) and Marshall's temper and yeah, you probably have yourself a recipe for disaster. It doesn't mean he wasn't in the right. For example, Ron Artest was in the right (in my opinion) when he went nuts in Detroit. I would actually be very surprised if Marshall just walked up and threw down on some girl like that. I also am interested in who the other football player is/was?
He seriously has issues. Ones most of us will never understand. But it's still no excuse for his actions.
Why does it matter who the other player was ? No police report was filed against another player was it ? Unless this woman was pointing a gun at him or attempting to stab him, there is no reason for what he did. He is a punk, accept it but you probably won't. Not our problem anylonger, he is the windy citys problem. Plenty of clubs up there to party at once his suspension is over.
Show me the documentation...I've shown you that the woman who was his punching bag wasn't the one he married. Once again I don't disagree with defending one's wife, HOWEVER, I am focusing on the mother****er who needs his life ended and not wildly swinging at a passerby. I actually have an example of women going crazy in public and having to step in. A friend and I were in a bar watching a game and it was crowded, we tried to make some space, and my friend had a drunk woman flip out on him and try to choke him, and he pushed her hands away. The husband tried to get through me to get to my friend, and I told him to get his woman in line cuz she just tried to choke my friend. He didn't swing randomly, he made a beeline for my buddy. A few drinks got spilled, but no bystanders got touched. I'm sorry Samphin....you are just taking an indefensible position for someone who has MULTIPLE strikes against him...the only time it is right to even raise a hand towards a woman is when she punches you first, and even then defense is necessary, you know block out? The thing is his situation in Denver! When his teamate got shot they were in a club late, two different parties got into conflict in similiar circumstance. The melee moved outside and further altercation continued/ escalated and someone was killed. Is it Marshalls fault no. I like brandon wish him the best in recovery, but theres a pattern of putting himself in improper situations and the team has a right and good reason to move on.
Um....it absolutely is his fault. He admitted under oath that he escalated the altercation which led to 15 shots being fired into his teammate's vehicle. Recovery or not...this guy is no more than a punk *** who likes to take his frustrations out on women. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Just because you fist fight with a guy outside a club doesnt mean you are responsible for the guy shooting someone, but you got my point im not defending or condemning Marshall. But do Defend the Dolphins decision to move on
Personally, I see Brandon as a tragic figure caught in a circle of sheit where the same brutal emotions that make him lauded and praised on the football field are the same personalities that inevitably get him into trouble. There, I've judged him prematurely and unnecessarily before the story unfolds. However, he is like a Russel Crowe film in the sense that somebody is going to get punched in the face if somebody rocks said boat.
I understand and agree with the decision to move on. I however disagree with your stance regarding the altercation that led to a teammate's death. Fighting a guy who ultimately picked the wrong car to go Godfather on looking for you places that death squarely on your shoulders, but I can agree to disagree on this one. To be honest I dont care if he punched twenty women in the face for no reason. I still wouldnt move him for what we received. Third rounders = virtually worthless compared to any established player. You hope a third rounder can be a rotational player on your defensive line or a special teamer.
I'm pretty sure this is how it went down... Marshall's agent: I still don't know why you're so upset over being traded for two third rounders. Lots of great players have been for less. Brandon: All right, all right, feck it! you tell 'em thats fine with me as long as I get to punch a *****. Marshall's agent: That's great news! I'll contact both parties immediately. Brandon: yeah, yeah, I got this birthday party to go to anyways, so...
Guilty until proven innocent, tbh though out at a club at 4 am and some of the other things from this offseason and I'd guess Ireland had enough, I saw a mention that there is a lawsuit centering around a sheriff giving special treatment to Dolphins players: http://www.sfltimes.com/index.php?option=com_content&task=view&id=9377&Itemid=331
I am so glad to see this guy off your team. Regardless of what that resident Jets idiot has to say, BM was a pain in the *** to cover and he gave Revis a hard time.
