We as Dolfans need to collectively let this go.

Tom Brady is one of the best QBs of all time. We just sound stupid when we dismiss his greatness.

Which further shows that their team and system are bigger than any one individual. That's not a bash to a first ballot Hall of Fame QB, it's just the facts. Look at Cassel's stats that year he played when Brady went down. Up to that point in Brady's career, his average season mirrored what Cassel did in that one season. Since then Brady has gotten better, but up to that point he was roughly a 24TD, 14INT, 3500 yard per season type of QB. Very good, but not anything special, especially in this offense favored league.

Who said he wasn't? I was just making a point that the Patriots, over the last decade, have been one of the best teams of all time too.

I'm optimistic. I'm thinking Philbins style of offense will be a breath of fresh air compared to what we are used to.

Which is something along the lines of dirty diapers and 9 month old chinese food.

I think of Tannehill, Weeden, and Flynn, Flynn is the best option.

I don't even think its a debate at this point if those are the options.

For Philbins Fins? Yeah. no brainer.

From the little film I've seen on him, I like his quick decisions, knowledge of his read progression, and accuracy. I'm not crazy about his arm strength.

I'm totally comfortable with the Flynn situation because of Philbin's connection to him as a person and coach. If he's a stud we'll get him. If we pass then maybe there's not as much there or not enough to pay that much to make him a Dolphin. I'm still not convinced Flynn would be any better than Matt Moore, but again, Philbin is in a great position to make that determination.

its based on two games. anyone who thinks matt moore should be our quarterback is a moron. matt moore will never have the kind of games flynn has and couple potentially have.

a matt shaub instead of a fielder....how many super bowls do we win?

I don't mind Matt Moore at QB if we draft Tannehill.

Brady is a great quarterback but you can't say he is only one in a million. There have been a lot of good quarterbacks of note who were picked late or not picked at all in the draft. Kurt Warner was an undrafted free agent, Johnny Unitas was drafted in the 9th round, Bart Starr was picked in the 17th round, Steve Young was selected in the NFL supplemental draft from the USFL by the Tampa Bay Bucs who deemed him a bust after three years and traded him for a 2nd and 4th round pick from San Fransisco and the rest is history. Other notables are Dan Fouts 3rd round, Roger Staubach was selected in the 10th round and began his career as a 27year old rookie, after a stint in the military, Jake Delhomme undrafted free agent, Jim McMahon 5th round, Marc Bulger 6th round, Tony Romo undrafted free agent, Matt Hasselbeck 6th round, Jeff Garcia undrafted free agent, Trent Green 8th round, Joe Theismann 4th round. This is just an example but it just shows you can't predict a quarterback's success by where he was picked, just as you can't project a quarterback is a failure or a bust simply because he sits behind another quarterback.
I would much rather take Flynn, keep Moore and draft Tannehill and let the competition begin rather than putting all of our eggs in one basket.
