Plan D should have been plan A all along. About time to start moving in this direction to get this deal done.

    Probably Plan C.

I imagine we would've tried to trade for RGIII if that possibility was still available.

Just please Dolphins, don't try and tell me that you wanted Flynn all along and that the whole Peyton thing was an elaborate ruse. Just don't.

    About right.

How good does "Suck for Luck" look right now?

Those 6 wins are really keeping me warm and fuzzy today.

With Peyton taking his time, we can sign Flynn cheap and lock up Winston and hopefully Blackmon will fall in our lap. Ross make this happen, as my heart as been ripped out for years!

I think they'll still drag it out and not sign Flynn til manning makes his decision. I believe Flynn is expected to be in Seattle for 2 days. Maybe we are betting on manning to make a decision before Flynn visits us.

Give it a rest.... do you really expect anyone to buy into that mentality?

"OK guys, we're gonna lose out this season for Andrew Luck. Now I know I'll get fired and half of you won't be on the roster in 2013... but for the future of franchise! Suck for Luck!!"

I can honestly say.... err... write... that I did, I do, and I will be happier than two pigs in a peach orchard if we don't get Manning.... Getting Flynn or one of the young'uns in the draft would be throwing some acorns in the peach cobbler!

Now, can the crying stop for a while. No decision has been made. The season has not started. And I'd rather have six wins from a team that tried than have a bunch of Suck for Luck losers.

Never suggested they do anything on purpose. they were losing just fine on their own for 7 games. then they screwed it up.

I only speak for myself, but I'd be a hell of a lot more excited talking about andrew Luck and the possibilities for the future right now than I am talking about Matt Flynn. No disrespect to Flynn, but that's the way I feel.

If Flynn is going to Miami (for a visit), then I think that's a pretty good indication that Philbin has given his endorsement. Ergo, if the FO can work out a deal, he's gonna be signed. That may seem rather obvious, but my point is if Philbin didn't think he could be "the guy" I doubt they would've have even asked him to come for a meeting. I just hope it's more a case of overall ability, and less about how he runs Philbin's offense.

Eh, it is what it is. I feel like while some players go one place and never leave it (Mario)... just as many, if not more, go to their 2nd or beyond destination. Half the time, the first team is just being used by an agent to drive up the price for the later team (we've been there a few times).

I don't think they have any other options at QB. Even if you want Tannehill, you need someone to start next season, and I doubt they can let Moore do it after everything that's been said. Weeden is probably the only rookie that could start that will be available to us.

Mario Williams didn't leave Buffalo because he had nowhere to go. He was waiting on someone else make an offer, and nobody did.

Will the team spend the money it would have used on Manning? Could prolly get Langford back before he ends up on the Pats.

People only wanted to suck for luck when we were 0-7, when there was nothing to be gained by winning.
Then we started racking up meaning less wins. For what? pride? What pride do we have left? This team is ****. This front office is undeniable ****.
Had we lost out, we would have the best QB prospect to come out in years and a nice GM who probably wouldnt be a Parcells lackey/complete ****tard.

So yeah the SFLers were right.

Or it means Philbin is helping to get Flynn a better contract from Seattle by getting Miami to fake interest in him.

Seriously though, I am not 'wowed' by Flynn, but he should be fair-good in an offense he knows so well. He won't have the weapons we thought he would just a couple days ago, with the Marshall trade, so we need to find at least another #2 WR and a better TE. If we can get him for $5-6 million per year on a 3-4 year contract (with incentives bumping it up to the $8-9 million range) I'll feel even better about it.

I am not 'wowed' by Flynn either. I do think he has potential to be a really good quarterback in this league and shown he is capable of putting up big numbers. The thing that excites me most is the fact that Philbin was his coordinator. To be honest I wouldn't really want Flynn if Philbin wasn't the head coach.
