A little disappointed we have to take Walton, but this trade gives Kyrie more minutes, and should equal more losses this year (leading to a higher pick).

Then, we get another 1st this year, plus the ability to swap our pick or the Heat's 2013 pick for the Lakers. That's solid.

Damn the Nets are dumb. Top 3 unprotected for Gerald Wallace? God I hope they get the 4th pick in the draft and get to watch a guy like Kidd-Gilchrist or Harrison Barnes become a stud.

I am happy that Sessions is in L.A. a solid, if unspectacular point guard. a 10 and 5 guy which is pretty much what this team needs. And we keep Blake who is comfortable in his role as the backup PG.

I am actually pretty sad to see Derek go as he is an all-time Laker great in my opinion. Just super clutch in the playoffs and a very good person and leader in a sport that lacks both. He understands its a business though and he will be back in the organization once he retires, I am sure of it. Dr. Buss loves him too much to not reach out.

Jordan Hill gives them another body upfront which...I guess is good. And Luke Walton is gone, along with Jason Kapono. Lakers had too many white guys to be successful until today,

Gasol should start playing better too, now that he knows he is here until at least the offseason.

I don't know why this team even bothers attacking the rim anymore. Getting hacked like **** and no calls. Every game.

It's not a ref issue. We don't have a star, so we need to adjust better. I don't know why we feel the need to attack the rim more than usual today. It's the Heat, we're not getting those calls. Stick to mid range jumpshots, stop all of this drive to the rim and throw up a shot hoping for a call nonsense. It's brutal to watch.

You have actually done well with Evan Turner attacking the rim...not watching the game, but he makes your team legitimate.

At one point, i thought the heat was gonna setup a bbq and break out the beer in the second half, as comfortable as they played while blowing that lead.

I hope they got reminded of how capable philly is.

The Heat is a ferrari with some timing issues in it's engine. They got some leaks they have to plug. As for philly, miami is just a bad matchup

Doug Collins should be fired for his end of quarter nonsense. Every game it's the same thing. Isolation Lou Williams like the guy is Iverson or something. He's a horrible basketball player who only takes shots away from the guy who should be taking them, Evan Turner. I pray to God Doug Collins realizes this the same way he realized Jodie Meeks is in fact, not Michael Jordan. Evan Turner is going to be very good in this league, we need a coach who realizes that. Lou Williams has to have incriminating pictures of Collins...

Take him. Please. He's awful. I knew when I seen him come in the game at the end it was over. It's been like that in every close game except the Lakers game. Collins thinks he's Jason Terry. Lou has always thought he's Allen Iverson. They're both wrong. He's Jamal Crawford. If we're lucky he'll opt out so Turner can take all of his bricked shot attempts. Either that or just retire so he can pursue his rap career.

If it weren't for him..the Heat would have 11 consecutive wins versus the Sixers. I like him in the context of what you do. If you think isolating Turner or Iggy versus the Heat's wings is the way to go in crunchtime, then you are mistaken.

High P&R, force the Heat to switch and try to get Lou Williams open shots, is a good idea versus the Heat.

Trust me..you have a GREAT COACH. He knows what he is doing.

It's worked one time in 15 or so close games. Time to give the ball to Turner, who almost single-handedly brought us back against the Heat, because LouWillVille in the clutch obviously isn't working. Didn't work last year either.

Turner almost brought you back? he had 6 FG's and 5 TO's.

The Sixers need to worry about getting aspects of their game together, instead of focusing on a "goto" scorer.

To be fair the context of what i said about landry is that he is terrible in the halfcourt and he is. When MDA was using him as a spot up shooter he was shooting like 24%. He has to take the ball to the rack or he losses his effectiveness. He struggles vs quick 2 guards defensively and vs big 3's. Tweener bench player who is maybe in the 8 man rotation on a championship team imo

Also, is it still Carmelo's fault? I mean just asking? Cause in the two games without MDA theyve both been over by halftime or the 3rd quarter. Now I can understand the skepticism after the Portland game cause I dont care what anyone says they just gave up but they were up by 30 in the 3rd tonight vs a good respectable indiana team. Im not saying theyre gonna win it all or even make the ECF. They still have to make the playoffs and solve their spacing issues at the 4 and 5 and get a suitable halfcourt PG who can take care of the ball but my god do they look better. woodson is at least passable as an NBA coach

Teams look better all the time after firing a coach, giving them a little boost. Reality usually comes back after a few games.

It was odd to see a Lakers PG take the ball, accelerate and finish at the rim. Sessions did himself okay tonight in his debut. Once he gets up to speed, I fully expect to see his assist numbers rise over the season average, and perhaps his points to dip...which is fine by me.

Yeah but in some cases the coach really is this bad. This is one of those times. I wouldn't have liked DAntoni coaching my Youth league team growing up since he'd probably find a way to mess that up to and make us the worst defensive team.

Yea he was awful, but seems to me people are trying real hard to put as little blame on the players as possible. I think they're half the problem, and expect the Knicks to come back to reality in a game or 2. We'll see.

The players are part of it but the coaching was really that bad. Do I think they're going to keep blowing teams out by 20-30 points every night? No. No one really does that on the regular. But they have the talent to be better then their record despite the lack of spacing and poor roster construction. On talent alone this should be at least a team that's a few games over 500.

"Darrelle Revis" that genius jet fan we all love. PROMISED ME that LBJ will NEVER win a ring.

So I made him an offer, sure to shut him up.

Anybody can get $500. it is not that hard. getting your hands on 10k is much harder...

My 10k vs. his $500. Deal?

that's because the the championship banners cover it, but it is in the same place it is now, and IMO, it should be retired for every team. Riley is right to ask for it to be retired.

Knicks have not won the Atlantic Division in 18 years.

They have drawn to 4.5 games back. Will they do it? That is one interesting race and home court in the 1st round is at stake.
