We have a decent football team. Superbowl contender ? Who knows, stranger has happened. Who ever thought Warner when in AZ would get to the Superbowl. Every " expert" screamed the Cardinals should not even be in the playoffs, they do not deserve it just because they won the weakest division in the NFL. If it wasn't for a last second incredible catch, the Cards would have won it all. All that when all those " in the know ' were laughing their ball sacks off at the Cardinals even making the playoffs.

Like I said, say what you want. This is not a crap football team.

funny how no one wants to blame the coaching or players or ownership. nope it has to ALL fall back on Jeff Ireland just to have a scapegoat to take out their frustration. if you guys cant see we have a solid team and are only a couple pieces away, then that is yalls problem... the difference between going 10-6 and 6-10 in the NFL is very slim. Hell, if Marshall catches a couple of those TD's were probably at least 9-7. and ppl are mad we got rid of him... lol what a joke these dolphins fans are

Add in we have a pretty favourable sked this year, and if we can get some of the good consistent play from MM he showed in spurts last season, we may just turn a few heads. Still a few holes to fill, am interested to see how our drafting will pan out.

It takes a collective "suck effort" to get where this team is today
as far as you say,"we have plenty of young talent"

    Do you mean
Brian Hartline with 1 td in the past 26 games or

Koa Misi with 1 sack in the past 17 games

Daniel Thomas who averaged 3.5 yard per rush
    WITH ZERO TDs rushing

    Clyde Gates with 2 receptions

Jeron Mastrud 1 reception in 22 GAMES

Chris Clemons 3 years here and he averaged 1 tackle per game last season

Julius Pruitt 2 years with the team with ZERO catches

Roberto Wallace ZERO receptions last season

Marlon Moore ZERO receptions last season

Ray Feinga 2 years here with 0 games started played in 3 games

John Jerry started 3 games last season...following in Vernon Carey's footsteps
while he eats himself out of the NFL

Lydon Murtha 4 games started in 3 years

    Great young talent!!!

We've got good talent. Just not supporting cast to get us to better things. I love the team, just not the higher up tie wearing know everything letdowns we have who steer the ship.

What are we basing this not crap football team on? Our 7-9 record 2 years ago? Or was it 6-10to last season? Or our ability to not only not add playmakers on offense, but lose them. Or the fact that it took career years from our QB and RB to even get to 6-10. Or was it our ability to add a pass rusher opposite Wake..ooops...

So what are we basing us having a decent football team on? Because I fail to see it. We have an unknown at SS. SOLB. An unknown in Sean Smith and even an unknown on whether VD will finally turn the corner and mature. And absolute terrible OL that has no answers in sight for 3 positions. A unknown coach as well. How do we know he will not be a Cam Cameron. I dont see it, but we have no clue what we have in the first year head coach.

Will Matt Moore and Reggie Bush play that well again? Because its going to take that to get to 8-8. And thats if we hit a homerun with this draft and get contributors through out.

Look at my past posts. I have yearly been a positive poster. But theres not much to be postive at this point.

We have many good players and have finally gotten rid of the awful coaching staff. I'm looking for good things next season. Of course by mid season I may be ready to slit my wrists but I'm trying to think positive.

hahahahahahahaha bro you're naming almost all back ups. how are they gonna put up stats with better players in front of them????? thats your argument???? plus like half of them are undrafted free agents and only 1 2nd rounder and everyone knows Misi isnt a great pass rusher but hes good in coverage and setting the edge and athletic. hahahahaha i can go off and name the Giants back ups right now and try and tell you they suck. Get that **** outta here

Did you think a 1-15 team could go 11-5?

I'm not saying I'm super optimistic either, but you're acting like its beyond reasonable to go from 6-10 (with the last 9 games being 6-3) to just 4 more wins, maybe.

No, we don't have a QB. I don't expect a rookie QB if we draft one to make us a sub .500 team. Marshall would have helped IMO but many fans don't like him still doesn't change the fact he was the best WR we have had since Chambers.

No. And I also never said we couldn't go 10-6. Our team as of right now is worse. I hope and expect Coaching is better. But im also worried about our QBQB and RB not reproducing career years again.

Same with WR and TE. We have some big holes on the oline that need to be addressed as well. I'm confident in the coaching staff just not in the personnel we have on offense.

yeah only a few players away! RG, RT, LG, atleast two WRs, and a quarterback on ofense. Then for D all we need is a CB, FS, a decent pass rushing DE or LBer besides wake...are you nuts? If we make the playoffs it's the surprise of the decade.

with this collection of scrubs we'd be lucky to go 5 or 6 wins. You don't win with only 2/5ths of an offense line. I'll admit the holes I pointed out on D arent as horrible as our offense. In fact we have a very above average defensive unit that could turn nasty if we could generate a better pass rush. I liked the pick up of marshell and dumping of bell. You can't win games in this NFL if you can't score any points and we honestly have nothing on this team that scares anybody.

I think the difference is we aren't going to have a Chad Pennington and a gimmicky new offensive formation to bail us out this time.

Because Matt Moore or Chad Henne was the franchise savior at QB. Its alright at least we have Hartline and Bess that should scare opposing defenses.

Or Marshall under-achieved and the rest of the offense such as the OL and RB (we need a between the tackles RB that can get tough yards, very badly) let us down at times.

There's plenty of offenses that have worse QBs than Moore that put more points on the board.

Still leaves a gaping hole in the offense and it doesn't help that we don't have a franchise QB. Maybe it was a good move to get rid of him but I'm not thrilled with how the offense is looking without him.

I wasn't comparing the situations exactly, I was merely illustrating that if going from 1-15 to 11-5 is possible than going form 6-10 to 10-6 should be even more possible.

You're assuming that Marshall would have produced big numbers in our new offense and that any WR we have or will get wouldn't produce more in this new offense.

This team/organization is in major need of an identity. Philbin and the new coaching staff will be the biggest reason we succeed or fail in 2013. A weak schedule and great coaching (a big if) can get a lot of teams to the playoffs....hahaha here's to wishful thinking. The reality is the Fins will be lucky to win 4-5 games this year.

I'm not surprised that Manning decided to go elsewhere. You can't really blame Irish for that since $$$ wasn't the reason for his decision. But WTH is with the Marshall trade? We basically gave away a #1 receiver for 2 3rd rounders? I just don't get it. What are the chances of either of those picks panning out to a probowl player? I thought Irish was the one behind the Marshall trade and not Parcells. Was it a cap move because the crazy thing is we are only ~6 million under the cap after signing Garrard. That's barely enough to sign all the rooks after the draft.

Marshall doesn't have to produce god like numbers to have his presence felt in the offense. He produced fine for what we had throwing to him. I know he had his drops but I recall Hartline, Bess, and Fasano have some very key drops in crucial situations as well. Like it or not we are going to miss him on offense.
