goes back to what I said before, it was all about leverage for him. There was zero interest in him ever coming to Miami. Don't think that quote won't come back up come the week Miami travels to San Fran.
Cam Wake 15 yard penalty for pile driving this *****es tailbone through his neck!!!!! 15 yards well spent.
A simple "I am going to the 49er/phin game this year I really hope we destroy that team, especially after Smith said this" would've sufficed, but hey....super cool story bro.
Don't worry bout it. With the crap that dudes like me and my bro the 23rd write here, we'd all be brain-dead if these posts make people stupider.
Since Garrard had no other suitors for a starting position, there was no leverage in terms of playing Smith for Garrard. Garrard had no leverage either way.
He had a pretty solid year last year, and I especially liked the way he played in the playoff game against New Orleans, but I'd have disappointed if we'd have brought him in for what he was expecting. The fact is he hasn't done well over his career and SF may have the offense he is best suited for. It's no sure thing he'd have been any good in Miami.
I say we put a $5,000 bounty on his head when we play them!!! Well......maybe that's not the best idea.
Man, I might just have to try to get tickets to the 49er/Fins game this year to see him get pounded & talk **** to my cousin who is a bigtime 49ers fan.
The funniest thing about this is that he actually has no idea that there were probably at least 100,000 Dolphins fans screaming 'Jesus Christ, please no,.....'. There's nothing quite like being the smartest idiot in the room.
Due to my immense intelligence I gained psychic powers and recently had been conversing with Bill Gates telepathically and as a result I have been sharing ideas with him over the past 5 years. Recently he forwarded me $5 million that me and my Brazilian super model girlfriend have been using for vacations and investing in African start ups that make me huge amounts of money and help feed thousands of people....oh yeah, **** Alex Smith.
I wonder if that's what he really thinks, or if it's a way to cover a bruised ego, when he didn't get offered a $30 million deal?
Actually ben volin took this quote out of context. Smith actually said, "i thought talks (with the dolphins)were serious at the time, but I was always hoping to sign back with the 9ers." He went on to say "it was also an opportunity to see south beach, since i've never been there" I hate journalists who have their own agendas.
I'm not. When I was 24 my girlfriend didn't even know about football, let alone have a stepdad who would volunteer to take them to a corporate suite, except for a farmer's convention. AAAARRRRRRGGGGGHHHHH!!!!!! PS. You better enjoy it, bro.... and don't mess this up!!!! OY!!!!!!
It's 2012. And as usual, the full quotes and context are magically excluded. http://www.mercurynews.com/mark-purdy/ci_20226533/mark-purdy-alex-smith-drama-is-finally-over He took a red eye to be here on a Saturday morning. Obviously the Niners were always the odds on place he'd be. But lets not play the game and let third party agendas color our objectivity.
I hate when people post how they were right and then reference it, so yeah I told you he was just trying to make his girlfriend Niners jealous.
Aren't you pissed?! After all those posts defending Alex Smith and he goes and says that?! You should be outraged.
I wonder if we're ever able to sign a big time FA in the future as long as Ireland is in charge! And no, i don't consider Smith as a big time FA!
