If Blackmon isn't there then tryvto trade back and get Weeden, vid that's with our 2nd great but use the 1st if u have to.

Trade our extra 3rd the GB for Quarles.

Load up on WR and DE/_OLB in the rest of the draft.

I believe the expected for the Browns is Richardson with Blackmon going to St Louis, this what I have heard teh most. Tho Blackmon to Clev isnt an original idea, I believe is what will happen

Ryan will not go in the top 7. Neither will Weeden. You heard it here first. Remember that ;p

Miami could drop down a few spots and still land Ryan if they wanted. Sure the draft overrates QB's large...but there is still something to be said for teams being weary of picking a guy in the top 10 like Ryan who most likely will need a year before starting.

Cleveland most likely goes Blackmon and then aims for Weeden with their 2nd 1st rounder (too many folks forget they have a 2nd 1st).

That would be ideal, we do have a lot of holes to fill and if we were able to get a second, while acquiring Tannehill later, I'd be happy.

I don't even think he will go in the first round. You heard it here first ;) I think Weeden is third QB taken. Tannehill was not even a thought until the media hype with the arrival of Sherman. Just as Philbin did not want to over pay for his boy, I don't think we will over draft for Sherman's. Do you honestly think anyone has Tanny that high on their board...... What did this raw afterthought QB truly accomplish to deserve a top ten spot? This would be a raideresque move in my opinion. To think Holmgren would waste a pick at #4 when they a have a servicable QB is insane. Total Smokescreen hoping nobody jumps them for Blackmon.

Would not be shocked if Tanny and or Weeden are on the board for our second pick. Then what?

I don't think I would be able to select Weeden at 8 if Tannehill goes early, theres a low risk factor involved in getting Weeden later, and I need to hit a home run in this draft, and I might miss out on something like this trade down scenario..

Michael Floyd..The Marshall dynamic is replaced in one swoop with a potentially better player.

    Brandon Weeden...Arm talent rules..

Bruce Irvin..Situational pass rusher with hi upside combined with a need, and good draft value if he hits it.

Devon Wylie..no explanation necessary...ok maybe a little one, pound for pound the most explosive player in the draft.

Cannot do that Bro, if you identify Tannehill as "your guy", you draft him at #8, same thing with Weeden.

When you take a Qb with that high of a draft choice this is not a sort of experiment, this is you bet the house on his high level of play.

I don't know if Ireland believes Tannehill is a franchise QB or not. If he does he better work out a deal with the Vikings. If he doesn't there are a lot of options.

The only reason I said top 7 instead of top 10 is that Ireland may be daft enough to draft him at 8. No one else will. This is where you have to trust your draft board. If your front office truly believes he won't go in say the top 15 and you got an offer to drop within that range..it's foolish not to take it.

IMO it's a moot point anyways. I just don't see Tannehill going that high to sit on a bench for a year. Ryan goes to the draft he could be the guy hiding from the camera's as the networks cut to his pained face as he slides. Worse case scenario is he slides to the mid to late 20's and Weeden leapfrogs him.

If any team is going to trade up into the top 15 for a QB at this point....it's a team not scared by Weeden's age.

An inept FO having one of the worst off seasons any team has ever had in any sport when it comes to popularity with their fan base will most likely have to reach for a QB in round 1 as a desperate effort to put butts in seats.

What we should do imo would be to draft Blackman or Richardson if either should fall to #8, attempt to trade down if neither do or take BPA and not reach for any of the other QBs that shouldn't go in round 1 at all...and that includes Tannehill whose value probably lies in the 2nd round.

Since when does Ireland care about being popular with the fans? He shouldn't. He should only care about winning and not veer from that no matter how many whores he pisses off....Was I disapointed about Manning? Yeah duhhhh but the rest of the moves I get. I hope he doesn't reach but if he does it will define him one way or the other.

It's one thing to not be popular and win. It is entirely another thing to not be popular, not win, and make your team worse in the off season...in case you haven't noticed the team is heading in the wrong direction when it comes to wins...11, 7, 7, 6 wins since he has been given the title of GM and not being able to put a product on the field that is all that entertaining either. Matt Moore to Brian Hartline got you excited? You going to spend your hard earned cash to buy a ticket? If Ireland isn't going to put a team on the field that wins he better start thinking about putting a team on the field that appeases the fans.

    **** the fans.

Why should Ireland worry about the same idiots who were clearly right about wanting Orton last year? I know that'd of been entertaining.

All Ireland should be concerened about is improving the team and winning games.

Try this on for size.... Our average age was getting older as the quality of our coaching staff was getting worse. We were trying to offset the piss poor staff with guys who had talent to overcome it. The Lions got younger and were terrible while doing it. The 49ers got younger and were terrible while doing it. Those two teams will probably sustain for a long time as they had GMS who bit the bullet and did it right. Ireland is finally biting the bullet. We finally have a coach who can build through the draft and get his players who will do it his way. I did enjoy watching moore towards the end of the year. I did enjoy watching Bush rattle off 100 yard games when they said he never would. I loved watching our young un proven defense make plays and start coming to life. The weather cant be nice all the time but you keep watching waiting for the storm to break. I am actually excited to watch what happens this year. I will buy the sunday ticket again like I have every year just to see my phins. 11 wins? we all know that was a farse. Come on. The schedule? The newance of the Wildcat that nobody. knew how to stop? Should have been another 7-8 or 8-8 season... Nothing changed when Tuna came to own. It was a complete waste of time. Now we have a real shot to turn this around and luckily we have been drafting some pretty good talent along the way. Time to dust em off and put them to good use.

Who was the person in charge above Ireland hired to orchestrate this whole thing?

...... And what's more important?--- the person's "title"?... or the position details themselves?

What really is a "GM" when someone else is above him with full control? Wouldn't that make him more like a "vice" or a "GM in training"?

It seems like you're now trying to draw some sort of parallel between our declining record and the fact that Ireland has been here for 4 years (despite authority belonging to someone else during the first 3). Jake Long has been here 4 years; can I blame him for back to back 7 win seasons since he, too, was here during that time? Just sayin.

I am not a fan of taking Tannehill or any of the QB's left in the draft after Luck and RG3, in the first round. In fact I am not that crazy about the Dolphins using a second round pick on one of these QB's.

With two third round picks available to the Dolphins, perhaps they can use one of these picks to take one of these second tier QB's and hope it works out in the long run. I just feel Tannehill and Weeden are vastly overrated only because of the position they play. If some teams weren't so desperate for QB's, I don't see either of these players being worth more than a late second round or third round selection.

I would rather see the Dolphins wait until the 2013 draft and do whatever is necessary to move into the first position in the draft and select Matt Barkley with that pick.

I'd be very happy with the combination of Blackmon/Weeden. We'd need to trade up into the late first to make sure we get Weeden though. I'd offer the Giants our second, fourth, and sixth round picks, or package our second and extra third if need be to move up further into round one (you call NY when the draft gets into the 20's range). I'd love to hang onto both third rounders though, as I'd like to get Ladarius Green at TE and a pass rusher with those picks.

You are correct, Elway did state that Tebow, "earned the right to be the starter in 2012". What he didn't say is that Tebow earned the right to be the starter for the Broncos. Perhaps he was talking about Tebow being the starter for the Jets in 2012.

nobody thinks we will go for an elite pash rushing end since we didnt even talk to anyone during FA and want to move to a 4-3? if blackmon is at 8 i hope they do that. floyd i could handle passing on. i dont really want tannehill and I think weeden will be there latter. maybe we can trade up with our extra picks? who knows? i also feel like philbin will go WR heavy in mid-late rounds.

Exactly why I feel we will trade down maybe even twice in the first round. If we could end up with 4 3rds or even 2 seconds and 3 3rds, and a first, Philbin is going to have a field day.

Just to clarify -- I do not dislike Tannehill as a player. I just want to make that clear because people tend to think I hate the guy when I say I don't view him as a first rounder. I don't really have a problem with him at Miami's second round pick, but that's unlikely to happen. I think his upside is very high honestly, I just wonder if he'll ever put it together. Sometimes I see similarities in his game to Carson Palmer's in terms of passing the ball. Some may say there's nothing there to compare to, but in terms of reading the field, I think there are some similarities. There's probably many more guys you could pick out characteristics of and see similarities in there games though, such as Ryan Fitzpatrick.
