With the 81st pick, the Tampa Bay Bucs select... George Iloka, S, Boise State

We could use some competition at the safety spot and thought that Iloka was good value here.

with the 84th pick the Packers selct:

    QB Russell Wilson Wisconsin

    Overview

If Wilson was a few inches taller he might rank as the top senior quarterback prospect in the 2012 draft.

Having originally signed with North Carolina State out of high school, Wilson was named the Scout Team MVP while redshirting in 2007. A year later he exploded onto the ACC scene, earning First Team All-ACC honors and the conference's Rookie of the Year with 2,343 yards and a stunning 17-1 touchdown to interception ratio.

Though he dropped to second team all-conference honors in 2009, Wilson led the ACC with 31 touchdown passes and posted 3,287 total yards, the third-best mark in school history. Wilson torched the conference again in 2010, completing 58.4 percent of his passes for 3,563 yards, 28 touchdowns and 14 interceptions. He also led the team with nine rushing touchdowns.

Despite Wilson's success (including a remarkable 76-19 touchdown to interception ratio) as the Wolfpack's quarterback, head coach Tom O'Brien and his staff wanted more from their quarterback, pressuring him to commit full-time to football. Wilson played baseball for N.C. State as a freshman and was drafted in 2009 by the Colorado Rockies.

Unwilling to give up baseball and having already graduated, Wilson took advantage of a now-defunct NCAA rule that allowed him to transfer to another Division I school and play immediately. He did precisely that in 2011, taking over the helm for the Wisconsin Badgers, leading them to the Rose Bowl by again demonstrating superior decision-making (33 touchdowns against just four interceptions) and versatility with the football.

Athletic, strong-armed and poised under pressure, Wilson proved to be an immediate standout in two power conferences, easing concerns about his ability to handle the jump in size and competition in the NFL despite his less than ideal stature. Every short quarterback is inevitably compared to Drew Brees. Considering Wilson's production, winning percentage and leadership, he's one of the few who warrant being mentioned in the same breath as the Saints' All-Pro.

    Analysis

Accuracy: Was the nation's most efficient quarterback in 2011, earning a 191.78 QB rating -- over 22 points higher than the next highest rated QB from a pro-style offense (Andrew Luck) … Showcased the ability to consistently throw receivers open versus single coverage as a senior, demonstrating impressive improvement in this area from his time at NC State … Delivers a tight spiral that is easily tracked and caught. Typically hits his receivers in stride whether on zipped crossing routes, touch passes dropped over the top of defenders or line drives leading receivers out of bounds on the deep out.

Arm Strength: Arguably Wilson's most impressive trait, especially considering his lack of ideal size. Can easily make every NFL throw, showing the ability to drive the football to the sideline on a line from the opposite hash. Can send the ball 40-50 yards downfield with a flick of his wrist.

Setup/Release: Efficient set-up and delivery of the ball. Experienced taking snaps from under center and shotgun. Drops back quickly and shows good rhythm and timing despite limited experience playing with Wisconsin's receivers, planting his back foot and driving the quick slant. Has a quick, over the top release and does an excellent job of finding clear passing lanes from which to throw.

Reading Defenses: Cerebral quarterback who is rarely fooled by coverage. Makes strong pre-snap reads and demonstrated improvement as a senior in manipulating the defense with his eyes and legs. Shows good poise in a muddy pocket, stepping up to avoid the rush and challenging linebackers to either commit to stopping him from scrambling or dropping off to cover receivers behind them. Is more than willing to scramble but does a nice job of keeping his eyes downfield until the last possible second.

On The Move: Very good elusiveness and speed for the position but his most impressive trait may be his vision. Anticipates pressure well and does a nice job of forcing the defense to commit and taking advantage of the weakness exposed once they do. Very good mobility for bootlegs and roll outs, showing good accuracy and arm strength to fire passes downfield.

Intangibles: Voted a team captain at NC State and Wisconsin … Attempted 379 passes between interceptions -- the longest streak in NCAA history -- over a two year span of 13 games in 2009-10. Finished his collegiate career 30-20, including 11-3 as a senior … Wilson was drafted in the fourth round of the 2009 MLB draft by the Colorado Rockies. The second baseman hit .229 with five home runs and 26 RBIs in the Northwest and South Atlantic leagues. Wilson notified the Rockies in January 2012 that he will pursue playing in the NFL over baseball … Good bloodlines. His father, the late Harrison Wilson III, played football and baseball at Dartmouth and spent time on the San Diego Chargers' practice squad

With the 85th pick, the Bengals select CB, Ryan Steed.

May not be the fastest CB in the draft, but I love his physicality and man2man coverage skills. He'll be competing with Brandon Ghee for the 4th CB slot.

With the 86th and 87th picks in the draft the Pittsburgh Steelers would like to select a pair of receivers:
    Marvin Jones - Cal
    Dwight Jones - UNC

Scouting Report: Marvin Jones - WR - Cal
A late addition to the Senior Bowl roster, Jones certainly made the most of his unexpected opportunity, standing out as the top wideout on the North squad. He used his combination of short-area burst and footwork to separate from defensive backs in one-on-one drills, looking precise as a route runner. Jones looks maxed out in terms of bulk on his narrow frame, but he had a better than expected weigh-in at 6-2, 198 pounds with 10-inch hands. He got himself in trouble when he tried to get physical with defensive backs in coverage, but he looks like an intriuging slot player who could excel in space.

By running a 4.46 at the combine, Jones did a lot to bolster his draft stock. Most saw him as a 4.55 possession receiver, but his postseason evaluation can only help him. Jones is a natural fit as a No. 2 receiver who can beat press coverage and turn a short route into a big play. He possesses a great short area quickness, yet he may not play as fast as his timed speed.

Jones is a good short-to-intermediate route runner, but gets lazy when running longer routes down field. He adjusts to the ball in the air well and has average body control. An average leaper. He reads defenses and can find open areas under 10 yards. Rarely secures the ball using his body and can catch with his hands extended. He needs to show more burst and snap when route running. Corners can usually stay with his him since he bends the corners of his routes.

Scouting Report: Dwight Jones- WR - UNC

A senior at North Carolina, Jones is a NFL-ready receiver still playing college ball. Scouts will absolutely love the physical tools he brings to the table: 6'4'' and 225 pounds. For a man of his size, Jones has excellent speed. The star wideout averages a 4.50 in the 40-yard dash and has been clocked as fast as 4.43 from that distance. Needless to say, his combination of size and speed is the perfect recipe for success at the next level. Jones also changes direction extremely well, has great hands, and is an effective blocker in the running game. He needs to improve his burst off the ball and his ability to keep the play going with the ball in his hands.
Not surprisingly, Jones is tearing it up for the Tar Heels. He played sparingly as a freshman and sophomore, but he surged into prominence in 2010. Jones hauled in 62 passes for 946 yards and four touchdowns, playing in all 13 games while making 12 starts. So far this season (through eight games), he has 48 receptions for 703 yards and eight scores. The Burlington, NC native is an obvious red-zone target and he should continue to be just that on Sundays. With continued good play in 2011 and a solid performance at the Combine, Jones could be a second-round selection in the 2012 draft.

Titans with the 92nd pick select:

QB Kirk Cousins, Michigan State Spartans

Came into the draft thinking quarterback was one of the positions we were set it. However, this is just too much value to pass up here late in the 3rd round. Matt Hasselbeck is not getting any younger. Jake Locker will be the unquestioned starter. And then we have a good backup who is capable of being groomed into a starter. Makes sense here for Kirk Cousins.

The Jacksonville Jaguars select Miami (Ohio.) OG Brandon Brooks (6-4, 353) with the 94[SUP]th[/SUP] pick of the 2012 NFL Draft.

We view him as an instinctual interior lineman with excellent intangibles and finishing ability. A stellar Pro Day showing validated any concerns about athleticism. With more than 40 starts in his college career, we think he can make an immediate contribution.

Plus, we like his ability to beat the crap out of middle-aged men:

With the 97[SUP]th[/SUP] overall selection in the 2012 NFL Draft, the Jacksonville Jaguars select Oklahoma wide receiver Ryan Broyles (5-10, 192).

Yes, he is coming off an ACL injury but he was far too talented to pass up here. We view him as the third most talented receiver in the draft.

The guy is polished. He runs great patterns, sinks his hips on cuts, has terrific hands and can break tackles, turn up field and score after the catch.

Broyles has a game that is reminiscent to Marvin Harrison. Not the biggest or fastest guy, but flat out gets things done against very good competition.

A high-energy player in every sense of the phrase (dude is always willing to make a big block), Broyles is ahead of schedule from his ACL surgery and should be able to make some contributions as a slot receiver this season.

With the 101st Selection in the 2012 GM Leage Draft, the Cleveland Browns select …

    Nick Foles, QB, Arizona

Sometimes it's better to be lucky than good. The Browns, in this case, got a bit lucky. Or "Lucky" as it were. We had actually be planning to explore moving up in the draft, before a late-night draft recap party ended up out of control, and we ended up south of the border, without phone or internet. Kind of like the hangover, only less exciting. From my foggy memory I can remember meeting up with some dude named Lucky at the after party. And then we ended up in Mexico. Semi naked.

Anyway, let's move on from that. We're really happy to be able to draft Nick Foles at this spot in the draft. Going in to the draft, he was actually rated as our third QB prospect behind Luck and RGIII. Had we wanted, we could have drafted Weeden, Osweiler, or even Cousins at 25 or 68. But instead we went a different direction and we're getting a guy I think will develop into a very solid and capable QB down the road.

For now he's clearly our #3 QB; we've hitched our wagon up to Colt McCoy one more time, though obviously we're going with the power of Tebow if he struggles. Even if he doesn't, our coaches have concocted some special packages that should take full advantage of The Chosen One's skillset. In Foles we have a guy who we aren't asking to step in and start right away. He can take a year or two and then we can evaluate the situation.

Thought it might be interesting to take a look at a relatively unbiased scouting film of him, and against one of the better teams in the country last year. I see a guy who has the requisite arm to make all the throws, demonstrates some decent escapability from the pocket, but can get a little bit scattershot in his approach. He seems to get excited sometimes and when he does his mechanics get a little sloppy.

The scouting report, this one courtesy of CBS Sports, sort of bears out my analysis:

We view Foles as a long term project for us at QB, and a potential starter down the road if we ever need to cross that bridge.

What, you guys didn't think I could go the whole draft without taking a wideout did you? Joe Adams is one of my absolute favorite players in the draft. The guy is electric and makes plays all over the field whether it's catching balls, running with the ball, or returning kicks. He's a guy that jumped out at me every time I watched Arkansas play and then went a put on a show at the Senior Bowl. Despite having a very good, pretty deep WR corps, we envision using him all kinds of ways and can't wait to get him on the field.

The Colts are thrilled to select James Brown who has the ability to play multiple positions on the offensive line. While he will primarily serve as a back-up to Anthony Castonzo, we believe that he could fill in at right tackle as well as both guard positions.

With the 119th Selection in the 2012 GM Leage Draft, the Cleveland Browns select …

    Josh Norman, CB, Coastal Carolina

The Browns organization is very happy to add the talented Josh Norman to our secondary. We're already set at the starting position, but we're expecting Norman can step in immediately and help fill a nickel CB role. At this stage in the draft, it's all about value and potential, and we feel that both are there for Norman.

We're planning on running a lot of press man concepts in the secondary, and we won't be asking him to cover anyone deep, so we aren't all that worried about his measurables from the concept. When we watch him on film, we see a physical guy who displays good ball skills and can make a ton of plays.

There are some corners who were just born to pick off passes. It sure looks like Norman could be one of those guys.

And of course, no pick would be complete without a scouting report, this one courtesy of ProFootballWeekly:

Personally, we like our corners to play a little bit cocky. I have little doubt that had this guy gone to a big time program and played the same way he would be a "fierce competitor" or some such nonsense. There's also the concern of him coming from a smaller school, but after watching him play in the the Shrine Game I'm not all that convinced. He's a small school guy, sure, but he's going to be a player in the NFL. Lucky for us he'll be a member of the Browns.

    Nigel Bradham, OLB, FSU!!!

We like all that Nigel brings to the table - hard working, athletic, productive, experienced. We hope he can come in and learn behind some great professionals (Beason, Davis, and Anderson) and find ways to contribute, but he'll also be nice insurance to have in case the unit has to deal significant injuries again.
