My glass is 100% empty, I have been optimistic every year. I was so excited in 2008 when we went 11-5 won the AFC East and even though we got knocked out by the Baltimore Ravens in the Wild Card Round of the playoffs I was so happy that I thought the Dolphins had finally turned the corner and thought the next season we would be even better. I was wrong each season have been worse. Right now I would be kidding myself to think the Dolphins will win even 4 games this upcoming season. I have no optimism anymore for this team.

I don't get the complaint about Flynn. From the end of the season when Luck, RG3, Tannehill, Barkley, Jones, Manning, Smith, Flynn, etc were all available and the banter was which one should we go after, everyone, virtually to a fan, stated unequivocally, that IF Philbin thought Flynn was worth it, that we would have to figure he knows more about the kid than we do....well, Mr. Loss just said that Philbin wasn't sure that Flynn could unseat MMoore, so what is your complaint, exactly ?? I'm not embarrassed about not landing Flynn. Mr. Loss stated that if his HC had wanted Flynn, he'd be here now....

Look, you can't blame Philbin...even if he thought more about Flynn than what the media and Ross are making over this, because who want's to hang their job on a question at QB with a QB-starved team like we are ?? If any other QB is brought in here and doesn't succeed, Philbin is in the clear...If Flynn had been brought in and failed...woo....the media and fans would be circling the wagons around both Philbin and Ireland...

Sorry, back OT...I won't worry about filling my glass until, oh...August or so...that's when we'll have a better idea of what this team will look like...

Before the off-season, I stated that QB was my priority and that my first choice (other than Luck) was Tannehill. So in that respect, I have not been disappointed. My first choice for HC was Philbin, so I'm happy there. I also thought they should re-sign Soliai. On the negative side, I was really disappointed with the Marshall trade as I saw him as our best (and one of our few) mis-match players. I also would have liked to see a better FS candidate brought in. I don't mind that Marshall, but reportedly he's being brought in as a CB. I would have preferred to bring back Will Allen.I'm not disappointed with losing Langford since I expected it. I also expected that we would/should cut Bell as his cap number was real high. I would like to get him back at a lower cap number, but wouldn't be upset if we didn't. Overall, I'd say I'm more positive than negative since I see Philbin/Tannehill as a good base to build on (should that happen). If we missed out on Tannehill or Weedon then I would be more negative than positive.

It was in his interview. He said that was what he was told.

I think you are using that term loosely, Padre.
He may have been good at one point, but I don't expect much from a 34-year-old QB, coming off back surgery, who when the season starts, will not have played a down of football in 20 months.

Glass half full or half empty

Hell, the glass that is the Miami Dolphins has had no freaking bottom on it for a few years now. Shoot things don't even stick to it to stay around, it just runs in the top and right out the bottom (where we will continue to live until we get rid of Ireland).
