With the 121[SUP]st[/SUP] pick of the NFL Draft, the Jacksonville Jaguars select DT Mike Martin from Michigan.

Martin (6-1, 306) was best player on the board in our opinion. Easily a third-round, if not second-round value because of his production and workout numbers (36 bench press reps, 4.88 40-yard dash)

He was a three-year starter at Michigan, a team captain, and played nose tackle for the Wolverines, although he has the capability of playing 4-3 DT or 3-4 DE.

Martin solidifies our defensive tackle depth and enables us to now go between the 4-3 and 3-4 front.

With the 124th selection of the draft, the Packers select:

    Tony Bergstrom, OT Utah

3/6/12: At the Senior Bowl, Bergstrom showed showed off some nice power and quality athleticism. He held his own against the defensive linemen that other All-Stars were struggling with. Bergstrom has the strength to anchor against bull rushes while his time playing on the edge helped him to slide with speed rushers. The senior was a first-team all Pac-12 selection in 2011.

Mature, seasoned right tackle. Has the agility, technique and size to contribute early in his professional career. Quick, active hands to latch on to defenders. Adequate foot quickness to remain outside. Can get to the second level with surprising agility when adjusting to moving defenders. Underrated athleticism, agility, balance and even straight-line speed to contribute. Impressed at guard and tackle at the Senior Bowl.

Will solidify our line, can play tackle or Guard. He projects inside for us

With the last pick of the 4th round, the Bills select Travis Lewis, LB Oklahoma.

Lewis had a statistically down 2011 season, but we like the fact he played through a broken toe rather than sitting a portion of the season.
If Buffalo's havoc-wreaking defense is to bring extra pressure, we'd like our non pass-rushing LBs to be able to cover. A stout defensive line vs the run allows us to go with the undersized Lewis here.

Travis burst onto the scene his freshman season with an amazing 144 tkl, 11.5 tfl, 3.5 sacks, 3 pbu, and 4 int. Being around Pat Willis, Von Miller, and Connor Barwin will re-motivate this once regarded top talent to reach his full potential.

I have been waiting for the chance to draft Prater and was tired of waiting around hoping he fell another 20 spots.

Prater is a physical CB and a team leader, very well spoken young man with a great work ethic. He thrives in press coverage because of his upper body strength and ability to turn his hips quickly, also a very hard hitter forcing 4 fumbles in 2011.

Excited to add Prater to the roster as I see alot of upside in him.

Don't know if you heard or not, but John Henderson, the DT/NT whom we traded for this offseason, abruptly retired. What follows is a conversation between myself and the Crypt Keeper himself, Dick Jauron:

Jauron: I don't wanna hear about no mother****in' ifs. All I wanna hear from your *** is, "You ain't got no problem, Jauron. I'm on the mother****er. Go back in there, chill them *****es out and wait for the cavalry, which should be coming directly."
VO: You ain't got no problem, Jauron. I'm on the mother****er. Go back in there, chill them *****es out and wait for the Wolfe, who should be coming directly.
    Jauron: You sending the Wolfe??
VO: Oh, you feel better, mother****er?
Jules: ****, viking, that's all you had to say.

    Yep. That's how it happened.

I love how you don't actually see any highlights on this clip until it's nearly 25% complete. That, and it uses the theme from Requiem for a Dream, which seems to be the go-to song for all aspiring filmmakers out there.

Still, the background on The Wolfe is impressive. Big East Defensive Player of the year. 21.5 tackles for loss. Team Captain. All around good guy. These guys - the guys who may be a little physically limited - are the guys you look for as the draft goes on.

As for what we're going to do with The Wolfe, our plan is to move him around along our defense front. Some pundits have recommended sliding him out to a 5 tech in the 3-4. We're taking a different approach. Our plan is to primarily play him as a strong side DE on run downs, where his high motor and hustle to make plays and hold up against the point of attack. On passing downs we can slide him back to his more natural DT spot, where he can use his quickness to wreak havoc from the interior of the defense.

Here's the scouting report on The Wolfe from CBSSports, not that you need one:

We're exciting to be bringing The Wolfe on board. At worst we expect him to join our defensive line rotation and add some nice depth for us at both the defensive end and defensive tackle spots, though we're drafting him with the idea that he can be a long-term answer for us at the SDE spot. We're happy to welcome him to the Browns organization.

With the 146th pick, the Tennessee Titans select LB Sean Spence from the U. I'm stunned that he wasn't selected... checked the list several times. Great fit for our attacking defense. Too much value to pass up here in the 5th round even though we are fairly well stacked at linebacker already.

Pass rushing is a necessity in today's NFL, and has been a major focus of our offseason. Harris is the type of inside pass rusher we were looking for. He will immediately be in our defensive line rotation as a situational player, with big upside to eventually be a starter.

Molk is quick off the line of scrimmage and gains an advantage on his man immediately. He is also quick to get out when pulling and can gather speed rather quickly to bury any linebacker in his site. He displays good footwork in nearly all of his movements and has a good pass set where he is able to quickly chop his feet and adjust to oncoming rushers

with the 153rd selection the packers select:

    Kheeston Randall, DT Texas

Randall is a model citizen in the classroom and off the field, where he dedicates appreciable time and energy to community needs. But dress him in a uniform and put him on the football field and he becomes a troublemaker the very instant the ball is snapped.

Randall fires off the line like a rocket, a trait reflected in his explosive vertical jump of 34 inches at the Combine, where he was listed as a nose tackle. He shows excellent traits to man that position. He has the an exceptional ability to own that precious real estate in the middle of the line of scrimmage, often holding off multiple blockers intent on evicting him. He uses long arms well for leverage and snagging any runners who get within his ample reach.

He is admired by college coaches and teammates as one who can quietly lead by example or command attention with a sharp wit that is as quick as his first step. Wherever he goes, watch for him to fit in quickly both on the team and in the community.

Positives: Strength gives ends a chance to twist inside and linebackers free lane to the passer on blitzes. Played with lean and leverage against the run, tough for one man to move (sometimes double-teams, too). Lower than offensive lineman on every short-yardage play. Good agility and ability to change directions for his size. Locker room and on-field leader.

Negatives: Doesn't rack up many sacks (four career) and gets only the occasional pressure, but could be more of a factor if asked to penetrate gaps more regularly instead of eating up blocks. Sees the ball well but is stuck on blocks when head-up; does not shed to make plays often enough. Flashes strong hands to rip off, but needs to use them more consistently.

With the 156th pick, the Bills happily select Quentin Saulsberry Steak, C Mississippi State.
This is a steal for us in the late 5th round as we feel Mr Steak is one of the most underrated, under appreciated, and undermentioned interior lineman this draft, and when you're this good and your name stays this quiet, it's often b/c many teams covet you. You only have to watch his "Champion Graded" performance vs LSU's Michael Brockers below to see why (#55 right guard).

Buffalo's immediate offensive turnaround in 2011 and tremendous ground game performance (Spiller 5.2 avg, Jackson 5.5 avg) owed many steak dinners to one of the NFL's best interior lines. The addition of Mr Saulsberry serves as a great insurance policy to keep this interior performing well as a zone blocking unit.

Quentin is a rock on the offensive line becoming the only Bulldog to ever start in every one of his game's with the team (49), and graded out 5 times as "Champion" in 2011, including vs the top 2 defenses in the country, Bama and LSU.

His zone blocking potential, understanding of the game, and valuable versatility (49 combined starts at RG, LG, C, RT) make him Scott Well's ideal future heir at center and an ideal primary backup along the interior in the meantime. This guy is physical, aggressive, nasty, well balanced, quick off the snap, strong based for his size, and wants to finish his man off on every play. With his relentless style of play combined with such a high motor, look for his opposition to be worn down through the 4th quarter and subsequently run all over by Jacobs to close out a the game.

Nice pancake of Brockers at the 0:55 mark, then again at 1:28, and again at 1:54, and again at 2:57.
