blech, who even cares. he was on the cusp of being the werst middle linebacker in the league. I'm talking Dansby and Burnett through our first 7 games bad.
The reports of how he clashed w/Henne and Moore. He certainly didn't seem to have a problem throwing Moore under the bus in the media so I don't doubt it's true. But I know, I know, he and Cutler are bffs so he must be a cool guy.
Nope, just knew the next straw you'd grasp for. Why wouldn't Marshall and Cutler be bffs? They've got a lot in common, like being overrated and underwhelming.
Uh huh. OR you knew your argument was flawed, and there was an obvious reason. You thought by making fun of it, it would help prove your point. Then you say he's overrated, even though I'm not sure who's overrating him. I do think it's funny that, even though NO ONE has come out and said Marshall is a bad teammate, you've accepted it as fact, whereas several people have come out and said things about Jeff Ireland and you've brushed them off.
By the way, how is what Marshall said about Matt Moore any different than what Jeff Ireland is doing in seeking another QB?
I'm guessing some clerk accidentally mispronounced his name. Maybe what they thought they were pronouncing was "Misi's name" but what their slaughtered Samoan attempt was actually saying was "punch me in the face". Probably just a misunderstanding. Happens.
A. Jeff Ireland is the general manager, its his job to evaluate the talent and make decisions on who to replace. B. Jeff Ireland never said Moore should be replaced. He said they needed "better play at QB", which is rather ambiguous. C. I think ideally Jeff Ireland would prefer not to say those things, but he's required to in order to satisfy the appetite of fans.
Or Luck.....I think that might be the straw that breaks me.....is if the Colts take RG3 number 1...... and as a Dolphin fan I expect it actually
Certainly most people dont, considering the amazement that we'll likely be starting Matt Moore week 1
Actually it was Mr. Loss that stated that we need to acquire a franchise QB, not El Jeffy... There is semantics involved here though so one person reads 'addressed' the situation as one thing and someone else sees it as something else... We are not really worse off than last year at this point, but it's debatable as to how much better we are...
You would of been so be happy I saved you the time. No other teams had interest in Marshall so that'd be 30 other teams sharing that opinion of him as opposed to 3 players for Ireland. But I'm sure that's all a lie.
I'm surprised as an NFL Insider, you still take the time to post so much on this board. I know I'm grateful.
What evidence do you have to the contrary other teams wanted him? I keep hearing it said other teams wanted him, but I see no evidence.....
Exactly. Ireland sabotaged the Flynn deal, because he didn't have much interest in the first place. Ross is saying one thing, Ireland is doing another (i.e, whatever he wants).
Riiight bc Ross would just lie about it to the media and then hope no other team would say anything. Of course I'm sure his plan all along was to just ship him to CHI, the first and only team he talked to, for a discounted price.
Because of the price, two third round picks. Unless the Bears pulled a Magic Johnson (who offered 2 Billion for the Dodgers when the asking price was $600 Mill), I doubt they'd give up that much if there wasn't any other interest. Teams who are trading for a guy call other teams to gauge interest, too.
Reggie Bush went for a 6th Round pick (a swap, actually). THAT'S what it looks like when teams have little interest in trading for a guy.
Who was the NFL insider again? lol Just give up. Your hate for Ireland clouds your judgement for every move we do or don't make as a franchise. But I'm just an Ireland apologist bc I don't have a bias ^^ Your next straw
I don't hate Ireland. I hate that he's a ****ty GM who's put together a ****ty team. That's what you and others don't understand, while you defend this franchise at every turn. I doesn't take an Insider to use common sense. You say no one else wanted Marshall. I say, if no one else wanted him, he wouldn't have garnered two 3rd Round picks, because why would Chicago give that up for a guy no one else wanted? I point out how little compensation Reggie Bush got, and that had more teams been bidding for his services, the compensation would be more. You understand how business works, right? Your blind faith in this team is disturbing. It's fine though, everyone is entitled to their opinion. I don't think any less of you for being a fan in NY who gives more money to the Bills than the Dolphins. Can't say I blame you. This year's going to be the first year in nearly a decade I don't give them any of my money.
^Not to mention, if the Dolphins CUT Marshall, don't you think Chicago would be high on his list of teams he'd like to play for? His BFF is there, after all.
Your whole argument dies right there. How would CHI know what other teams offered at that time? Crystal ball or telepathy? It's sad that you have to act like people are either pro or anti Ireland to attempt to make a point. Only simple-minded people need to see things in absolutes like that.
Well clearly if so many other teams were interested as you say, someone would of used their waiver priority to pick him up right?
Right, I'm listening to an NFL owner speaking publicly and not assuming he's lying bc some guy on the internet says he is. I must be crazy. Where's my tinfoil hat?
