I agree about the murdering of the cap space, only I'm not blaming Ireland for it simply b/c I don't know how much of it was on Parcells or how much of it Ireland would've still done in Parcells' absence. I'd like to blame someone, but I really don't know who to blame, so I wont. Perhaps Ireland recognizes your point about Denver and is trying to take a similar approach by keeping/re-signing key inexpensive low profile players and building through the draft (Ireland's way rather than Parcells') rather than continuing the trend of questionable, expensive free agent contract busts like Smiley, Grove, Carey, and Gibril.... or just plain expensive free agent contracts like Marshall. IMO once we get everything under control is when we start looking at those high profile FA's who seem to be the missing piece of the puzzle that help push us over the top (IE: after next season after we've hopefully re-signed most of our key players, drafted well this year, and had our 2011 drafted guys show signs of promise). Good point. What if some of the players you cut for the rebuild are also players you'd want to bring in for a rebuild? Personally, I don't see any reason to gut a defense that's young and already playing well IMO. Garrard is a one year contract. He won't affect our cap next year for re-signing guys. I don't see a need to completely clean house when we only have X amount of draft picks. If we draft well this year, then the production or promise of those players should allow us to not have to re-sign some of our contract year guys like Fasano, no?
Never take the last turkey leg when there is a samoan in the room. That is just begging for a beatdown.
Dude, why continue to bang your head against the wall? You can't reason with them. Lovers gonna love.
Want to really throw up? Koa Misi over Rob Gronkowski and John Jerry over Jimmy Graham. In consecutive rounds.
That stings too, but at least we got ourselves another defensive lineman out of the deal. We don't have enough of those.
According to the police report, witnesses say several people on a balcony got into an argument with a group of people walking by on the street below. One of those individuals allegedly ran to the apartment's entrance and attempted to break through the front door. Witnesses say a 19-year-old male resident was sleeping on the couch when Misi gained access to the apartment by punching a hole through the wooden front door. The man stood up and was allegedly punched in the eye. Misi left the apartment shortly after that but was followed by three adult females who demanded that he pay for the damage to the apartment. According to the police report, one of the women said when she told Misi she was calling law enforcement, Misi grabbed the cell phone and threw it on the ground. Trade misi for a box of cornflakes or whatever we can get for him, Ship his listless azzzz out of hear, NOW.
One good thing about his is we do not have to suffer thru Misi's useless playing abiliities any more. He fits well as a sub on an arena football league team. Wish him well and watch that astro turf Nava or Nawa or Nooga or whatever his name is.
I've been crying over spilled milk regarding the draft for years. My #1 annual cryfest is JJ passing up on drafting Olin Kreutz to trade down for 3 lower picks used on players who amounted to little more than nothing. I was pretty upset on draft day because of it, but since it was the great JJ doing the deciding, I tried to tell myself he knew what he was doing. In 20/20 hindsight there are a lot of better scenarios that could have taken place. I doubt we are the only ones crying over their team bypassing Gronk and Graham. I was wrong, because at the time I liked the trade down, and the choices of Odrick, Misi, Jerry and Edds.
I don't know if I should laugh or cry at this stupid **** anymore. But like Forrest Gump's momma always says, "Stupid is, as stupid does."
ya gotta admit that is pretty badass! Punching thru the door? Nice! We got a real tough guy on our team!
Yea, it takes a real tough guy to grab a phone from a woman and throw it on the ground. I have felt all along that Misi is a very mediocre player and now with this arrest, perhaps the Dolphins will get rid of him, just as they did Marshall. I suspect that based on his play in 2011 and this recent arrest, the Dolphins might be able to get a 7th round pick in exchange for Misi.
More likely somewhat intoxicated than roid rage. Roid rage is such an overused and often misrepresented term. Not all anabolic steroids have the side effect of roid rage. In fact, a low pct of them do. Any pro athlete who used them would be able to afford the highest quality steriods with high anabolic and low androgenic properties.
Reminded me of this. Anyone here remember this? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HpiMUKfSKIQ IM THE JUGGERNAUT *****

IMO, your feeling that Misi is mediocre, just goes along with the general negativity that you have toward the team in general. He showed as a rookie that he has some pass rush potential with 1 QB disruption every 7.9 pass rush snaps. He had his pass rush snaps cut by more than half last season, apparently to use JT instead. That decision probably didn't make much more sense than the way they so seldom used Wake during his first season with the team in 2009. Both seasons he has graded high among 3-4 OLB in run defense. As a rookie he was 3rd in the league for run defense grade. Yup, that sure does sound pretty mediocre.
