I have no clue who controls what. I will say for those defending Armando or even Omar, both would be out of work if they ever left S Florida. I have read examples put up of this team and its Oline and that team and its Oline and can say this.

Each team listed and to go further, each team in the NFL on average, brings in the same amount of Oline I mentioned in my post, no team is different. I never said only 1st 2nd or 3rd rounders make up all the starters. What I was bringing forth was purely on a numbers basis. People can research it alllll they want. Check out every single teams roster/make up, during OTAs, then check it during camp, some daily as it changes with injuries. Then check the final roster once its made up just prior to when the season starts and know what ? Each team will mirror or look exactly the same in regards to how many offensive lineman were brought through the Organization from the start of OTA'S up until the final 53 are selected prior to the first game.

Each team listed by a previous poster, at one time or another, had 3 starters on the Oline prior to OTAs. What he reflected in that post was final game day rosters once the season started and if anyone bothered to connect the dots, the last time I looked the Falcons, Ravens and Lions all have not half bad QBs.

I will say this and I have no clue who made the final decision, picking Jake Long over Mat Ryan was stupid. Reading other boards and now seeing that Long expects to be the highest paid LT in the league on his new contract ? Fine Jake, Thanks, but go do it somewhere else because days of wheell barrels full of gold are gone my friend. When the first overall pick in the draft now garners around 22 to 25 million and is a skill player, yeah Jake, you can stay for 15 to 20 million or I will buy you your goodbye cake.

I would take any upper first round pick this year for Jake Long if he is going to hold stern on being the highest paid LT in the league because frankly, he is no longer the best LT in the league. He has had some serious injuries as of late and business wise, the team has to see what he can do on the field, not with his mouth or agent.

Sorry to ramble, point being, every team runs boatloads of Olineman thru their organizations every year and no, each team does not find 5 new starters every year or even keeps the same 5 starters most times from year to year.

You are way smarter than to seriously think this.

    1) Prove to me Philbin didn't want Garrard. He actually fits the system EXTREMELY well if healthy.

    2) You seriously think Ireland just signs whoever he wants and tells the rest of the office to STFU?

Ireland has final say over decisions yes. You know who has even more final say? Ross. I'm sure Ross wants a HC and GM who can work TOGETHER. Anyone would. Even the stupidest of owners would. Do you think Fischer doesn't work with the Rams GM even though he has final say? I'm pulling out the big guns here....

The picture you guys have painted about the HC and GM is utter...wait for it....POPPYCOCK

So can I safely assume that when we have a successful season next year (notice I say "when" as I have THAT MUCH faith in Philbin), you'll be changing your tune about Ireland and say he's the greatest thing since sliced bread...since HE ALONE brings in who HE wants...or will you still find fault with him?

The team has talent. The coaches coaching that talent sucked. Ergo, coach is gone.
