14 pages of how good Ireland is at pouring concrete in the draft? FMA this is a new low...

Pretty comical really. You guys really are treating this discussion like a Jr. High bully session. Mocking someone who simply doesn't agree with you in circle jerk fashion and high fiving "fist pumping" each other.

You're great at twisting words and taking tongue in cheek statements literally with no purpose other than to be a pest. I'll get my apology when Ireland is fired. What a glorious day that will be. The homer in you allows you to ignore the obvious signs. Like I said, I'll be here to do the unfortunate deed of throwing it right back in your face.

Birds of a feather flock together. They've all been wrong together several times in the past by taking the homer stance. They'll all be wrong again for taking the homer stance. Sooner or later they'll grow up and lose their naivety. They can only praise mediocrity for so long.

The word is NAIVETE. Please don't try to use big boy words if you can't spell them.

    Thanks!

Please link the posts you find me being a homer in and also the ones where I've been wrong.

    Thanks.

    Objectivity doesn't matter to him.
If you disagree with his embarrassing "Fall flat for Matt" mantra, you're a homer.
It's his skewed way of rationalizing his obnoxious belief to himself as being justified. :wink2:

The Dolphins will have a losing season, and Jeff Ireland will be fired unless he drafts Tannehill and then his execution will be held back another year after the Dolphins have their 5th straight losing season in 2013. Take this to the bank. I will make sure to remind you of this after the season.

R&R, why don't you just leave and follow another team?? Seriously, kid. You are the most negative whiny little kid I have ever seen. Go bandwagon some other team. I hear the Jets need some KNOWLEDGEABLE fans, go there.

    See ya!

FYI, you are blocked. I have no time for an insecure child who is so desperate to be right that he roots against his own team to feed his frail ego.

    Blocked.

Common theme in this thread. Twist my words. Put words in my mouth. Take obvious tongue in cheek statements literally. Nobody can prove to me that Ireland is a good GM. Nobody can prove to me why he deserves his job. It damn sure wasn't his draft. Sure wasn't free agency. This year or last. Same old "Let's just wait and see" nonsense. We will wait and see. And then there will be more excuses next year. And I will shoot them all down again.

Why would I go anywhere? I'm the one who wants what's best for my team by not accepting mediocrity as an answer. Can't say the same for Miami's #1 Superfan over here. While I want a real QB, and to win a Superbowl some time in my lifetime, you're fine and dandy with Matt Moore and mediocrity. That's not my definition of a real fan.

I already made you look foolish once trying to correct my... correct grammar. I will continue to do so. Block me. Like I said before. One less "optimist" to have to argue with. We both benefit.

Those of us opposing you don't have to prove crap to you! He's already hired. Duhhh. It seems pretty arrogant of you to think the burden of proof lay on us to show why a hired person deserves his job.

One of these days it might squeak through your thickheadedness that, if you want Mr Ireland fired, it's up to you to prove to us that Ireland no longer deserves to keep a job he initially earned. You haven't proven a.n.y.t.h.i.n.g. You've done a lot of double-talking though, I give you that. Maybe in a backwards, subjective world it's "guilt before innocence", but here in the objective real world, it doesn't work that way, brobeans.

Again, he's already our GM, so it's on you to prove why this shouldn't be the case. If, however, this was 2008 again and Ireland was nothing but a GM "candidate", then you might have an argument. Unfortunately, it's not 2008. The guy's been hired; now it's on you to prove why he deserves to be fired. FACTS, man, give some FACTS.

Quick, make excuses! All Parcells fault! Jeff Ireland slept through the drafts so can't be responsible for those picks! Jeff had no say, he was just a puppet! 7-9 seasons are extraordinary! He wanted Matt Ryan but I can't prove it! I claim he wanted Ryan, but I preferred Long, but I'm still too optimistic to call Jeff an idiot on that! Our team is actually really, really talented, blame Sparano!

But still waiting on why Ireland deserves his job. Why he's a good GM. You can't do it. Can only counter that with... But... But... But... That's your job to prove it!

You just gave our record the past 3 years. So what. Give FACTS that Ireland was responsible for those losing seasons. :wink2:
I don't have to make any excuses. In fact, in this particular situation I don't have to argue anything, period.

You're the one making excuses to help support an argument. You still haven't provided relevant, substantiated facts.

Basically, you're the prosecutor's side, and we're the objective jury. So far you've provided little to no relevant facts, but you have provided tons of conjecture which, unfortunately for you, has been dismissed by the judge and stricken from the records b/c of its irrelevant and opinionated nature. At this point in the trial, you've done it so often the judge has likely warned you about potential disbarment.

PS: What you intentionally & ignorantly seem to not understand is that we are neither for nor against Ireland keeping his job, and we're definitely not homers about it, but I can see where an ego-sensitive person would feel the need to throw out that type of accusation in order to make himself feel better and to rationalize in his mind why the other party is "wrong". You keep mentioning "homer" in the sense that we're not being objective, when in fact, ironically, the person with a bias belief is none other than yourself. Ireland may very well deserve to be fired, but until the actual supporting evidence is put forth, some of us objective minds will continue to take the middle ground.

No. I'm the prosecutor. Your the Ireland defense team. Ireland has been charged with doing a terrible job.

    7-9
    7-9
    6-10

    Make your defense.

PS: If you're too naive to see the signs, you're being a homer.

He did an average job. Among the worst in the NFL takeaways both years, consistently shredded by good QB's. To average it out, Ireland didn't exactly give him all that much talent either. Very good DL, and decent LB's, but only one pass rusher and a secondary consisting of trash safeties and highly inconsistent corners.

lol. The prosecutor doesn't just get to take any case to court that he wants. You have to first prove it's worthy of trial. So again, it's back on you.

Added: Once you prove via pertinent and related facts it's worthy of trial, the rest of us will decide whether or not to defend or prosecute him. So right now we're the jury (or the judge to be more specific) who is waiting for you to prove this deserves to go to trial.

Saying 7-9, 7-9, 6-10 doesn't cut it. His defense would counter by saying, "Both the ineffective Head Coach and Offensive Coordinator were fired; the new OC faced a shortened offseason, and the person who ran the organization for 2 of those years is no longer with the team". The judge would then ask you for something that's not circumstantial if you want any chance of taking it to court.

I think the saddest thing about this thread is that this kid thinks he knows more about football than Casserly, Jones or Brandt. LOL!!! He has never been paid one dollar for his football "knowledge" yet he is here shoving it in our faces. The louder one speaks, the more ignorance he displays.

R+R you do realize a lot more goes into a teams record than the general manager? I've seen you so many times say it was the fault of Sparano and Ireland. I can accept Sparano but the point is you have yet to show exactly what Ireland has done wrong to contribute. Tony Sparano himself cost us in my opinion three games last season. I can't really say Ireland cost us any but I'd be more than willing to listen to why you think he has. That's all anyone wants. You to explain to us exactly what he has done wrong.

Best example I can think of. Imagine Sparano is a CD and Ireland is a CD player/sound system. Ireland can be top of the line but if the CD has scratches all over it and won't play there is nothing it can do. If the CD doesn't work you get a new one (Philbin) but you don't discard your sound system too and buy a new one because that would be ridiculous.
