NO! Why give away the leader of our LB corp to draft a guy in the second, that fills one hole but opens another. He stuffs the run and is a crucial part of this team We complain how bad our GM is but left and right I see the idea of trading away Jake Long, Reggie Bush, Cameron Wake, and Now THIS!! NOO
you wouldn't trade jake long, he's about to be in the prime of his career. Dansby is old(er) and isn't a pro bowler the way Long is. The idea wouldn't be to create a hole, it would be to re-enforce a position with a younger, more talented player through the draft. If i could trade dansby along with some other picks/players to get back in the first round to grab the dude from Boston college I'd do it in a heart beat. say for example, take who you want at pick 8. Tanny, coles, decastro(maybe trade back for either tanny or decastro). Then trade back into the mid teens by giving away dansby, maybe the extra third or whatever you pulled from trading back from 8. How aboutif you don't take a qb with the 8th pick you trade back into the late 1st round and grab weeden? If I could pull a draft that nets us say... floyd/blackmon at 8, Kuechly by trading dansby and weeden by trading back into the late first with our extra/future picks I'd be all for it. You fill a hole at WR and quaterback plus get a lot younger and potentially better at MLBer. Obviously they arent trading dansby but even if they did and didnt get Kuechly I'd still be happy. how about a combo of BPA at 8, decastro and either best WR or weeden?
Td's are not the primary production monitor. Everything is and that includes everything. Is the object to score? Yes, but you have to get there first, and it would be nice if there was a Qb throwing perfect passes every single time as well. Off the field, he is an idiot. On the field he is damned good. I would not care one bit if i saw a plan to replace his production but right now there is none.
marshell was def a player other teams had to gameplan around. he got doubled and tripple teamed yet our other WRs couldn't do **** against single coverages. Not having that WR that takes all the coverage away from the other players is huge. I'd rather have traded dansby than marshell at this point to be honest.
he got so much less double and triple teams that your making it out to be, Marshall's speed is very questionable IMO, I think we were seeing a legit 4.6 guy.
yes, I could deduce what he was trying to say, but IMO, if you're going to start a thread, you should put a little effort into it so you don't come across as lazy or dumb. if it was just a post in a thread, I would have ignored it.
Dansby sucks, but you're going to trade him for a pick that you could use on kuechly... Wrong forum, this isn't the place for madden talk.
Dansby wouldnt be any significant trade bait so this is really pointless, a team who is a contender with a hole would maybe give a 4th...he will be a Phin and hopefully has a better year than he has since he got here.
Everyone should always be available to trade if the price is right. I really don't know what the price should be for a good linebacker in the prime of his career. 3rd round pick?
Karlos Dansby 2012 Salary...$8,800,000...cap hit...$12,800,000 103 tackles 2 sacks 1 interception 1 forced fumble ROOKIE Mason Foster 2012 Tampa Salary...$501,000...cap hit...$632,000 84 tackles 2 sacks 1 interception 1 forced fumble Almost the same in production for 8.3 million less in salary amazing that a rookie produces 99.9 % of Dansbys production for less than 6% of his salary
You forgot to mention the part where Foster struggled in coverage and will be moved to the outside because of it
