    "holding happens every play" or so the saying goes. Wake gets molested though. Holds should count towards the player being held the same way a missed block leads to a sack.

    You realize that is exactly what PFF grades right? Not statistics?

    If that player is properly occupying his gap all season I will guarantee you that opposing teams will have a low YPC on attempts to his hole/side. Over the course of a season. In one or two games it is possible to have wonky numbers but it evens out more or less.

    No, that's not what they grade. They make a judgment based on what they think a player's responsibility is. They don't know what his responsibility is. From the times I compared their evaluation, I don't think they have very good judgment.
