So this is dolphins related because it affects if we can get Tannehill. I just got a text from ESPN with browns GM Tom Heckert saying the team needs "guys who can score points". I don't know about you, but to me that sounds like they may be taking a skill position other than the QB. Who knows, it is possible I am reading what I want to.

He could mean QB or any other playmaking position on offense.

Not much to look into imo.

If Miami isn't hard into Tannehill I've wondered if Cleveland themselves wouldn't be the perfect trade back partner at #8 considering they have another first rounder and may want to secure Tannehill. They perhaps may even overpay for the guarantee of being able to select him.

I don't watch a lot of Browns football, but it is my impression that their skill positions are awful. They don't have hillis and their receivers are meh. Possible they feel colt can be ok with some weapons.

Are you saying they use their 22nd pick to trade up to our 8?

I'm saying I wondered about the possibility. At that spot you can take Weeden (if you like him) Fleener, or a WR. Cleveland gets the security of no-one in front of them grabbing Tannehill (KC for example) and we could possibly get some good picks.

Have you seen their schedule? They're practically staring 0-6 right in the face and the only team I see them possibly beating is Indy and maybe Washington.

That's my read as well. Their skill positions are awful. It really comes down to what they think of Colt. If I were in their position I would probably go with a skill position first (Richardson or Blackmon) and look for Weeden at #22. I think they're well situated to pull that off.

If we liked Weeden more than Tannehill than I would absolutely love that trade. You take Weeden at 22 and then with the extra picks from Cleveland and the 3rd from the Bears you could possibly trade back into the first and nab Fleener.

True, but are they referring to someone who can score points right away such as Trent Richardson or one of the premier wide receivers? Or, are they talking about Tannehill down the road after he develops because he is not projected as an immediate starter ready quarterback?

I think Colt can become a decent qb if they actually give him something worthy to throw to. Don't really think Weeden is much of an upgrade over Colt. They need to go Richardson, then highest ranked receiver on their board in round 1.

Personally I would take Richardson over any other player in the draft except for Luck and RG3. In fact if the Dolphins were to trade up to the third pick, as some have suggested they need to do in order to ensure they can draft Tannehill. I would rather they select Richardson with this pick. I think he is a stud running back and if the Browns do get Richardson and Weeden in the first round, I see them being a far better team in 2012 than the Dolphins.

I think there's a pretty good chance that Cleveland can come out of this draft with Richardson, Weeden and Wright as their first three picks. That would probably be my goal if I were them.

Tanny will not be able to help them any time soon so I am assuming he means scoring points now and that would indicate to me they are leaning towards Richardson, the best RB since Petersen.

if they get blackmon and weeden theni hope miami wins just 1 or two games next year so we can get a star qb not the 6th best qb from the big 12 . i almost hope another qb needy team jumps ahead of us to take tannehill because with or without Him we aren't winning 6 games anyways . i like the defensive end from Carolina what was his name again ? that is how iam leaning right now . if we cant get a stud qb or wr then it may as well be defensive end.

Blackmon at 4 and Weeden at 22 makes sense for them. They just took hardesty in rd 2 two years ago and I liked that kid a ton.

I'd take Blackmon over Tannehill. Hell I'd take Blackmon over Griffin.

So if hypothetically they both fell to us, you would rather take Blackmon over RGIII ? I don't know about that.

I think its Blackmon and Weeden at 22. Or it could be Blackmon and David Wilson. I really don't know how much they like McCoy.

It seems like I am hearing a lot of negative stuff about McCoy from everywhere, I didn't study his play or anything but when I did see him preform he seemed like a play maker that can by time with athleticism. Can you give me some overview about why is considered a bad player and already getting kicked out of Cleveland.

Blackmon over Griffin is a bit of a stretch I don't even think Blackmon ends up being the best wr in this draft and even more so if he gets drafted by Cleveland he'll die in that offensive system.
