This fight is going to be really good. I am very excited to see it. Both guys trained together for so long, Greg Jackson is now exclusivley training Bones, and I feel the first round will be a lot of dancing / feeling eachother out. The 2nd round imo all bets are off. Jones has a ridiculous 9.5" reach advantage. He is so ****ing amazing......my favorite fighter, and has been wayyyyyyyyyyyyyy before the hype (i know, I sound like a hipster, but seriously ask Skeet84) I can't wait for this one! Getting to B-Dubs around 7 to get a nice seat, beers and wings galore, going to be a glorious night!
He has a chance if he gets in tight for a elbow or hook knock out.....but I don't see jones letting him in close without getting some offense in himself. If rashad can dirty box him against the cage or somehow get lucky with a counter....absolutley....All I know however is Jones has NEVER....thats right....NEVER...been taken down in a fight.....certainly a former heavy weight, big ten wrestler (rashad) may have the best chance to make it happen. But with Jones ridiculous reach, speed, athelticism and pure talent...also his amazing wrestling ability himself, I don't see it happening.
He may be "faster" but not "quicker" if that makes sense. Regardless, I know machida had jones confused early on in their fight, but Bones adjusted. He will do same with Rashad.
Jones is just to good. The absolute only chance Rashad has is if he catches Jones unbalance and Rashad takes him down and can finish him. But I dont see it
Lol I know what you mean about liking him "before the hype" I loved the guy since the his first fight that I saw vs Bonnar where he had all kinds of spinning fists/kicks.
no homo, but thats when I fell in love. I punched a wall when he got a "no Contest" against Matt Hammil for his 12-6 elbow....he was dominating that fight, I was so ****ing pissed haha
I remember Jones before the hype too. Really enjoyed watching him fight. Now everyone loves him. I got him in this fight though. I think Evans is his best competition but I don't expect Evans to do enough to win.
I like Rashard, but think Jones is just too gifted. Jones is the beginning of the new wave of greats. I really like Rashard though. I was happy when he was on TUF against Jackson. Jackson is all talk.
I personally think Rashad is going to win the fight. He's a very smart fighter and has great striking. I think he wins by KO in the 2nd round. Man's on a mission to get his belt back.
That was very one sided, ha. So glad to see Rory win though. Have loved his talent since I watched him in the prelims where he was kicking ***. He's so technically sound and accurate.
Maybe he was saying stamina and conditioning can kiss his *** because he certainly showed up with neither.
