I guess that makes sense as a block. Assuming they don't really like two guys as have been reported and they have their hearts set on one that was about to be taken if by another if they didn't trade up. Hate to say it, but seems like a real smart move by Spielman.
Jay Glazer tweeting that Minny is looking to trade down again from that new #4 spot. Minny looking to stockpile picks.
Interesting I wonder if Tampa is truly afraid of Minnesota taking Claiborne? Minnesota needs some serious help at safety wont be shocked if they move down to 7 and take Barron after Jags move up and take Blackmon.
Browns had 13 overall picks to insure a pick that's considered the best RB to come out of the draft since AP. I'd say that's a pretty good trade.
the bucs were lurking and were thinking about trading with the vikings to grab richardson, so the browns beat them to it.
Well, I think the Brownies wanted to make sure he was there when they picked. Per Rick Speilman (as of yesterday), the Vikes were getting "plenty" of calls about that pick. I mentioned in a thread a few weeks ago after the Redskins trade, the Vikings essentially had the 1st overall pick given the inevitability of the picks at 1 and 2. I had a good feeling that they were going to get plenty of calls about that pick. I think the Browns feel that Richardson (presumably) is worth that many draft picks (which really is not all that much for a potential All-Pro back). The Browns essentially get the first overall given the situation. They have a shot at whomever they please knowing that Luck and RGIII are out. I would not mind it if it were a Browns fan. They still have 10 or so picks.
Espn reported that Browns GM saying he wants to do a RB/WR combo with their first round picks. Smokescreen?
Watch the Dolphins pass on Tannehill with thoughts of Weeden in round 2, and then the Browns take Weeden with the 22nd pick, leaving Miami without a QB again.
