He said he didnt plan too. And then circumstances changed. If thats the case, he didnt lie.

Except he said he did not PLAN on cutting him!!! Not once did he say he wasn't going to!!! Right?

You're taking this and turning it into something its not....

I don't even like Ireland but what you're doing is making me defend him.

What else is he gonna say? "Yeah, I had no intention of keeping him but didn't want the Jets to sign him either"?

I am going by what he said. You're going by what you think he meant by saying something totally different. It's like you took a video of this and played it backwards and it said I'm not going to cut him but I am....

Grown men being paid millions, if you don't want to lose your starting job play better. I'm sure a majority of NFL GM's are scum but how is that different than a CEO at a huge company. They lie to everyone everyday.

Exactly. I was just pointing out that Ireland isn't the only one who does this and folks are just getting brainwashed by the media coverage. You follow any GM as much as the media has followed Ireland since the Harbaugh fiasco and we'd come up with loads of crap.

It's just proof that ALL GM's do this. I'm amazed that you've been so oblivious that you've never noticed this before even when there is near weekly proof of this. Ireland isn't even close to the top 5 for treating players like crap. Hell look at what NE does with players all the time.

It's a culmination of things with Ireland. And as I've stated MANY times, if he puts together a team that performs as well as New England's does, he can do whatever the hell he wants and I'll be cool with it.

That's all fine and good, but when it starts clouding your judgement that you attack a guy for something everyone else does........all I'm pointing out ;p

I attack him for many things; that, drafting ****ty, not addressing the QB position (until now), his horrible people skills, etc. I'm an equal opportunity Ireland basher. If we had another GM who had put together a crappy team and did the same things, I'd attack them too.
