No, I got exactly what you're saying. Your method of evaluation completely discounts big returns from the "average" (you're really looking for a median or mode), which is not something I agree with.
Oops. Sleep deprivation will kill you. I just caught myself evaluating a guy versus Notre Dame in 2010 as versus Ohio State in 2011.
From what I can gather a partial tear of a ligament is also referred to as a degree or grade of sprain, depending on how much it is torn. If they are not a total tear, they will heal on their own, given the proper rest and rehab.
^Thanks. Iknew in was possible with the MCL but never heard that with the ACL. I've had my ACL recontructed so was just curious.
This is true. Same for most muscles. Bess must of kicked Gates in the groin before the season started.
The other thing to think about to is that Sherman was his offensive coordinator for his rookie year. It's a small sample size to draw from, but definitely can give Ireland/Philbin some more insight
Wow I forgot all about that Bess injury. Thinking back, that was a gruesome looking hit he took in that Jets game. Glad he'll be ok by camp.
If we're below-average, it makes no sense to sign average players and decrease our chances of drafting someone great.
