Really sets up for a great game next week. Madrid were able at times to create some good opportunities along with Bayern, so really looking forward to it.

Dont be surprised to see Chelsea turn over Barca either. They have been in great form since AVB left and I think Drogba vs Mascherano could be a huge mis-match for Chelsea.

Madrid looked real suspect on the wings. Not good considering our wings and wingbacks. I thought we did an exceptional job on Ronaldo today as well. Aside from the free kick, only had one great opportunity all day.

On another note, David Alaba is quickly becoming my favorite player on the team. Masterful performance today by him. He's been great for us at the wingback position, and just gets better and better. Only 19, has a very bright future ahead of him.

    You called it.

Great performance by Chelsea today. I'm no Chelsea fan, but it's good to see Barca isn't invincible. I would expect Barcelona to win the round, however.

Chelsea got extremely lucky to be honest. I'll take it though. Would much rather face them in the final should we beat Madrid. Someone hand Drogba an Emmy. I thought Ribery was quite the diver yesterday but Drogba... That was ridiculous.

Ribery and Drogba were certainly clown acts on the field this week. Drogba spent majority of the first half rolling around on the ground.

I hope Chelsea can pull this off, though. I'm so sick of Barcelona at this point. Wouldn't mind seeing Bayern do the deed too. Madrid are just the lesser of two evils when it comes to Barca/Madrid.

Chelsea deserved the win. Played their rear ends off even if it came with some luck. The good teams have luck. However, I'd be surprised if they advance.

    Pulling for Munich.

To be fair to Ribery and Drogba, you have to fight fire with fire. Nobody dives more than Real and Barca.

About time somebody gave Robben a taste of his own medicine as far as I'm concerned. The guy is always getting into it with teammates. Pushing Philipp Lahm, Choking Thomas Muller, etc.

a little luck... alotta Petr Cech. Pulling their forwards to play the wings in defense once they were down a man. F Barca and their boring brand of football. I reckon John Terry knew what he was doing. Go down a man... win the match

Make sure to watch in higher quality, upwards to 1080 is available. Thankfully, no Italians play on the POS team. However, for your viewing pleasure, here is an Eye-Tie doing what we USED to be know for doing best. Think the other countries have caught up.

LOL. This one still cracks me up.

    Sorry Tone_E. Sorry giovafin.

But the deserved champions this year was Juventus!!!! Forza Juve!!!

Say whatever you want about Muntari's goal. But that was basically the ONLY call Juve got all season. They won a championship without losing a game! Taking only 3 penalties ALL year. They dominated just about every game except for 2 (first Napoli game, second Milan game). And had it not been for Buffon's huge blunder last week, we'd be 6 points up right now.

This was the most special scudetto for me as a Juve fan. After having a a couple disaster seasons finishing 6th and then 7th. To come out against the odds (rare for Juventus in Italy) and win was simply awesome!

    And thank god for espn3.

Congrats to Juve (I watched the Milan battle yesterday). Ibra can only do so much...

    Screw City.

Whispers of Dempsey to Arsenal (I'd love this)

    Will Sir Alex retire?

Surprised that Real's playmakers struggled with the PK's, but Bayern deserved that win

Laughed when Chelsea beat Barca (speaking of which, how about that DiMatteo? He's got Chelsea firing on all cylinders now. Shouldn't they remove the "interim" tag?)

    Screw City

Heart goes out to Bolton, was hoping they could stay in the PL this year after all they've had to deal with

    How about that Wigan?

Not a Man U fan but still can't believe they couldn't put away City. Did I say screw City?

The FA Cup Final was a good watch. Don't know why they didn't just start Carroll - LFC was losing every header battle before he came on.

Well, seems like City will nip U, and missed the success of Tottenham & Newcastle in top, and Liverpool was a downer of a prediction......but very sad for Blackburn and all the garbage they have become ('95 gets further and further away - can you say Dolphins!)! How I miss the days of Kenny D.

Cool that as it turns out the 3 prior newbies stayed up in the PL in the end.

Congrats! Nice to see Juve back on top (if not Milan of course) after the relegation and stuff. That goal essentially cost Milan 6 points. It was big.

The only reason I don't like Juve is because of Conte. He is constantly crying in the media and complaining. Hate his attitude really, and think he can show a lot more professionalism.

Regardless, very well done. Not one loss. Hard to beat out a team for the scudetto that doesn't lose a game. I attribute all of Juve's success to Pirlo, the ex Milanista. :tongue2:

Now, on to the Euros. Forza Azzurri!

    Right on!!!

Pirlo was the man behind the curtain. Definitely not ashamed to admit it. I've always had a soft spot for Milan. They were Italy's team of the decade from 01-09. I loved what Ancelotti did with them. Loved that he changed Pirlo from the trequarista(attacking midfielder) role to the regista(right in front of the defense) role. Changed the guy's career path and is the reason Italy was able to call themselves champions in 2006. If only Trappatoni would've realized it earlier we could've had more success in 2004 euro rather than getting bounced out early.

    Gattuso was an animal.
Maldini, Nesta, and Costacurta were awesome
    Kaka, Inzaghi, Shevchenko, Rui Costa

Man, I really liked that team!

I've been really disappointed with the direction Milan has taken. They're turning into Inter and Madrid. After '08 or '09 with their core getting older (Pirlo, Gattuso, Nesta, Inzaghi, Ambrosini, Seedorf, Maldini retiring, Kaka sold) it's like they refused to rebuild. Instead they just went out and bought big name foreigners like Robinho, Ronaldinho, Ibra, etc..

I believe the best teams build through their systems using patience with their development of players. Like Barca, Milan from last decade, ManU. I couldn't be happier with Juventus being patient with guys like Marchisio, Giaccherini, De Ceglie. All contributors to their success this year. Let's hope Milan can re-discover their way.

Im not dissapointed at all, and don't think it is as big an issue as you I guess. We are developing a young core ourselves but will definitely look to transferes. I'm hoping for Balotelli as there is a good chance Robinho moves back to Brasil.

Robinho, Ronaldinho, and Ibra I will have on my team any day, regardless. Ibra is a top 5 player in the world right now.

El Shaarawy looks to be the real deal, Abate will play for the Azzurri is quickly becoming one of my favorites. We own Paloschi but loaned him out to develop, another product of Milan Primavera youth squad. Just last week we saw a full game from Mattia De Sciglia at wing back, and he is showing some promise. Sure we've brought in the foreiners, but Milan has never and will never neglect their development squads. Not to mention the other young players we are developing like Strasser, Merkel, and Mesbah.

In any case, I am hoping most for Balotelli to be a diavolo next season. We should've sold Pato for $40M while we had the chance. Now he has no value, always injured, and knocked up Berlusconi's daughter too. lol. We already have Montolivo coming as a free transfer. Awesome pick up in my opin

I guess it's hard to blame you when TFC is 0-8

Hey, you know you guys are in the semis for the Canadian Nutralife championship? TFC just beat Montreal last night. Winner gets a champions league spot. That's kind of a big deal

DCU has a great group of young players. Fun to watch. I know RFK is a pit, but the quality of play between Blackburn and DCU isn't that far apart (I think MLS is better than people give it credit for.) DCU has the rookie of the year in Nick DeLeon and last year's MVP in Dwayne DeRosario. Of course DeRosario isn't as fun to watch as his compatriot Hoilett, but he's very effective.

In other MLS news, Philly just beat Schalke 04 last night. And New York Red Bulls won the Emirates cup last year, beating Arsenal and a host of other Euro teams. I'm not saying MLS is better - just that it's better than most give it credit for (Obviously NYRB isn't better than Arsenal). Sad that many fans of euro-based teams stateside don't know what they're missin! Nothing says you can't be a fan of both.

Whispers of Nesta going to NYRB too. Also Adebayor to NYRB is a possibility. Both can't happen but I wouldn't be surprised if one of the two happens.

Ok, I'll get off the soapbox now!
