so if he gets a ring before lebron you concede he is superior in every facet? hell if he just makes it to rd 3 and the heat lose rd 2 durant has become a far superior player according to your logic. 6-0 vs 4-3. he's already better

Well, no. He would have to play better than Lebron for me to say he is better than Lebron. He hasn't played better than Lebron so far in his career.

But if he wins a ring before Lebron, then I guess I won't troll you for fun about Durant anymore.

Oh he's definitely gone. He said as much. The only two questions are, how will his exit take place and to what team. I'm hoping we trade him during the summer and not let him leave as a FA next year.

    Orlando is about to esplode.

Sad how bad the NBA has gotten. This is also an indication of when you root for a team of floppers like the Heat. The Pacers are playing physical basketball. They have all year hence the high foul numbers. They're playing what basketball should be, and how it used to be before it became the pansy sport that it is today. The Heat can't handle it. Their fans can't handle it. I love it. This is real basketball. Not the flopping at everything that the Heat and Clippers provide to the sport.

And if you shoot jumpers all game, forget about getting calls. As a 76er fan, I know this more than anybody.

What???? All of the other Heat fans in this thread have said otherwise. Pacers are thugs, don't play good tough defense, they bully instead, etc etc.

Thank you, Stringer for being the voice of reason.

For the first time my confidence in the Heat has been truly shaken.

I've just never seen Wade play like that. It wasn't just that he had a tough night, it was like he forgot how to play. The guy who got knocked down 7 times but got up 8 was missing in action.

I don't think those things are mutually exclusive. They want to be bullies, thats the only way they can win. They are using the same game plan that the Celtics have used. Thats why Vogel has a head coaching job. I don't think they are as good as BOS or CHI were last year though.

He was pretty bad in last year's playoffs for a while. Sadly Wade has been trending in this direction for a while.

If he doesn't end up turning it around and we lose this series, I would hope they amnesty Wade.

 True but I'm a big fan of the dominant big man + dominant scorer/guard/forward combination. Ala Shaq + Kobe

Well like I said I wouldn't make that trade. But the thought of Howard + Lebron in some alternate universe/reality is pretty cool

Honestly I would trade Wade for Howard straight up though if it were possible. Crucify me.....

If you think about it for a second....Lebron on the outside penetrating, Bosh drawing one of the opposing big men away from the basket leaving Dwight to dominate the boards offensively and defensively.

LOL Orlando would never do that.

Either way, Wade still can redeem himself. Biggest game of his life on Sunday.

You guys also have to take into consideration D Wade is 6-3 6-4, and he's facing a guy right now that is 6-11.

To be honest I don't think Wade likes that Lebron is a better player than he is. When I watch Wade play in the playoffs I get the feeling he wants to prove this is still "his team" in the playoffs.

Obviously I have no idea if that is true or how Wade feels, it is just the vibe I get watching him.

Uhm, he DID win a Championship a few years back and made it to the Finals last year. I don't think a second round playoff game qualifies as the biggest game of his life.

I disagree. Howard might be the most overrated player in the game as a whole. Ever year we hear about how his offensive game will develop and it never happens. He's a very good defender, but between the lack of offense and the way he handled things in Orlando this year, I don't see how he'd be worth whatever a team will surrender to get him.

The Big Three work when they're healthy (/Bosh) and focused (/Wade).

Howard averaged 20 a game on 57% shooting....I don't really think his offensive game needs to develop much more than that. Not to mention Howard would fit in a lot more with the perimeter build of this team than Wade does.

Obviously Howard will never be in Miami and Wade is here to stay. However I will argue that Howard fits the mold of this team better.

Orlando is going to lose all leverage as soon as D12 says "I am testing free agency".................so their only recourse is to trade him no??....

That team would get cruificied if they let yet another dominant big man go to free agency and get nothing in return for him...

Sure it does. If he fails, then his legacy is seriously tarnished with the Heat. Just look at the fan reaction after last night. Those Finals games were essentially being played with house money for Wade.
